"Soojung?"
Soojung's eyes fluttered open at the sound of her name to see Jeno lying there, staring back at her. She instantly got out of Jaemin's bed to meet Jeno, taking his side.
"You're awake." Soojung said as she sat down in the chair.
"Yup. And gosh, these bullet wounds hurt." Jeno groaned.
Soojung smiled as she gently pet his head. "Don't move, it'll only hurt even more."
"But I want to make room for you."
Soojung froze. "Me?"
Jeno nodded. "I can't have you sleeping in Jaemin's bed when you can be by my side instead."
Soojung wasn't sure what to do but seeing Jeno determined to move over was enough to convince her to help him before sliding under the covers beside him.
As Soojung stared at Jeno's features, Jeno brought hand up, lightly brushing his fingers against her face. "I thought I lost you."
"You almost did." Soojung told him. "Lucky for you, you got shot so I had to come back and save you."
Jeno laughed before his face twisted in pain from his injury and Soojung regretted her words. "Sorry."
"No, I kind of deserved that, didn't I?" Jeno asked.
"Well, I talked to Taeil." Soojung told him. "So I have a question for you."
"Shoot." Jeno said as Soojung turned to her side to face him.
"Is it true that you use girls as an excuse to get some alone time?" Soojung asked.
She watched as Jeno's eyes widened. "Did the boys find out?"
"No, just Ayeon and I." Soojung answered. "But is it true?"
Jeno nodded his head. "Yeah, it is. I learned it from Taeyong but I guess you already knew that."
"So the girl at the club..."
"Meant nothing to me." Jeno said and Soojung felt him take her hand in his. "You, on the other hand, mean everything."
Soojung felt sparks fly from Jeno's touch, and it took everything in her to stop herself from wrapping her arms around her. She still had so many questions for him.
"You changed your hair." Jeno said softly. Soojung nodded.
"Yeah, I dyed it with Ayeon. Do you like it?" Soojung asked.
"I do. I love it. Almost as much as I love you."
Soojung wasn't sure if I heard that right but apparently she did as Jeno continued talking.
"I know, you weren't expecting that, were you? The Lee Jeno that denied love with his entire body just confessed his love to you. Well, what can I say, Im Soojung? I guess you convinced me that it really does exist." Jeno said, tugging her closer to him.
"I'll admit, I did question it, especially when Jaemin suggested that I only felt this way for you because you had the same hair as Seolhee but as soon as I saw you with your new hair colour, it became so obvious that you were nothing like her yet I still felt the same way about you."
"And quite honestly, as much as a nice girl Seolhee was and as much as I did love her, I don't think we would have worked out in the end." Jeno said, surprising her.
"Really?" Jeno nodded.
"Yeah, first of all, she liked puppies more than kittens. We had that fight a lot." Jeno said, making the her giggle.
"But kittens are so cute." Soojung pointed out.
"Exactly." Jeno said, smiling before continuing.
"Also, Seolhee was nice, but she liked to act before thinking, kind of like Ayeon. She didn't really have a filter and didn't really think before talking. She was someone that saw people for what they were on the surface. To her, I was just this cool bad boy who needed some love. I was like this new adventure to her, and I think once she realized who I really was, she would have left." Jeno continued.
"You really think so?" Soojung asked.
"I know so." Jeno said, cupping her face in his hand. "Because you are so different from her. And I know that you're the one for me."
"You're not like Seolhee at all. You're calm and collected in all situations and you always take care of the people around you. You think before you act, and you take the time to learn about the person before judging. I'm not stupid, Soojung, I know I'm closed off. But with you, I let myself be vulnerable because I knew that you saw me for more than who I was on the outside."
"You didn't tell me I was dumb for not believing in love but instead, took the time to learn why I felt that way. That means a lot to me, and soon, I found myself breaking all the rules I had ever made because of you. Because I fell for you. Because I love you."
Soojung felt tears pooling in her eyes and they weren't tears. They were happy tears.
Joy filled her body as she stared at Jeno, the male clearly concerned.
"Wait, I just confessed my love for you, why are you crying?" Jeno asked, wiping her tears with his thumbs.
"Because I'm happy." Soojung told him. "I'm so happy Jeno."
Soojung embraced the male, burying her head in shoulder, mindful of his wound. She felt Jeno wrap his arms around her waist, his hands seeping under the sweater to rub her back.
"I'm so happy, I could kiss you right now." Soojung mumbled into Jeno. She felt his body vibrate as he laughed.
"Why don't you?"
Soojung didn't even hesitate to place her lips on Jeno's as he held her, the two of them showing each other their love through the kiss.
Jeno ran his tongue along the bottom of her lip and Soojung opened her mouth to give him access, soft moans coming out of her mouth as a result.
When she broke away from him, out of breath from how deep and passionate the kiss was, she saw how dark with intent Jeno's eyes were, the male giving her waist a squeeze.
"Didn't know you had that in you." Jeno said, making Soojung bury her face in his chest in embarrassment.
"I didn't either." Soojung muttered, feeling her cheeks heat up.
Soojung heard the door open and turned to see Renjun there with his hand over his eyes. "Are you decent or should I leave?"
Soojung giggled as she saw Jeno roll his eyes, clearly annoyed.
"Open your eyes you idiot. Who do you think we are?" Jeno told his friend.
Renjun removed his hand and let out a sigh of relief. "Just making sure because you know Haechan and Ayeon."
"Can you help me?" Jeno asked and Soojung nodded, helping Jeno sit up as Renjun widened the door, revealing another male behind her.
Soojung had never seen him before, his hair dark red and a scratch in his eyebrow. He had piercings on his ears and his eyes were lined with dark eyeliner.
"Hyung?" Jeno exclaimed.
Is this Jeno's brother?
"This is Taeyong-hyung." Renjun said, introducing the male. So it is Jeno's brother.
"Thanks, Renjun." Taeyong said, giving the male a nod.
"Now if you two are up for it, then we have a lot to talk about."
