Humans are magnificent creatures, not because of their awareness of life. But for their capability to unite and divide themselves because they choose to do so. Worst still, the only person you love is missing, lost in this hostile world. This is a bleak portrait of a dis-United Kingdom where North is fighting South, and the rest of the world has been turned upside down. Inspired by a dream (nightmare?) my father had when I was young, I started writing this story years ago and discovered it again recently, determined to finish it. I don't really do science fiction, so this is my first foray into the genre -- though technically speaking this is more alternative history than sci-fi. Let me know what you think!
