These are the most basic forty Hadees of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) Chehl means 40. These Hadeeth is translated into Urdu for the people who don't understand Arabic. Probably every Muslim should know these simple Hadees.

Notes of Tafseer Sûrah An-Noor

Self beating and mourning are not allowed in Islam. "He is not one of us who strikes his cheeks, or tears his garment, or speaks the words of jahiliyyah." Note: 347. (Bukhari and Muslim) Do not put any reference before anyone of Shi'a books. Books that promotes acts which opposes verse of Qur'an. Understand Qur'an, words of Allah. Qur'an does not allow self inflicting harm! Saying, "mourning and self beating are a privilege" is foolishness. Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam never allowed such jahilliya acts. So who are you to compromise with the shari'a because you are sorrowful?" Stop spreading foolish acts of other beliefs. If you are wise you must understand Islam, Qur'an, hadeeth does not allow it. . . . In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious and The Most Merciful. Alhamdulillah going to make effort to dedicate a whole book to put forward proofs to clarify that Islam doesn't allow self-inflicting harm. ................ started : FEB 2021 status : on - going
