In a world where the only thing you know is war, the feelings of love and compassion are hard to find and hard to express. This is all to true for little Adelina Akamine. After the tragic events in her life, she becomes emotionless and void of any feeling. She's numb. After all, violence and hatred are all she knew. You have to be 'strong' like that in order to save whatever life you had left. But what happens when all of that ends and what she is is no longer acceptable? How could she possibly change with the time when that would mean abandoning everything she'd ever understood? She knows that she needs to change, but what can you do when everyone around you has moved on and thinks of you as the last burning ember of the war they wished to stamp out?
