Jeno was contemplating to call Jaemin or not.
It was 11 in the evening, for godsakes! And it's windy and cold and is about to rain.
Jeno keeps pacing back and forth in his room. Lucas and the court ladies are tired and sleepy already; it isn't easy to wake up at 4 and work the whole day.
They only get breaks when the royals are eating, resting, or getting ordered to relax and earn their Good night's sleep when the royals sleep.
"Your highness?" Lucas uttered
Jeno looked at Lucas, and he was shocked for them to see him still there.
"Lucas? Why are you still here?" Jeno asked
"You haven't rested, sir yet; most of the royals are already sleeping; you're the only one who hasn't slept yet," Lucas said, yawing.
Jeno pitied Lucas and the court ladies who were waiting outside.
"You may all go rest now," Jeno said
Lucas bowed and went outside.
A whisper of cheers and claps was heard outside the room
Jeno chuckled
Out of the all royals who reside within the palace, Jeno is the only person who dismisses staff early except for Lucas.
Maybe that's one of the reasons why the staff would like to work with Jeno
It isn't usual that Jeno lets Lucas and the court ladies wait this long
Jeno sat down at one of the chairs and stared at his phone with Jaemin's phone number.
"Ahh hell! This is my chance."
Jeno dialed Jaemin
At first, no one would answer.
That made Jeno worried.
"Come on, Jaemin, please answer me."
Jeno called for the second try, within 5 rings, Jaemin answered.
Sobs and shaky voices answered.
"Jeno? *hic*" Jaemin whispered
"Jaemin? Where are you right now?"
"Don't *hic* bother Jeno; I'm fine."
A strong gust of wind blew over Jeno's roof.
"No! I'm your boyfriend, and I deserve to know!" Jeno raised his voice
"Jeno, just please," Jaemin whispered.
"That's it, Jaemin! Where are you right now? I'm coming," Jeno said while walking towards the door.
"Jeno, I'm fine."
"Don't be stubborn, Jaemin!" Jeno shouted, which turned on some of the lights in the royal chambers, confused about what was happening. Some court ladies who didn't sleep yet, Jeno's court ladies, witnessed the whole scene.
Jeno shouting at the phone
"Jaemin, if you don't tell me where are you right now, I will track you down, and I swear you wouldn't like it," Jeno warned
A sigh escaped from the line.
"I'm at the front gate outside of the Lee Clan's gate Compound."
"Okay, I'm heading there right now."
"Before Jaemin could even reply, Jeno dropped the call."
Jeno ran outside the royal chambers but stopped by his mother, who was awoken from Jeno's shout.
"Jeno, what is going on? And why are you shouting?" Taeyong asked
"Mother, I need to go out of the palace; Jaemin needs me."
"What? What?! What's going on?" Taeyong asked with confusion and panic filling his face
"I'll tell you later; I need to go now."
"Jeno! Bring some Security!" Taeyong shouted
"No need!" Jeno shouted back
Jeno bid his goodbye and ran towards the royal garage where the royal family's cars were present.
"Stupid boy! Where is secretary Kim?"
"Secretary Kim!" Taeyong shouted
Instead of secretary Kim, Lucas got out of his room since he had just finished his shower and was about to sleep.
Lucas ran towards Taeyong and bowed.
"Yes, your Highness?"
"Lucas went out to go to Jaemin, something's not right with Jaemin, send security with him he's alone."
"Yes, your highness," Lucas said and ran towards the nearest guard.
Moments later Jaehyun, Mark came to the hallway where Taeyong was standing.
"Taeyong, what is going on?" Jaehyun yawned
"There is something not right with Jaemin," Taeyong replied
"Huh? What happened?" Mark replied while yawning, now fully awake
Donghyuck was supposed to go down, but Mark stopped him, saying nothing, and just told him to go to sleep.
"Jeno didn't give me any details; I hope he's fine" Taeyong was worried.
Even though Taeyong hated a small portion of Jaemin's guts, he still cared for the latter since he would be family soon after all.
"By the way, where is Sungchan Mark? He should've awoken up by Jeno's shout since they are beside each other," Taeyong asked.
"How should I know? I was busy calming down a fuming pregnant person," Mark said
Taeyong widened his eyes and looked at Jaehyun, and in response, Jaehyun also widened his eyes.
The both of them ran towards Sungchan's chamber just beside Jeno's chamber. Mark, confused about what's going on, just followed his parents.
At this point, half of the palace is awake and confused about what's going on.
Security running around like hell, grabbing cars and following Jeno. The court ladies half awaken and confused, and other servants are confused about what's happening. Still, they all know what will happen after this. A vast commotion is about to erupt at the palace.
"Sungchan!" Jaehyun raised his voice
No response was heard.
"Sungchan!" Taeyong shouted
At this point, Sungchan's court ladies and assistants came to the King and Queen. Half asleep and confused about what was going on. Taeyong clicked his tongue and opened the door to Sungchan's chamber.
Jaehyun, Taeyong, and Mark entered and went to Sungchan's bed
After reaching the bed, there was no person to be seen; Taeyong snickered that Sungchan had escaped again.
"Find Sungchan now! You know the drill already," Taeyong shouted.
"Yes, your highness," the court lady that served Sungchan said
The palace is on high alert.
Sungchan is missing,
Jeno doesn't have any security with him.
The palace is on the brink of chaos.
Actually, it is in chaos.
Taeyong sat down while Jaehyun massaged his temples.
Mark looked outside the windows and could see Security running around and court ladies and servants.
"Wait? What's going on? Why are we on high alert?" Mark asked
"Can't you see that Sungchan is missing?" Taeyong deadpanned Mark
"Yes, I know Sungchan is missing, but what's with the high alert?" Mark asked
"We are facing a worst-case scenario Mark," Jaehyun said
"A huge mess is about to happen if Sungchan isn't found," Taeyong added
"Court lady Min!" Jaehyun called her
"Yes, your highness" She went inside.
"Don't let the media know this; keep everything on the dark," Jaehyun commanded
"Yes, your highness," Court Lady Min replied

Jeno was driving towards the Lee Compound where Jaemin was situated. He was just wearing his pajamas that Jaemin bought for him during a buy one take one sale.
He didn't care about the speed limits or the street lights. All he cared about was Jaemin.
And that's also the reason why there is a cop car behind him.
"Owner of the Black BMW, Please slow down your vehicle," the man in the Police car said
Jeno didn't care; he just drove towards the Lee compound. He was just a few minutes away from the gate, and raindrops started to fall down.
One by one on the windshield
Then an intense downpour happened.
This made only Jeno drive faster.
Jaemin was just sitting down on the pavement outside the gate in the Lee Compound Jaemin didn't want to be picked up by his aunt because she was pregnant, and it's quite a long way from here to the place where he sleeps.
And there wasn't a taxi that drove through here. It rarely happens
So Jaemin was just sitting down at the pavement just beside the gate
The guards took pity on Jaemin and tried to help, but he refused and said that his aunt would come
Until now, his aunt didn't come, and that Jaemin didn't call her.
He also didn't respond to her aunt's calls.
Then suddenly raindrops started to touch his head,
Then his face,
Then his whole body is soaked in the rain.
He still didn't stop crying because of the immense pain during the confrontation with his mother. It was hours ago since that happened.
But it still hurts that Jaemin did everything just to be the best son for his mother, and there she was didn't tell her that she was going to marry someone.
It was a massive betrayal for Jaemin.
He felt like her mother was cheating against his already deceased father.
Jaemin just cried and curled himself.
Moments later, from the left side of the road, some black cars arrived
About three black Audi sedans and three Genesis SUV's
Jaemin didn't mind it at first until there was a car from his right side stopped
It was a Black BMW 750li, the same car that Mark and Donghyuck are being chauffeured.
The person opened his door and ran towards Jaemin
Jaemin felt a hug
It was a warm, comforting hug, and the bergamot, tangerine, and a warm apple scent filled Jaemin's nose that he genuinely misses
"Jeno," Jaemin whispered
"Shh Jaemin, I'm here," Jeno replied, hugging
Both of them were already soaking wet.
The cop car that was on the tail for Jeno for a couple of minutes stopped at the back of Jeno's car.
"Excuse me, sir, please put your hands up."
Seeing this, the royal guards and Lucas went out of their cars, bringing Umbrellas with them.
"Sir, I need you to rai-"
"We will take this from here."
"How might you be, huh?"
Lucas presented his tag.
"We are from the Royal Security Divison; failure to comply with our commands will result in an immediate suspension," Lucas replied
The cop shivered in fear; the cop walked two steps and bowed.
"Things are already under control; you may leave now."
"But sir, he went over the speed limit and broke the traffic light rules," the cop said
"As what I've said, everything is under control. Everything you have seen here must be kept in secret if you don't follow the rule, you will violate the oath of royal secrecy that you have taken swore as a cop," Lucas replied
"Yes, sir" The cop couldn't do anything, or his job of being a cop would be his last
He went back to the car and left.
After seeing this, Lucas sighed and opened another umbrella; he went near to Jeno to hear Jaemin's sobs and Jeno's words comforting him.
"It's going to be alright, Jaemin, I'm here; be quiet now, don't cry," Jeno whispered on Jaemin's ears.
This continued for 5 minutes until Jeno heard Jaemin's light snores.
"Bring me a towel," Jeno mouthed at Lucas.
Lucas signaled one of the guards to give him a towel. The guards gave Jeno two huge towels.
Jeno wrapped both of the towels around Jaemin.
"Let's go home now," Jeno said
"Yes, your highness."
Lucas nodded at the guards and Helped Jeno cover from the rain while he was carrying Jaemin. He brought him back to the back seat, where he placed Jaemin at the back.
One of the guards got into the driver seat and acted as the driver
Jeno rode at the back seat while Lucas rode at the front seat
They left at the Lee Compound swiftly, and the royal guards followed moments later
"Your highness, please be informed that we will be using the back gate for safety reasons as the palace is now placed at a high alert status," Lucas said
"Why? What's happening?" Jeno replied while hugging Jaemin since he was cold and giving Jaemin warmth
"The Third Prince Sungchan is missing," Lucas said
"Missing? How?!" shocked by the sudden revelation
"We don't know, sir, but as of now, Mark is going to Sungchan's location," Lucas replied
"Are you sure Sungchan is here?" Jeno asked
"Yes, sir, we are sure. Sungchan didn't notice, but all of his clothes have a small circular film that acts as a tracker so we can track him anywhere in the world," Lucas replied
"Seems like your tracking capabilities have improved by tenfold" Jeno smiled.
"Yes, sir, it's quite a long time since we had that film on Sungchan, I think for 5 years now?" Lucas said
Jeno just sighed and looked at Jaemin
. He looked back at Lucas and said
"Lucas, we need to hurry up and please prepare the doctor when we get home."

Mark and other royal security guards are pursuing a particular bar where Sungchan is staying right now.
"So my parents told me you know guys what to do?"
"Yes, sir," the female guard said
When they arrived at the bar, out of the three cars, only one car went in front of the bar while the other two where Mark was in were at the bar's back door waiting.
Two ladies got out from the Audi SUV. Men look at them with hungry eyes, while women look at them with repugnance.
both of them just walked in front of the bouncer
"Sorry, ma'am, but there is a waiting line here."
One of the ladies laughed. She grabbed her purse and opened his wallet
He gestured the bouncer to come closer
The bouncer came closer and saw the sign of the Royal Family Security Divison.
The bouncer looked at them with wide eyes and composed himself, then let them in
The other people were annoyed and angry because of that
"What was that for?!"
"How did they enter while we were here waiting for hours!" One person said
"I'm sorry, they are VVIP's, and they have priority access," the bouncer said
The two ladies went inside and already went to work.
One lady went towards the bar to buy two drinks while the other informed the management about the situation.
The bar was loud and obnoxious.
The smell of sweating bodies dancing on the dance floor and fumes from cigarettes is present everywhere. The disguised female guard saw Sungchan already at the bar sitting bar drinking.
"Makes the job easier," the lady said to herself.
The lady went beside Sungchan with a smirk and sat down beside Sungchan.
"Hey, handsome!" The lady said
Sungchan looked at the lady and licked his lips.
"Hey, beautiful," Sungchan smirked.
"Two martinis please, my treat," The lady said as she passed the money to the bartender. On top of the money is the liquid that makes a person drowsy and sleeps within 5 minutes.
It was covered to avoid Sunchan knowing what was going on.
The bartender was confused about what was with the contents of the vial. Still, there were no questions asked when he saw the sign of the Royal Security Logo at the watch while the lady was slowly moving the money to the bartender's arm.
Sungchan laughed
"That's uncommon a lady pays for the drinks," Sungchan said
"Are you looking down at women? Mr.?" The lady smirked
"Sungchan, please call me Sungchan" he smiled.
"So, are you looking down at me, Mr. Sungchan?"
"No, No, I'm not. It's just intriguing to me."
"Two martinis!" The bartender said
The one which was spiked at Sungchan's side
"Cheers, madam!" Sungchan said
"Cheers to you, Mr. Sungchan," The royal security guard replied
The lady and Sungchan drank the Martini
Moments later, Sunchan was dizzy; he stood up and wobbly walked everywhere.
The disguised security guard guided the prince towards the back where a car was waiting with a Mark inside. After a few moments, the back door suddenly opened with two ladies carrying the youngest prince.
The door was opened at the back where Mark was sitting down, Sungchan was carefully put into the car's back seat. Mark just looked at Sungchan with distress.
"Why did he become like this?" Mark asked
"We don't know, sir," One of the royal guards said
Mark sighed
"Never mind that, let's go now."
The car Sungchan and Mark are at started to move, headed back towards the Royal Palace.
Mark called his mother.
"We have Sungchan already; everything is under control."
"Thank go- Oh my goodness, Jeno, you're wet!" This was what Mark heard before her mother dropped the call unexpectedly
"Thank go- Oh my Godness Jeno, you wet" Taeyong stood up from the seat at the grand foyer where Jaehyun, Taeyong, and Donghyuck sat down.
And yes, the pregnant person came down because of the commotion downstairs.
"Jaemin!"
"Mom, open the door to my room!" Jeno said
Taeyong quickly opened Jeno's chamber.
Jeno placed Jaemin on a sofa.
"What are you doing? Grab towels and some fresh dry clothes for the two!" Taeyong annoyingly said towards the court ladies, they apologized and ran to get fresh clothes and towels
"Jesus Christ, Jeno! Both of you are wet! Both of you might get sick!" Taeyong exclaimed
"Oh, my Jaemin!" Donghyuck started to tear up
"Donghyuck, I think you should rest now; it's not good for the baby," Jaehyun said
"But Jaemin-"
"He'll be fine Donghyuck, what's more, important right now is you and the child's health," Jaehyun said
"Come on, let's go" Jaehyun guided Donghyuck back to his and Mark's chamber.
"Jaemin, I'm so sorry that I was late" Jeno kneeled in front of Jaemin.
Taeyong could only watch both of them. It sparked a specific memory within him and Jaehyun on which Taeyong perked a sad smile.
Moments later, the new set of fresh clothes and towels arrived and was placed on the table beside Jeno.
"Everyone, please move out of my room momentarily. I need to change Jaemin's clothes," Jeno said
"Your highness, we will do-"
"It's an order!" Jeno commanded
"Yes, your highness" the assistants started to walk towards the door
"Including you, mother," Jeno said
Taeyong managed a smile and started to walk outside.
Jeno quickly unbuttoned his shirt and his pants, and his shoes and socks
Jaemin shivered from the harsh coldness
"Don't worry, Jaemin, it will be quick," Jeno said
Jeno quickly pats Jaemin around his body to dry up the places where he was soaked, which was the whole body. After that, he removed Jaemin's undergarments.
It didn't faze Jeno that Jaemin was practically naked, but Jeno's priority was to change Jaemin's clothes. After Jaemin changed clothes, Jeno dried himself up, quickly changed his clothes, and put his and Jaemin's clothes on the table.
He carried Jaemin towards the bed and softly placed him on the right side of the bed. Jaemin found the bed very comfortable and started to adjust himself.
Jeno quickly placed his hand over Jaemin's neck and forehead.
"Thank god you didn't catch a fever," Jeno said
Jeno walked outside the door with wet towels and clothes.
"So? What happened, Jeno?" Taeyong asked
"Is the Doctor here now?"
"Your highness," the Doctor bowed out of respect.
"Do you have paracetamols"
"Yes, your highness."
"Please give me some; I'll just monitor Jaemin; please be on stand-by and tend Sungchan when he comes home."
"Yes, your highness."
"Everyone can go to rest now, Including your mother," Jeno said
"Make sure Jaemin okay, hmm" Taeyong kissed Jeno's cheek.
"Yes, mother"
Everyone walked away from Jeno's quarters to go back to sleep. Jeno entered his room with some paracetamol tablets in his hand and placed them on his bedside stand.
He slid himself in the bed, which made Jaemin turn his body towards Jeno
The rain still has a hard downpour, but it didn't stop Jeno from looking at Jaemin adoringly
"I'm sorry for lying, Jaemin, but I am just protecting us; please concede it," Jeno said as he brushed Jaemin's hair since it was on his eyes. He kissed Jaemin on the forehead and wrapped Jaemin around his arms. Jaemin immediately responded by moving closer to Jeno. The latter smiled and closed his eyes, and started to drift away to sleep.
