Edit: I'll be rewriting the story so stay tuned for that! I took care of many patients but, in the end, they were all the same. They just laid there... lifelessly. It was hard to believe that all these people had lives and families but were now laying in a hospital bed, completely forgotten. It was true that some of them got visitors from time to time but it's not like it made anything better. It was so depressing seeing families starring down at their loved ones with sorrowed-filled eyes. I didn't understand why the patient's families bothered keeping them on life support. Were they just holding onto that last shred of hope that they would awaken? It seemed almost cruel to keep them alive. They were practically dead anyway... "Just let them die." The thought seemed almost humorous now. Everything I believed changed the moment they brought in the new patient. He was put into room 201; the room where I was going to go insane.
