Samantha Jones, a sixteen-year-old introvert, enters high school and is nervous about her new life with our her best friend, Sarah Hayworth. When she befriends her seniors, she leans to cope with life alone, but it isn't always easy. As Samantha grows closer to her newfound best friends Janie Green and Patrick Williams, she develops a crush on their best friend, Matthew Watson. He might seem like your typical self-absorbed, overly-confident football player who has a hundred girls chasing after him, but he is extremely far from that, which is what Samantha sees in him. "We Were Just Kids" is an original work inspired by Stephen Chbosky's "The Perks of Being a Wallflower".
