Erich told me to start this Friday. Why Friday, no clue.
Bri was really excited that we would be working together. And saves me time since we can drive together.
I squint my eyes as the light from my window shines in brighter than my liking. I roll over picking up my phone checking it before I get ready.
I see a text from Erich saying 'Get here before nine like we talked about, come to my office'
I throw my feet out of bed letting my body follow. I wipe the sleep off my eyes as I walk into the kitchen getting hit hard with the smell of breakfast.
"Morning cutie" Bri slides me a cup of coffee which I gladly take. At the Lazy bear I ninety nine percent of the time worked night shifts so waking up this early is different.
"Good morning, i'm going to shower then i'll be ready" I blow the steam as she nods taking a bite of toast with a bunch of things piled on top of it.
I let the warm water run down my back and on my face waking me up more.
After I do my hair and makeup, simple. Straight hair and just mascara.
I pulled on my mom jeans and a white tank with a red plaid shirt which I left open. I grabbed my purse filled with wallet, keys, gum, and I think a tiny bottle of whiskey.
"Okay ready" I call out making Bri stand up from the couch "love the fit, ready to go be your boyfriend's assistant" she pursed her lips as we walked out the door.
"Eww don't put it that way please" I pleaded.
I didn't like that I was going to be working for him. But I needed the money for collage and other thing, and this paid good money.
I made it very clear that I didn't want any special treatment from him cause I know how he is.
I just hoped he wouldn't try and fuck me every day on his desk. Cause I know if he could, he would.
"Okay so all the girls there are bitches and will judge you cause they want Erich so just ignore them and be your bad bitch self" she gave me a tiny kind of pep talk as we sat at a red light.
"I figured that much" I shrugged.
When I was there to borrow money from Bri I could feel all there eyes on me and even more when Erich decided to be dominant in front of everyone.
"Okay ready for your first day" she squealed with a smile on her face. "I guess" I sigh stepping out of the car.
"Ahh there's my girl" Erich walked around his desk as I walked in his office. "Morning handsome" I give him a kiss.
"Okay but we can't be all this while we work" i exclaim making him roll his eyes.
"We'll see" he removed his arms from around my neck sitting back down behind his desk as I sit in front.
"Okay so as my assistant you will give me my schedule for the week, arrange meetings for me, get my things I need, and anything else I need you to do" he smirked at the last part.
"Yeah sure seems simple enough" I shrug.
He reached for my hand pulling me up to follow him out the door.
"Hey everyone! This is Tori my new assistant, if anyone one of you messes with her or tries to pull any shit your fired without a second thought, got it" he yelled out.
I sighed placing my head in my hand.
"Tori you work here now!?" Matt popped up from one of the desks standing out in the crowed office building.
"Yeah, and we need to talk later" I narrow my eyes at him making him gulp and sit back down.
"Come on I'll show you to your desk" he whispered in my ear tugging on our interlaced fingers.
Everyone went back to work ignoring us as we walked by.
"This is you, right around the corner from me. I'll call you if I need you or I will just find you" he kissed me cheek leaving me at the empty desk.
The whole office was open which was cool.
"Welcome to the team" Matt exclaimed walking up to me. "Feels great to be here" I joke.
"So how's Cindy" I look at him straight in the eyes making him tense up and look anywhere else but me.
"Uh well-" he cleared his throat " she's fine" I adjusted his tie.
"Yeah no morning sickness or anything" I question making him look down but in a sad way.
"I wouldn't know" he slumped into my seat as I leaned against the desk crossing my arms and legs.
"She won't call or return my texts. She told me then ghosted me" he sighed " I want to be there for her even if I don't necessarily like her that she's still pregnant with my child and I want to be there"
"I get it, she might just be scared. Single, young, had no clue what she's doing. Go talk to her in person and tell her that your there for her" I rub his back.
"Thanks Tor" he gave me a half smile "it's scary finding out your pregnant. Trust me" i exclaim with wide eyes then cover my mouth realizing what I just said.
He shot his head up to look at me.
I was pregnant at one point. It was a few years back in my senior year, I had been dating this boy named Jackson for about three years.
I loved him I truly did, I guess that's one reason why I gave up dating. I got pregnant and he left. The minute I told him, after three years gone.
That's why it hurt when Emit just gave up on us.
Due to stress cause he just left me and I was scared I was going to have to do this all alone since my mom was not happy about the situation at all, I had a miscarriage.
My sister was the only one really there for me. That really brought us closer together.
My mom, sister and Bri where the only ones that know about it .Jackson just dropped from my life so I don't know if he knows but he hadn't tried to see the baby I was supposed to have.
"Your pregnant!" He whispered yelled.
Right on time Erich walked back over. "Congrats man" Matt pulled him into a hug as he hugged back confused.
"Tori, she's pre-" I covered his mouth before someone over heard us and rumors stared up.
"What is he talking about?" I pulled both of them into his office closing the door.
"Matt shut the fuck up I'm not pregnant" I pointed my finger at him.
"Your pregnant!" Erich added in pulling me closer by my waist.
I pushed his hands off taking a step back.
"No no no no!" I exclaim making sure I was clear "but you said you know how it feels to find out your pregnant" Matt questioned looking confused.
I sighed "wait so are you or are you not?" Erich narrows his eyes at me.
"I'm not can I just explain-"
"I'm confused" Matt cut in "same"
"Holy shit can you guys just shut up and let me talk. Fuck it's not that hard to listen right!?" I raised my voice making both of them shut there mouths.
"Finally, thank you" I exclaimed walking over and sitting on top of Erich's desk, they eyes followed me.
"Okay Matt as telling me how Cindy was ignoring him, and I told him how she might just be scared and all" I explained catching Erich up.
"And you said that you have been in her shoes" Matt added in something useful for once.
"Yes, I have been pregnant" I say slowly.
"You have a kid!" Erich blurted out.
"FUCKING HELL ERICH JUST LISTEN AND LET ME FUCKING FINISH BEFORE ANY OF YOU SAY ANYTHING" I yell once more.
" I don't have a kid, my boyfriend of three years knocked me up in senior year. He left the minute I told him" I take a deep breath. What he did still hurt.
I wipe the tears forming in the corner of my eyes not letting them fall.
"My mom basically disowned me and shit. I was under so much stress of being in it alone and scared I wouldn't be able to take care of it that I lost it" I take a shaky breath collecting myself.
"That's also why I didn't date for a while... until you" I give a light smile. They both stared not knowing what to say or do.
Erich pulled me into a hug hold my head into his chest. " I am so sorry Tori" was all he said and was all I needed to hear.
