His voice was soft, but you knew better. God, you knew better. "I'm keeping you safe..." he murmured. "You make me feel ... like I'm getting better." "You'll be safe if you just stay with me..." Authors note: Chapters are written in long format, meaning this is going to read far more as a book. I update as much as I have time for, but in saying this, lots of editing and re-writing occurs and takes time. I take care in this story as it means a lot to me as a passion project and want it to be something I can be proud of. A young girl in school, no more than 20 years of age. Graduated early, free scholarships to a school that would allow her to partaken in the investigative forces of her town as a series of new mass murders had place. Smaller, younger, and less experienced than her peers, yet Y/N was any of the older, stronger men who worked with her on the force. A notebook and pen connected to her mind created potential to discover clues that no one else would have even thought to look for, aiding the force in coming to swifter conclusions in every single case she was ever involved in. Working with her older half brother directly under the Chief, Y/N and Mateo together came to learn about a new killing of a family of five. Although there appeared to be nothing to find or clue on for, somehow, Y/N prevailed. A white chipping of plastic from an unknown source was near the hand of the dead father. On it, was blood. Blood that a DNA test would later prove to belong to someone else other than the dead family. And those killers did not like that she discovered the clue. And she knew it would tick them off. As she looked out the window of the house, she couldn't help but smile at their dismay- knowing that they'd soon come after her.

MC investigates their best friend's disappearance and travels into a forest miles away from their hometown to search. Things in the forest start looking funky as the world around their shifts planes. They encounter a murderer in the woods and is taken to a residence known as the Slender Mansion where their stay takes a dark turn. The owner, a demon known as slenderman wants to use MC as a vessel for their demon lord, Zalgo. But to convince them to go along with his demonic plans, the residents at the mansion pursue them to ensure their compliance.
