The world is coming to an end. The population is dying. There's too much pollution. Not enough clean water. Government officials immediately decide Mars is the best option - there are already small colonies humans can go to. But then they receive word from an alien. Yes. An alien. The sun will implode. In one month. Destroying all around it. The entire solar system. But, the alien also has good news: their species, Ron'klieks, have discovered a planet suitable for humans. There's one slight problem... It's seventy thousand light-years away. Oh, did the Ron'kliek forget to mention something? They have super-advanced technology that can get them to the planet, called X-2Charnet in a matter of days. For a price. "I will transport your humans to X-2Charnet. Four adults, four children, two infants. The rest will be prisoners to all Ron'klieks until a worthy payment has been given to us." How can these ten humans survive this tragedy? And the others, kept in captivity?

An original short story.

Exodus Summers has never been the prettiest, most popular person. She's constantly bullied and thrown under the bus, left behind by her peers. She receives threatening letters, which she ignores, on a daily basis. When the letters start getting more personal, she begins to pay more attention. A sudden string of freak accidents begin to surround her, starting with the people who had been her constant tormentors and she becomes the main suspect. One accident ends in a murder, and the slow downward spiral leads to a full on implosion.

Rave thought her life sucked. She had a dumb dog and ninety-nine problems. But when her life starts exploding into insanity around her, she realizes that she must fight insanity, her love life, and the leader of a group of crazies aka her mom. But that's all in a day's work. Rave's real problem is figuring out what she's going to DO with her love life and who she's going to choose. The bad boy? Or the sweet older guy aka bad boy's twenty-something brother?
