Drink
We went home after the party.
"D, do you know the girl at the party? Or the Montellanos?" I asked.
Natigilan siya sa aking tanong. "Don't mind them angel. They're nothing." Nakita kong may galit sa kaniyang mga mata ngunit mabilis din itong nawala. "Go to your room now angel. Goodnight," then he kissed the top of my head.
"Goodnight, D." I responded.
Hindi ko maiwasang isipin dahil bakit ganoon nalang sila makapagreact tuwing nakikita ako. I kept on thinking about it until I fell asleep.
Maaga akong nagising kaya naman ay napagpasyahan kong magluto ng agahan namin ni Danger.
When I finished cooking I saw Danger who's watching me.
"Goodmorning, D." I greeted him then kissed him on his cheek.
"Goodmorning, angel." He said.
"Let's eat? I prepared our breakfast." I told him.
Sabay kaming nagtungo sa dining area. Pinaghila niya ako ng upuan at nang maupo ako ay umupo siya sa tabi ko. Nagsimula naman kaming kumain.
"Hmm, D?" I called his attention.
"What is it?" He asked.
"Can I borrow your car later? I'll just bring some food for Hann.. on his condo unit." I answered then he looked at me then raise his eyebrow. "Don't look at me like that, D." He tsked.
"You can use it anytime angel. Just be careful okay? Drive safely." Paalala niya.
"Thank you, D." He's spoiling me too much.
"Pero pwede naman kitang ipagdrive, angel." Umiling ako sa kaniya.
"Hindi na, D. I can handle myself, okay?" Tugon ko.
I packed some food after we ate. Nagpaalam naman ako kay Danger bago umalis.
Naka black spaghetti strap top at black plaid high waisted skirt. Pinatungan ko iyon ng blazer.
I reach for the car key then went to the garage.
Maraming kotse si Danger at hindi ko alam kung saan ang gagamitin ko dito.. kaya naman ay pinatunog ko ang car key. There I saw his black Ferrari.
This is awesome!
I went inside the car. Inilapag ko naman sa passenger seat ang mga dala ko. Then I open the roof of his car. I started the engine then drove the car.
Ilang minuto lang ay nakarating din naman ako. I went out of my car sabay hawi ng buhok ko.
I walked towards the elevator and went inside.. sakto namang tumawag si Hann.
"Hann," I answered.
May narinig pa akong tumikhim at umubo sa aking likuran ngunit hindi ko iyon pinansin pa.
[Where are you?] He asked.
"Almost there.. I'm at the elevator now." I told him.
[Tsk. You are so stubborn. I already told you that I'll be the one to visit you.] Natawa naman ako sa sinabi niya.
Narinig kong tumunog ang elevator. "I'll gonna hang up now. Bye," I told him then ended the call.
Ibinalik ko ang cellphone sa bag saka lumabas ng elevator.
I swiped my key card on the door of Hann's condo unit. This was my spare key when I was still living here.
Pagkabukas ko ng pinto ay nakita ko agad si Hann.
"Goodmorning," then I smiled at him.. at tuluyan na akong pumasok.
"Goodmorning to, my sweet." He said then he kissed me on my cheek.
"Here, I brought food for you. Well, naparami ang niluto ko kanina kaya dinalhan nalang kita." I explained.
"You're so thoughtful, thank you!" He smiled at me.
Tinanggal ko ang blazer ko at ipinatong 'yon sa sofa.. at saka umupo. As for Han, he went to the kitchen.
"Do you want to eat with me?" He asked.
"Nah-," I was cut off because my phone rang.
I saw Dave's name on it, my secretary.. so I answered it.
[Hello, ma'am Xin.] Bungad niya.
"What is it Dave?" I asked.
[Ma'am, Architect Montellano's here. Nasa loob po ng opisina niyo.. at sabi niya gusto niya po kayong maka-usap.] He said.
"Bakit siya nandiyan?" Nagtataka kong tanong. Today is my off.
[Ma'am sabi po kasi niya may pag-uusapan daw po kayo tungkol sa construction daw po ng bagong building.] He explained. I sighed.
"Can you give him the phone?" I asked him.
[Okay ma'am.] Pagsang-ayon niya. [Hmm. Sir, Ms. Valderama wants to talk to you.] I heard him said.
"Who's that?" Hann asked.. kaya naman nilingon niya ako.
"It's my secretary." Tumango naman siya.
[Hello,] I heard a baritone voice.
"Oh hello there, Mr. Montella-,"
[Elias.] I was cut off when he spoke again. [Call me Elias, Majestia.] He said.
"Okay, Mr- I mean Architect Elias-" he cut me off again.
[It's Elias, Majestia. Just Elias.] Bakit ba big deal sa kaniya? Goodness, sumasakit ang ulo ko dito sa lalakeng 'to.
"Elias, can we just talk on other time?" Sana naman pumayag siya.
[Why? Am I interrupting your date?] His cold voice sent shivers on my spine.
"Date? Really, Elias?" I said with sarcasm. "I just want to remind you that it's my off today. So just postpone it, okay?" I told him.
[No,] mariin niyang saad. [I don't have enough time on the other day because I'll be busy.. that's why I decided to make it today.] God, hindi ba 'to nakakaintindi?
"But-" magpoprotesta pa ako nang magsalita siya muli.
[Tsk. Just come here Majestia. And leave. That. Place. Now.] He commanded then ended the call. Huh? I can't understand why he said that.
Ughh! How dare him?
"It's okay, Xin. You can go now." Hann said.
"Okay, I got to go." I kiss him on his cheek. I gathered all of my things.
"Take care.. and drive safely Xin. You don't want to repeat what happened right?" Tumango ako sa kaniyang sinabi.
"Goodbye, enjoy your breakfast." I told him before leaving his unit.
Nag-drive ako patungong opisina.. sa kamalasan ay natraffic pa ako. And guess what? Kanina pa ring ng ring yung phone ko.. pero hindi ko na sinagot because it's an unknown number.
Nang makarating ako sa building ay dumeretso ako sa opisina ko.
"Goodmorning, ma'am." Pagbati ng ilang empleyadong nakakasalubong ko.
Ganun din nang makita ako ni Dave. Tinanguan ko nalang siya.
"Where is he?" I asked.
"Nasa loob po ma'am." Sagot ni Dave.
"Okay, thank you." I slowly opened the door and there I saw him. Nakatapat sa kaniyang tenga ang cellphone.
Napairap naman ako nang makitang may tumatawag na naman sa akin.. pintayan ko ito.
"Damn it." I heard him curse.
"Are you aware that you're cursing inside my office, Mr. Montellano?" I asked him to get his attention.
Nakakunot ang noo niya at salubong ang kilay nang binalingan niya ako. His eyes scanned me from head to toe.. at naramdaman kong nagdilim ang kaniyang paningin.
"Why are you late? And you're not answering my calls." Umirap ako sa kaniya. I walk towards my seat.. then tinanggal ko ang blazer ko at isinabit 'yon sa sandalan ng swivel chair.
"Oh that was your number, I'm sorry. Well, my brother told me that I shoudn't answer if it's from unknown number.. and I was stock in the traffic," I answered. Then I seated on the chair and lean my both hands on the table. "Anyway, have a seat.. and then you can start." I looked at him.
"Here," he put a bottle water infront of me. Nagtataka ko siyang tiningnan. "Drink it first." He said.
I drink the half of it. Then he started discussing about the project.
Tumigil siya sa pagsasalita at uminom dun sa boteng ininuman ko kanina.
Nanlaki ang mata ko sa ginawa niya. "Oh my god! That's mine, Elias." He just looked at me casually.
We just had an indirect kiss! What is he thinking?
"So?" Nagulat ako sa kaniyang sinabi. He drink on it again.. then he continued talking.
