After hours upon hours the two girls where finally freed from the elevator. Since they missed most of there classes that day due to the incident they decided to go on a small sweet and simple date. Getting icecream and walking along the beach.

"I have a question I can't hold back from." Camila suddenly spoke grabbing the other girls attention.

"Shoot it." Lauren smiled.

"Can you see us in the future? Like married and all." Camila asked.

"Hell yeah. I can see us married with two or three little camila and Lauren's running around. I can definitely see that." Lauren smiled.

"Do you ever think about what our life would have been if I didn't miscarry?" Camila questioned looking at her girlfriend.

"Yeah. All the time. What's with the questions?" Lauren wondered searching Camila's face for expression.

"I don't know. I know we're only 18 and 19 but I really want to be engaged. I know with our on and off relationship we've really only been together for a year or so. But I think when you love someone so much that the amount of time you've been together doesn't matter to you it's only right for engagement. And even then we can be engaged for a few years until college is up. Don't think I'm trying to pressure you into tying the knot. Because I'm not...it's just something that's been on my mind ever since we got back into this." Camila shrugged looking at Lauren. The taller girl cupped her face and kissed her passionately.

"Marrying you had been on my mind also but I don't think I'm exactly ready or even have the courage to get down and propose right now. Like not right now like here but I mean in this month I mean. I'm hella ready for it but I'm not ready to really commit to it." Lauren explained.

"And I understand that completely. Again I'm not pressuring you. It's just a thought." Camila smiled softly looking at Lauren.

"Ok. You obviously know I love you. It will come when the time is right." Lauren added. She kissed the top of Camila's forehead. They continued to walk and talk about countless things just like the old times.

---
After there little talk. Lauren's mind had been filled with thoughts of that conversation. It's not like she was upset about it but more like she was afraid. She was afraid of the future. This conversation had come so earlier in their college careers. Lauren hasn't even started playing soccer yet.

Sitting in the weight room was Lauren contemplating on how to get the thought off her mind.

"Hey. Get your head out your ass." Heather joked hitting Lauren with a towel.

"Sorry there's been too much on my mind lately. Camila mentioned engagement yesterday and it's just been on my mind for a few days now." Lauren sighed.

"Woah. That's a big step isn't it?" Heather asked picking up a dumbbell from the rack.

"Yeah it is but I'm all for it just not now. She told me she wasn't forcing me but in the back of my mind I know she'd like to be engaged soon." Lauren sighed.

"Then just go ring shopping. Hint at it a bit. Buy her the dream ring. By time you figure out exactly what she wants. Finals should be here. You'll be headed home for winter break. Propose when you're back home. That's a good amount of months for everything." Heather shrugged looking at her friend.

"I mean I guess." Lauren agreed. And that's exactly what she did. She followed by the book. Dropping hints was the first thing.
---
"Hey cutie." Lauren smiled sitting down at the table with Camila and Ally. "Hey ally cat." Lauren smiled again.

"You're giddy with joy. What's up?" Camila asked smiling at her.

"I was just outside and saw this rock. It was a beautiful rock. A big rock. You know speaking of rocks. Ally if Troy got down on his knee what size would you expect?" Lauren asked noticed Camila's face lite up.

"A medium cut I guess." Ally shrugged.

"Ew. I'd want something big and flashy something to make people look you know." Camila added shrugging.

"Ally medium cut is perfect." Lauren smiled. She noticed Camila's face drop but the glare was cold. "Oh did you say something babe?" Lauren asked.

"Nope. Nothing. Nothing at all." Camila sighed.

"Oh ok." Lauren smiled before kissing her cheek and leaving the table.

"That was random." Ally countered.

"I know." Camila agreed.
---
Camila and Lauren laid together in her bed and decided to Skype Dinah. Lauren had text dinah and talked to her about bringing up wedding and engagement rings in the conversation some how. Wanting to get both the perfect wedding ring and engagement ring. Dinah greeted then and the three fell into a normal conversation. Talking about school and soccer and relationships. Dinah had the perfect script for this situation.

"So me and Nelah are talking about engagement. He's getting me a gold engagement ring." Dinah smiled knowing Camila would counter against his choice.

"Gold? Seriously. White gold or even silver is more acceptable. Lauren if you even proposed to me with a gold engagement ring Id be so mad. It's not traditional! White gold. White gold is so much more pretty. Silver can get dull but white gold is beautiful!" Camila argued.

"White gold. I'll remember that. Geez. How do you know I don't already have a gold ring." Lauren shrugged.

"Wait what?" Camila asked.

"So Dinah, who are the captains this year?" Lauren smirked at Camila before winking and looking back at the screen.
---
"So you're getting two different rings? Are you buying them today?" Heather asked as they walking into Jared Jewelers.

"I'm buying the engagement ring. The wedding ring will come when ready." Lauren shrugged.

"Hello ladies what can I get for you?" A young guy walked up to us.

"I'm looking for engagement rings." Lauren smiled. He raised his eye brows and looked between the two girls. "No no not for me and her for my girlfriend. She doesn't know I'm here."

"Oh well I think that's beautiful. So let me show you to them. What's she into?" He asked standing behind a case.

"White gold and flashy." Lauren said softly.

"I got the perfect one." He pulled out a white gold band with diamonds going down the sides and a square rock cut.

"This was easier than I thought. How much is it?" Lauren asked.

"Uh...1500." He said looking at the price.

"I'll take it." Lauren smiled.

"That was fast." Heather smiled.

"Well I know what she wants so yeah." Lauren shrugged. She paid for the ring and they boxed it up for her.

"Thanks for coming buddy." Lauren smiled nudging her side.

"You're welcome loser." Heather replied smiling.
---
Lauren knocked rather loud on Ally's door. After a good three minutes the door opened.

"Is Camila in here?" Lauren asked softly.

"No. Why?" Ally questioned confused.

"Ok...." Lauren pushed past her and watched as Ally closed the door. "Can you keep this with you?"

Lauren pulled the small black velvet box from her jacket pocket and Ally gasped.

"Lauren! You're Propo-" Lauren covered her mouth because she was practically screaming. The walls seemed paper thin and even though Camila was a little ways down the hall she'd probably hear her.

"Yes! Can you just hold onto it?" Lauren whisper yelled.

"Yeah I can give it to me!" Ally took the box from her hold and opened it looking at the ring.

"Holy shit. That's nice!" Ally complimented.

"Thanks. I have to go now. Please keep that as far away from Camila as possible thanks love you." Lauren kissed her cheek and ran out the room.
---
Lauren worked hard at practice considering she was tired of sitting the bench at games. When they scrimmaged she treated it like a real game. She's rush past Joanna almost every time stepping on her foot with her cleat. Smirking every time Joanna swore under her breath at the pain. Rejoicing every time she scored. Groaning every time some did something stupid. Heather and her worked as a team during scrimmages. Lauren loved it. Practice ended and Lauren made her way to the locker room. She walked up to her locker and noticed a new jersey hanging on it.

"What?" She mumbled to herself. She used to wear a no numbered jersey considering she was just bench warming. She took it down and noticed her name in bold white letters.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "JAUREGUI"
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ 27
She smiled to herself and looked up at the calling of her name.

"Lauren. Coach wants to talk to you." Heather smiled patting her on the back.

"Ok."

She walked into the office and noticed the middle aged woman sitting at her desk.

"Hey Coach." Lauren said smiling she sat down in one of the chairs.

"Lauren. You've made me proud. In practices. Encouraging at games. Know what you've got. Knowing what to do. Id like you to start the last couple games along with Heather in your regular spots that our seniors will be leaving behind for you two. Make me proud ok?" She smiled looking at the young soccer star.

"Really? Oh my God. This is the best news I've ever gotten. Thank you!" Lauren smiled. She left the office and waisted no time grabbing her things and making her way to her dorm.
---
The small group of girls decided to throw a little get together for the good news of both Lauren and Heather. Sitting in Lauren's room Ally was making cookies. Lauren's favorites to be exact. Lauren joined Ally in the small kitchenette she had and dipped her finger in the whipped cream.

"Stop!" Ally said swatting her hand as she went for another finger full.

"Ugh. What the hell do you need it for?" Lauren asked confused.

"I'm putting icing on these. Bye. Run off." Ally said playfully.

"Ok..." Lauren said. She started walking away but quickly dipped her finger in it again and scurried off before ally could do anything. She sat on the floor and Camila sat in her lap.

"You guys are the cutest." Heather smiled.

"Thanks." Camila smiled. She felt something on her ear lobe.

"Oops." Lauren said looking at the whipped cream. "Don't move." Instead of wiping it off she wrapped her lips around the delicate area and cleaned up. She felt Camila moan.

"What was that?" Heather asked looking up from her phone.

"Nothing." Camila said her cheeks flushed. Lauren was smirking. Lauren instantly regretted teasing her girlfriend when she felt her shift slowly in her lap. Lauren let a small groan out. And watched Heathers eyes bolt back at them.

"Get a room you two." Heather joked.

"I would but you guys are here so." Lauren shrugged wrapping her arms around Camila's waist.

"Lauren..." Camila warned looking back at her.

"Sorry."

Ally joined the two when a knock sounded at Lauren's door.

"Who could that be?" Lauren asked confused.

"Lauren open the damn door!" Dinah's voice sounded.

"Dinah!" Lauren yelled pushing Camila off her lap and opened the door being greeted by Dinah and Normani.

"What are you guys doing here?!" Lauren asked.

"We got the news and we decided why not take off a few days to see your first game playing." Normani smiled.

"I forgot how much I missed you guys. Oh my god thanks for coming! This is going to be the best." Lauren smiled.

"DINAH!" Camila yelled jumping onto the girl.

"Wish I got greetings like that...." Lauren joked throwing her arm around Normani.

"You do get greetings like that. Especially kissing greetings. Me and Masi broke up." Normani said looking down.

"Why?" Dinah questioned.

"College. I'm ok with it though. He turned into an egotistical jerk. He got football scholarships to both OSU and Michigan." Normani shrugged. "No offense Dinah."

"Oh it's ok. I total understand. Cockiness runs in my family." Dinah shrugged.

"Enough talk about broken relationships or whatever. ALLY made cookies!!!" Lauren smiled.

"Let's eat!" Dinah yelled!
