A Study in Scarlet is a 1887 detective novel by British author Arthur Conan Doyle. Written in 1886, the story marks the first appearance of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, who would become two of the most famous characters in popular fiction. The book's title derives from a speech given by Holmes, an amateur detective, to his friend and chronicler Watson on the nature of his work, in which he describes the story's murder investigation as his "study in scarlet": "There's the scarlet thread of murder running through the colourless skein of life, and our duty is to unravel it, and isolate it, and expose every inch of it." Yep, another one. I know there are lots of fanfictions about Sherlock and John, but they are just so cute and it's just never enough of them (at least in my opinion). So, if you like BBC Sherlock, then check it out if you're bored, it would really help me a lot!❤️ !I do not own the characters, they belong to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and the BBC! And english isn't my native language, so I'm really sorry if there will be any mistakes - which probably will. I hope you'll enjoy!🙃 - A STUDY IN SCARLET by Arthur Conan Doyle Complete

From BBC to the writings of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, I present to you the quotes and nonsense from Sherlock Holmes and the gang! I just got an idea while I was thinking about the show and if I would still be alive to see Season 4. I did not get the idea from anywhere else nor have I stole it from anyone on Wattpad as I have not bothered to check if anyone else did this, which I'm pretty sure people have already. I do not own BBC or Sherlock, credit to them and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. - Sherlock Holmes: A Study In Scarlet by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (On-Going) Ongoing

(Not mine.) Book 1 of Sherlock Holmes A Study in Scarlet Written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Synopsis Dr John H. Watson meets the great detective Sherlock Holmes and together they solve a case of murder, in which Watson is amazed at Holmes' "science of deduction". The novel is split into two quite separate halves. The first is titled "Being a Reprint from the Reminiscences of John Watson, M.D., Late of the Army Medical Department". This part is told in first person by Sherlock Holmes' friend Dr Watson, and describes his introduction in 1881 to Holmes through a mutual friend and the first mystery in which he followed Holmes' investigations. The mystery revolves around a corpse found at a derelict house in Brixton, London with the word "RACHE" scrawled in blood on the wall beside the body.
