For eons, the people of Crisium spun tales of a subterranean continent called Frigoria, located deep beneath the perilous Ice-Cap Mountains central to the continent. Over centuries, many have explored the icy region, only to turn up empty-handed. As time passed, many reduced the tale to nothing but a figment of a rambling madman's imagination. Little did they know that Frigoria actually existed!

It was in Frigoria, that an archeologist working on a dig found a thick pane of glass and discovered a massive bio-dome, hidden for too long. Only one organism was inside, and it was meant to be forgotten. However, the creature escaped through a crack on the other side of the dome, into Crisium.

As the townspeople of Catherina Island are overcome with a deadly sickness, it's up to Aria Octavia, the only one not afflicted, to find the cause and cure.

The crumbling remains of the great American empire are home now only to savage, lawless tribes and packs of ravening Damned-the twisted children of the apocalypse. Most of those few who survived humanity's destruction spend their short lives in a violent struggle for survival. But some light still flickers in the darkness: the Blessed of Bountiful live in seclusion, relying on walls both physical and spiritual to protect them from the Desolation that their world has become. Among them are the Saints, those few men and women born with superhuman abilities that the Blessed see as gifts from God. The violent apostate tribes of the Northeast Kingdom have always been a danger, but up until recently its small size and the vigilance of its people have made Bountiful an unappealing target. Exile was a semi-finalist in Mark Lawrence's Great Self-Published Fantasy Blog-Off (#SPFBO). Fantasy Faction said it was "extremely cool," and Bookish Lifestyle called it "more than just a story, a journey and an experience." The dome, a sanctuary for many in a frozen hell of a planet called Aurelith, constructed and "maintained" by NeuroCore, a corrupt medical and pharmaceutical company gone mining exploitation of resources and people for yet unknown purposes. The people in it are known as the Moles. The dome is one of many other colonies around Aurelith, each working to the bone to fulfill the quotas assigned to them, with harsh punishments should they fail to succeed. Among them, one man, Viktor Lu'bierre, who arrived on this planet under mysterious circumstances 1 year prior, and his continued presence has stirred change for the people and parts of the world itself. No one knows what his purpose is, or what led him to Aurelith. And through comradery and collaboration, people still see him with an air of suspicion, well earned for his less than usual methods of "getting things done." The planet holds many secrets, buried between miles of ice and snow. Storm and electromagnetic anomalies hide the northern side of the planet, and what lies beyond the dead lands still remains unknown, as not even the best probes have been able to punch through the thick and mud of the thick, deadly hair up there.
