BACKGROUND
KMS Erika der Rotekönigin, it was the name of a prototype ship created by Germany in May 1934 and finished in December 1938. The Erika was supposed to be the biggest Battleship to ever roam the sea, she was created to be a moving fortress on the sea, always showing itself in full glory to intimidate the enemy's. She was also the model that was used to create the Bismarck class battleship, even though she was bigger and more powerful, she cost a lot to create, so the German government chose to make smaller version of her design. Later on when the H-class project was proposed, her design was used once more however they still couldn't make them the same size as the Erika because of the lack of materials and time, thus making the Erika the biggest battleship to ever roam the sea as the red queen because her hull was completely painted red.
Not many knew of Erika existence, only high ranking officials and the workers who worked on her, the only other exceptions was the ones that sunked her. You see when the Erika was finally sent on her first mission in 1939, she was sent to prepare for the upcoming war while trying to keep her existence a secret. When World War 2 broke out, The Erika was used for intimidation and elimination of enemy ships. During her time on the sea, she sunk 58 ships under the same commander.
On March 1941, a tasked force was dispatched to get rid of the Erika and her combat group, they where pursued through the sea until mid day of the 13th of April 1941 where she was sunk in battle by HMS King George V, HMS Belfast, HMS Warspite, HMS Amazon , HMS Drake, HMS Fortune, HMS Victorious and HMS Formidable. However most of them were damaged in the battle and Erika continued to fire until the last shell.
Even now the ship is still hidden in the depths of the sea waiting for its time to sail once more.
