Reo is a prince, on his way of becoming future emperor the moment his father retires. Everyone around the kingdom loves him for his kindness and understanding, his intellectual and his generosity. He's the perfect prince, even the low class feels appreciated and acknowledged. He wants to change society and law all by himself. He seems like a strong and independent man.

So what if just one person can make him show everyone who he really is?

Seishiro is one boy of the lower class, he might not be at the border of existence but he still cannot be considered "wealthy" in any way. Other than the boys around his age that try to enjoy life to the fullest while they have the chance, the young boy of the Nagi family does not have such dreams or enjoyments. If the boys around him were "carpe diem" in "memento mori", Seishiro would be "vanitas". He does not see a reason to do anything like that when it doesn't have an excitable outcome. What does playing in the rain get one? The young lad does not understand. He would rather sit around his room all day, watching plants vegetate. Nothing excites him, he is done trying to search for something that does.

That is until he goes grocery shopping for his working mother one day...
