I had a love of the printed word for as long as I could remember.  My father encouraged this and taught me to read before I began school.  He would take me to the local library every week.  He got me hooked on Star Trek and Star Wars.  This spurred the lust for everything Science Fiction.  Every time a movie or a book would come out I insisted that he let me see or read it.
When I was of working age I began working to go to college because my father could not afford to send me there on his Navy retirement.  This is when I began having disabling medical issues.  This didn't hamper my desire to write.  After about six years of struggle I let Veiled Stars out in the world.  It is available on Amazon Kindle.
