Temperance has always known she's different. She has been sent away from twenty-seven foster families in the last seventeen years, but who could blame them. If a virtual stranger rejuvenates a dead plant to its former glory right in front of your eyes you would want her as far away from you as possible. So Temperance is quite shocked to realise that her twenty-eighth foster family, the Michaelsons, chose her for exactly that reason. They are called Collectors because they accumulate 'special' children like Temperance to gain power and high social standing within the walls of Puissance Academy. Puissance Academy is divided in six different academies numbered from A to F specifically for people like Temperance.Temperance is shocked to find out that there are more people like her and even more so when she finds out that students are divided into the Academy's different academies according to the strength of the power they possess. Always being the odd one out she is sent to F Academy where the students powers are worthless and laughable, but for the first time in seventeen years she finally feels at home and is content. And then she just had to be chosen for the inter-academy power tournament. A tournament where different students are chosen to compete for the honour of being called Puissant, and where students lose their lives every year (but hey, the tournament has some cute guys so that's something).
