"Why isn't she moving?"
"You said she was fine God damnit"
"Take him out of here"
Those were the conversation I heard while I slipped in and out of consciousness.
I couldn't feel anything.
Everywhere was dark.
"Please wake up" Someone begged
That's all I heard before I once again was submerged in pure darkness, where the only thing keeping me company were my thoughts.
"It's been days doctor what is wrong?" The voice I could vaguely identify as Xavier asked.
"Days?" I think to myself.
What was he saying?.
"She has a viral blood infection and it's quite bad coupled with her pregnancy" The other voice which I guessed to be the doctor.
"Her what?" Xavier asked shocked
"Oh you didn't know?"
"Know what?" The confusion was clear in his voice
"Congratulations your wife is a few weeks pregnant" I could literally hear the smile in the doctor's voice
"I wanted to tell you" I tried saying only to realize my mouth wouldn't move
"How could she be?, We took precautions, it couldn't be mine maybe it's someone else, what if it's mine."
"You bloody idiot" I cursed Xavier mentally "Who else did I fuck" I asked him wishing badly that he could hear me.
"Anyways we cannot give her any treatment for the baby's sake also she has a little cold but that would be fine in a few days" The doctor adds.
I could feel things happen around me but I couldn't move.
"Ring the damned nurse..."
"Why is everything so loud" I groan my voice barely above a whisper and it hurt so bad to talk
"Relax dearie, here drink this" and immediately a cup was placed at the mouth and I drank greedily to my content.
A man who had a white coat on ran into the room.
"Where am i?" I grunt
"You are in the hospital right now Mrs knight but you'll be alright" the lab coat man who I later found out to be doctor Harrison said.
When my eyes finally adjusted to the brightness my eyes landed on him, Andrew, his eyes had this wicked going in it and he was smirking, He walked out once the nurses filed in.
I've been awake for a while now Wynn has been by my side after the doctor had done the check up and allowed visitors, Xavier is somewhere in the hospital he hasn't come to see me yet.
Wynn said he was having a hard time with me being pregnant.
Well hello, I'm the one with the baby in me not him.
Honestly I really can't bring myself to care.
"Why are you doing this?" Crystal asked her eyes puffy from her previous cry session
"I can't necessarily tell my immune system to do their work, can I?" I joked causing a frown to form on Astrid's face.
Almost immediately after I woke up Crytal had face timed me with the other girls joining the call, Wynn helped me to hold the phone because my body was really weak "So Adelaide and Logan huh" I say suggestively successfully shifting the attention from me.
"It's not that" She blushed causing the dimple on her cheek to be more prominent.
"They fucked that night of the gala, then they made up then come bad drama went down then they fucked and made up"
"That's not how exactly it went"
"You fucked didn't you?"
"..."
"Exactly" crystal said making the rest of us to burst into laughter
"How is the baby?" I ask Astrid, whose face immediately changed "No one told me it was going to be hard" She pouts.
"Well now you know" Rhyme said before adding "Well soon enough Sage is gonna know" and the rest of the girls giggled as they talked about how my baby is going to be literally perfect.
They don't know that Xavier hasn't exactly accepted the baby neither do they know that the chances of the baby surviving is low considering my blood infection so it's either the baby or me, they don't need to know about it yet.
"Oh dearie, how are you feeling?" Mrs knight asks as she walked into the room with a bunch of flowers in her hand.
Her smile warmed my heart but it did little to hid the stress marks on her forehead nor the sadness in her eyes
"I'm better now" I answered
"Where is your father dear" Mrs knight as Wynn who frowned in response "Still being a jerk" she mumbles
"Hush now child He is still your father" Mrs knight scolded Wynn "Right now He's not" She replied sadly before lifting herself off the sit and leaving the room
"I'm So sorry you had to see that"
"It's fine" I answered shrugging off Wynn's behavior.
Mrs knight and I spoke till it was time for her to leave, they were all flying back to the States I would be transferred to a hospital back home once I'm given the go ahead, Xavier, Andrew and Nina were staying behind.
Come to think of it I haven't even seen Nina only Andrew who gave me a really creepy smile before he disappeared for the rest of the day
The kids came to see me before they left while Xavier stood by the door not saying anything.
I was happy to see him but he never made eye contact with me which pissed me off, why was he being a little child right now.
"Hey" a heard a voice which I recognized as my sister ,Nina, say.
"Oh my goodness where have you been?, I've been worried sick" I questioned struggling to sit up, it was quite late at night and the only source of light I had in the room was the moon shining through the window.
"Yeah, I'm sorry about that." She said forcing a laugh.
Something wasn't right her voice was shaky and she seemed wobbly on her feet.
I strained my eyes in the dark to see my sister clearly, that's when I saw the huge bruise on her face making me to gasp in shock.
"Who did this?" I asked my voice was so low I actually thought she didn't hear me.
"It's nothing, but that's besides the point I heard you were pregnant congratulations"
"Nothing great about that if the father doesn't even believe me and can't stand me at the moment." I tell her crest fallen.
"Guy's suck"
"Yeah" I agreed with her "Do you want to talk about it?" I ask gesturing to her bruised face
"I fell" came her response
"And I'm Quasimodo, don't lie to me Nina who did this?" I asked even though I had a vivid image of who was responsible.
"It's no big deal actually" She said once again trying to avoid the conversation.
"It is actually, if my sister has to creep around at night just to see me with a badly injured face, it's a gigantic deal" I frowned
"I tried to run, wasn't exactly a smart idea" She chuckled bitterly a sad smile settled on my lip.
I wasn't dissappointed in myself for even falling for him in the first place, maybe it was the fuck but I feel really annoyed with myself.
"So what is the plan now?" I asked and she shrugged in response before adding "Honestly I'm at loss myself"
Just as I was about to say something my phone rang, glancing at the caller ID Eli was boldly written.
Eli was the girl who was in the hospital with me, she had a heart disease that could kill her and she was meant to under go surgery to try to fix it.
"Hey, before you say anything I'm sorry, I tried my best I swear" She said struggling to speak, my heart literally jumped into my Mouth.
"What do you mean Eli, what happened to your trip?, Are you ok?, Is something wrong?....Eli"
"You are pretty awesome for an old woman" She said I could visualize the smile on her face when she said that.
"No, no Eli don't you dare"
"I'm sorry" and that was the end of the conversation.
I tried calling again but no response.
