Momma nd nem woke me up early the next morning to help Gramma and them get ready for they flight. I got off Von and walked downstairs. Gramma: "Gimme sum suga Pookie." I gave her a kiss on the cheek and a hug and helped her put her bags in the trunk. Auntie Shirley got in the backseat and Daddy drove them to the airport. I walked upstairs and cut my music on so I could go to sleep. I set an alarm for 6pm and dozed off.
I woke up at 4pm and I had a few texts from Von. "Imma come back at around 5:30 or 6. Luv you." I got up and fixed my hair nd got dressed. I put on my tennis shoes and walked downstairs. Momma and Daddy was in the living room watching BET. Momma: "Where you goin?" Me: "Imma go wit Von nd Nique. We gon be back at around 5:30 den head out at 7." Daddy: "For what?" Me: "All of us goin to eat." Momma: "Ight baby... Be safe. Don't wreck my car." I grabbed her keys and walked out. I texted Von and asked him where he was at. He sent me location ian never been to before. I just used the GPS to get there. It was a pretty bad neighborhood. I locked Momma's doors and got out. I walked across the street and knocked on the door. A man wit a big ole man bun of dreads opened the door. He had a bottle of Henny in his hand and said "Who da fuck is you?" Me: "I'm Von's girl. Who da fuck is you?" Man: "Aye shordy watch who you talkin to." Me: "I'm not worried about you. Is Von in here?" Man: "Maybe he is nd maybe he ain't. Da fuck you need em for?" I seen Von come around the corner in the back and he said "Aye Keem, dis my girl." Keem: "I thought chu was datin a different girl. You was over here wit her the other day." Von: "Man quit playin." I walked in and it was a bunch of people in the living room. Me: "Is this a party?" Von: "Sum like that. Ion wanna say family reunion cus da whole fam ain here but it's mostly family." Unc: "I SEE YOU NEPHEW!" Von: "Wassup Unc?" Unc: "I see you got another one. Much much better than the last one. I see you done made it official too. She got ya name on her neck. A woman came around the corner and said "Food's ready! Von is you stayin to eat?" Von: "Nah Auntie. Imma be leavin in about an hour." Auntie: "Okay baby. UHP- Who is thisss??" She circled around me and picked up my hand. Von: "She ain't a animal Auntie..." Auntie: "What's yo name hunny?" Me: "Laiya.." Auntie: "OH VON! THIS THE ONE YOU WAS TALKING BOUT! It was a bunch of ppl outside smokin and throwin a football back and forth. Some dudes and Nique was sitting at a table playin cards. I walked over to the table and stood next to Nique. He looked over at me and said "I see yo lame ass finally came out da house." I smacked him in his head and said "Boy shut up. I was asleep. Von said we boutta be headin out to get Mani soon. You needa find somebody to bring." Nique: "I was thinking Dana." Me: "Word?" Nique: "Yuh. She kinda bad. She look a LOT better than Niyah." Me: "Not everything bout looks Nique." He puffed the blunt and said "Miss me wit dat. You got her number don't you?" Me: "Yeah Niyah sent it to me but I never texted her." Nique: "Well hit her up and tell her a nigga tryna get at ha." I rolled my eyes and walked over to Von. He was talking to a group of dudes and they was being loud and laughing. Von: "You good ma?" Dude: "Damn das you Von?" Me: "Uh.. Yea I'm good." Von sat down at the table where Nique was at so I sat on his lap and watched the other dudes play cards. Von put his head in my neck and started kissing my neck. Keem: "Dawg come on wit dat bs😐." Nique: "My nigga it's worse back at her house." Von: "Mane yall niggas jus mad cus yall can't find nobody🤣. Can't get a shordy as bad as mines either." Keem: "Mane whatever." It was around 5:45pm so it was getting dark. Nique: "Aye dawg I'm starting to get hungry." Von: "Yea I'm boutta go tell my uncle nem bye den we gon go back to Lai's crib." He got up and went inside and knocked on a bedroom door. His uncle came and open the door. Unc: "Wassup nephew?" Von: "Imma head out Unc." Unc: "Ight boa. I'll see you whenever." He dapped Von up and gave him a hug. Von: "Where's Auntie?" Unc: "She sleep. I'll tell her you said bye tomorrow." Von dapped a cuppa dudes in the living room up and we left. I texted Mani nd she said her and Quan was gon go back to our house. Von took us back to my house and I went upstairs to get ready. I put on some ripped jeans and a pair of Jordan's and a matching hoodie. I kept my hair the same and put some mini hoops in. I put on my lip gloss and walked downstairs. Mani: "Awee look at chuu." Nique: "She actually did sum wit herself 😭." Daddy: "Boy hush." Momma: "Mhm. Don't be talkin bout my baby girl. Look at you. You need a line up ya self. Worry bout dat instead of my baby." Me and Mani busted out laughing. Nique pulled his hood over his head and said "Mane it was jus a joke Auntie damn." Me: "Awe Nique feelings hurt? 😭😭" Nique: "Hell nawl. I'm a G. Imma lil salty dassit. Youn ever see me in my feelings." Mani: "Mhm but when Desiree left you, it was a different story.." Nique: "Don't bring her up. Lai did you ever text Dana?" Me: "No.. Imma do it in the car." Von: "Ight well let's go den." Everybody grabbed they jackets and got in the car. We stopped to pick up Quan then we went to the restaurant. When we pulled up in the restaurant, I typed in the number that Niyah sent me. The number was already in my phone so I got confused. I read the messages that was sent back and forth. It was the "anonymous" messages that somebody had sent me about Daijah and Von. Me: "Oh HELL NAW. TAKE ME TO DANA'S HOUSE RIGHT NOW!" Von: "For what? Wassup?" I handed him my phone and he said "Okay? I seen them. What about em?" Me: "Dayna is da bitch that sent em." Von: "Lai." Me: "I'm going over there." Nique: "Shidd no tf you not. We jus got here. I'm hungry." Von: "You not goin over there at all Lai. Ion need da police gettin called." Me: "They not gon get called. I announced to da public and Daijah that whoever tf was bein scary and sending messages out my phone, was going to get dey ass whooped jus like Daijah did. I told Daijah to tell whoever." Mani: "Girl relaxx😭." Me: "Naw dawg cus dat bitch was in my mfn house tryna act buddy buddy wimme. I'm realll excited to whoop dat ass. Jus wait til I see her." Von grabbed my phone and held it up. Me: "Gimme my shit!" Von: "No. You not finna be fighting nobody tonight." I balled up my fist and hit him in his stomach. He didn't flinch. Von: "That shit don't work on me." He handed my phone to Mani and said "Don't let her have dis back." Me: "Yall niggas fuckin bogus dawg." Mani: "Lawdd Lai chill outtt😭." Quan: "Facts. Relax kid." We walked in the restaurant and a lady walked us to a table. She handed us some menus and told us to take our time. Mani: "I like all of us out together." Von grabbed my hand and said "Chill shordy." Me: "I'm not doing nothing." Von: "I can see yo leg bouncing." I looked down and it was bouncing all fast nd shit. I stopped and looked at him. Von: "See." I rolled my eyes and put my head down. Mani: "Don't do this again Lai Lai." Von got up from the booth and tapped my shoulder. Me: "What?" Von: "Come on." I stared at him for a few seconds then got up. He walked back to the car and got in. I stood in front of the car and he waved his hand. I got in the passenger seat and said "Whatchu bring me out here for?" He stayed quiet and pulled his bookbag out from behind the seat. He had a blunt in there and lit it. He passed it to me without taking a puff. Von: "Gon head." I took it and hit it. I passed it back to him and he leaned over, put his hand on my throat and gave me a kiss. I felt my body relax and he pulled away. He put the blunt out and said "Ight. You gon go back in and get sum to eat." Me: "Okay..." We walked back in and Mani said "Hm that was the quickest one." Me: "We didn't do nothing." I sat back down and the waitress came and took everybody's order. About 30 minutes later she came back with everybody's food and drinks. Nique: "Yessirrr." Mani and Quan was talking and flirting a lil bit back and forth. I laid my head on Von's shoulder and he kissed my forehead. Me: "Im gon beat her ass." Nique: "I stg imma start callin Lai "Tyson" yo. Yall seen how bad she beat up dat one bitch?" Mani: "Yoo we seen her at the mall on Lai's birthday and she was tryna be all nice nd shit😭. I was embarassed for her." We started laughing and I said "Mhm Dayna was da same way. I was wondering why she was acting so weird mane. I stg when I see dat bitch Imma beat df outta her." Quan: "Damn Laiya 🤣. She don't gaf." Me: "Bae you should shoot a bitch house up for me😁." Von: "Bet." Me: "No. I'm playin. You better not cus Imma kill yo ass." Everybody sat at the table and ate nd talked some more until around 9pm. We paid the check and left.
Von took Quan back home and dropped Mani off with him, then he took us home. We got in the house and it was dark. I cut on a light in the kitchen and seen a piece of paper on the table. It had writing on it that said "We'll be back soon. Probably at around 10-11pm. Act like y'all got some sense and don't tear up my house -Dee and Ro." Nique: "Damn I wonder where they went." Me: "Prolly out to eat too." I patted my pockets and looked at Von. Me: "Take me to Quan's house please." Von: "For what?" Me: "Mani still got my phone." Von: "Youn need it." He sat on the couch and stared at me. I stared back then grabbed Momma's car keys since they took Daddy's car. Von: "Aye! Whatchu doin?" I shut the front door and got in the car. Von and Nique came outside and Von said "Lai!" Me: "I'll be back byee!" I pulled out the driveway and went to Quan's house. When I got there I knocked on the door and he answered. Quan: "Oh hey... uh wassup?" Me: "Is Mani in here?" Quan: "Yeah why? Did sum happen?" Me: "Naw. I just need my phone. Tell her come here and hurry please." He walked away and went around a corner. A few seconds later Mani came to the door and said "You good?" Me: "Fasho. I'm straight. I jus need my phone. Ight I gotta hurry up and go." Mani: "Lai, you bet not be plotting on goin to that girl's house." Me: "Bye Mani! Yall have fun 😁." I walked to the car and got in. I locked my doors and checked my phone. I had a few missed calls from Momma but I already knew what they was about. I started up the car and started thinking about whether I should go to Dana's house or not. I sent her a text and said "Ohhh so you was da goofy friend of Daijah's that was in my phone on some bs. Hm that's weird cus I remember you saying you wanted to be my friend. Anyways, be expecting an ass whoopin boo ❤️. You ain't safe." I pulled off and went to the store. I sat in the parking lot so I could text her back whenever she texted me. She texted back and said "What are you talking about?" I called her and she picked up. Dana: "Hello? Lai? What was you talking about in that message?" Me: "Don't play dumb wimme Dana. I kno yo ass sent that text in my phone cus the messages was sent from this mfn number and after I get your number from Da'Niyah there was the messages that chu sent bitch." Dana: "What messages is you talking about yo?" I pulled the phone away from my ear and looked for the screenshots in my camera roll. I sent them to her and she said "Oh um.. Daijah made me send them Lai..." Me: "And? Is Daijah yo owner or something? Da fuck. Bitch you was in my house, you was around my ppl. You a dog ass hoe my nigga. I stg it's on sight Dana. When I got back home Von was sitting on the front porch. Me: "Look at chu tryna look scary🤣." Von: "You bet not have been to that girls house." Me: "Why?" Von: "Cus she crazy." Me: "Oh really? Von: "I was but then I seen Niyah pull up and I decided to stay here." Me: "Yeah cus they ain't finna be fuckin or doin nun else in my momma house." Von started laughing and said "That's real hypocritical." Me: "Boy stfu 🤣." He said he was tired so he laid down and went to sleep. I got a text from Dana again. She said "Laiya, please. You're being hostile and childish and I'm trying to come to you as a woman to talk to you about this. Meet me somewhere tomorrow please." I rolled my eyes and went to sleep.
I woke up at 6am the next morning. I got in the shower, brushed my hair and teeth, and got dressed when I got out. I put on some leggings, tennis shoes, a tank top and a zip up hoodie. I put my hair in a high bun and walked downstairs. Good, nobody else was up. I grabbed Momma's keys and went to the car. I sent Von and Momma a text telling them I was "Running errands." I started the car and drove to target. I was in there for about an hour buying hair and face stuff. I went to Walmart and bought some groceries for the house. Finally I went to the mall and stayed there until around 11:30am. Von was blowin my phone up with calls. I grabbed my bags and walked back to Momma's car. Me: "Hello?" Von: "Da fuck is you at?" Me: "Well good morning to you too. You sound so sexy when you wake up mad" Von: "Laiya I'm not playing." Me: "I went to Target, Walmart, and the mall. I'm coming out the mall right now." Me: "I'm still goin over there." Von: "Nd Imma go too. Whether she want me there or not." I grabbed my phone and dialed her number. She waited to pick up the phone. Dana: "Uh hello?" Me: "What time you want me to come over?" Dana: "Anytime you're free." Me: "Ight. Von gon be comin wit me." Dana: "Oh. I guess that's ight." Me: "We gon be over there in about an hour." Dana: "Ight coo. When you get here just knock on the front door. My mom might answer." Me: "Ok bye." I put my phone on the counter and Von gave me a kiss. Von: "Walkin outside innem leggings lookin all good and shit." Me: "Is anybody else awake?" Von: "Nah. Yo parents was up late and Mani came home from Quan's late too. Nique left nd ian seen him since." Me: "Betchu he out bein nasty wit Niyah😭." I walked upstairs and went in my room. Von sat in my chair and got on his phone. I pulled out some new clothes to put on since it was getting real cold. I took the clothes off and tried changing but Von got up and gave me a kiss. Me: "I'm tryna change." Von: "I kno." He gave me another kiss so I sat down on my bed. Von: "Fr?" I laid back and he gave me some more kisses. We got into kissing a lot but somebody tried to open my door. I'm glad I locked it. Von got up and opened it. It was just Mani. I threw on my jeans and she said "Mhmmm😏." Me: "Whatchu need Mani?" Mani: "I just wanted to see whatchu was doin. And if you knew where Nique was at." Me: "Nah Ian seen him since last night. I'm boutta head over to Dana's." Mani: "Imma call him. Whatchu goin to Dana's for?" Me: "She wanna talk. Von comin wit me." She called Nique and put him on speaker. Mani: "Wya" Nique: "Huh?" Mani: "Where are you?" Nique: "Uhh... I left." Mani: "Where'd you go?" Nique: "Don't worry bout it. I'll be back later." Mani: "What time?" Nique: "Mani. Stop worryin and askin all dem questions. Imma be back soon lil sis. Imma be ight. I luv you bye." Mani hung up and said "Well what time yall goin to Dana's house?" Me: "In about an hour." Mani: "Ight. Imma be at Quan's crib. Auntie and Unc left for work so yall lock up the house when y'all leave." She smirked at us and walked out. I got out the car and walked to her door. Von sat in his car and looked out. Dana opened it and said "Hi... I thought you said Von was coming." I turned around and looked at Von's car. He rolled up the window and got out. Dana: "Oh... Well um, yall come in." We walked in and she sat us down on the couch. Dana: "Yall want anything to drink?" Me: "Nah we good. Whatchu call me over here to talk about?" Dana: "Laiya... I'm sorry." Me: "For what?" Dana: "The text. I told you DJ blackmailed me into sendin that." Me: "Why do you let Daijah bitch you around like that?" Dana: "Cus she got shit on me." Me: "And? Find some shit to get on her. Beat her fuckin ass yo. She ain't shit. She's a mfn pussy. Both of yall goofy asf fr. Too damn old to be acting like some 6th graders." Dana: "Youn understand tho... The shit she got on me is something ion want nobody to know about." Me: "Why tf you still hang around her??? Jus tell her you still respect her but you gotta leave her alone." Dana: "Because..." Me: "Da fuck is she even threatening to expose you on?" Dana: "I'm not going to say... Anyways I really hope you can understand..." Me: "Why didn't you just say something sooner? I lost hella respect for you. Tbh ion believe shit you telling me rn." Dana: "Ion expect you to. I told you why I ain't say nun sooner." There was a knock on her front door. She got up and opened it. Dana: "Bro you gotta go... you can't be here rn!! DJ! Go." Von got up and walked to the door. I heard the voice say "Really?? THIS is why you don't want me over? I thought you was my friend D. You fuckin around wit Von now?" I got up and walked to the door too and seen Daijah big body ass standing there. Me: "Nah baby he still with me." He put his arm around me and started laughing. Daijah: "Why are they here Dana?" Dana: "I needed to talk to her." Daijah: "About what?" Me: "She don't gotta tell you if she don't want to. Move around sweetie. You don't own her so stop acting like it." Daijah: "Can I talk to my friend without you jumpin in?" Me: "Well I was having a conversation with her first before you came so no ion think I'll do that. Preciate you asking tho." Dana's mom came around the corner and said "Hi DJ! Come on in." Daijah rolled her eyes and pushed past me. She walked in the living room and plopped down in the chair. Dana shut the door and all 3 of us sat back down. Me: "So now I got a question for you Daijah. Why are you blackmailing Dana into sendin me sum shit like that? That's a bum bitch move." Daijah: "It ain't nun of yo business." Me: "Baby it is tho. Cus who's phone was the message sent to? Mine. That makes it my business. To be completely honest I'm not about to beef over a nigga." Daijah: "Then don't! Nobody is forcing you to respond back to anything we saying girl!" Me: "First of all boo whatchu needa do is take sum of that bass out yo voice. Ion be wanting to respond back but yall bitches are literally everywhere stalking every damn thing me and Von do. We both tired of it so I'm finna speak on it." Dana: "Look, ion want yall fighting again." Daijah: "Ion really care." Me: "I'm not finna beat yalls ass in yo house. That's disrespectful to yo momma. I'd be glad to take it outside tho." Dana: "Whatchu mean yall?" Me: "You gettin a ass whoopin too. Ion hold back bitch." Von: "Laiya." Me: "So come tf on and let's go." Von: "Lai, it's time to leave." Me: "Ian leaving til I whoop somebody's ass." Daijah: "Girl just leave. You doin the absolute most atp." Me: "Bitch don't be tryna act all tuff now that Von and Dana here. On my birthday when you seen me at the mall you asked if we could be friends so chill out wit dat bullshit." Von got up and grabbed my jacket. Daijah: "Von tryna keep you outta trouble Laiya. You need to leave." Me: "I will." Dana and Daijah got up and went to the door to let us out. Von grabbed my arm and walked me out. Daijah stood on the front porch so I ran back and dragged her off of it. I pushed her on the ground and grabbed Dana. I pushed her down and beat her ass first then I kicked her and started beating on Daijah. Von came over and grabbed me and tried to pull me off of them and Dana's mom came out the house and started screaming at me. Me: "I don't give a fuck ma'am!" She helped Dana get up and said "I'm calling the police!" Me: "Good bitch! Call em! I'll be waiting on them. Give them my mutha fuckin address too hoe!" I walked over to the car and slammed the door. Von was still standing there talking to her mom. I couldn't hear what they was saying. She nodded her head and he came over to the car. He got in and took me back home. Von: "Da fuck is wrong with you yo?!" Me: "I said I was gon do it and it got done. They don't wanna listen then that's on them." Von: "Laiya! The whole point in me going there was to keep you from doing that! Why do you gotta do shit like this???" Me: "Cus they don't know when to stop Von!" Von: "Apparently you don't either! You just as bad as they is!" Me: "Whatever dawg I'm not finna argue. It's done." I seen flashing lights outside and there was a knock on the door. I opened it and there were 2 police officers. Me: "Hello?" Police #1: "Are you Layla?" Me: "No sir my name is Laiya." Police #2: "Were you just at someone named Dana's house." Me: "Yes ma'am I was." Police #1: "Uh ma'am we're going to have to take you down to the station..." Von: "For what?" Officer #2: "Aggravated assault." Me: "Okay.. Yall gotta put da cuffs on me?" Von: "Lai-" Me: "Imma be ight. Jus call Mani or Momma. My phone's on the table. You kno da password." They turned me around and put the cuffs on my wrists. They walked me to the police car and took me to the station. They sat me in the holding cell and told me I had to sit there for a few hours until someone had come down to the station to get me.
I sat in there for about 3 hours then I seen Von come around the corner. Von: "You see??? This is why I told you to just stop!!" Me: "I am fine." Von: "Youn know what could happen." Me: "Whateva happens, happens. Did you call Momma?" Von: "No. I'm not going to until I find out full details." The officer walked over and said "Ms. Anderson, you have a court date on the day written on the paper. If you refuse to be present on the day of trial, you will be back in police custody. Since this is the first trouble you've been in with the police, and the families of the girls have decided not to press charges, the most you'll get is house arrest. We'll see you in court this weekend. Due to the altercation happening today, you have to spend the night here in this cell and someone will have to pick you up first thing tomorrow." Me: "Okay." Von: "What time do I gotta be here to pick her up?" Officer: "8am would be a good time." Von: "Ight..." Me: "Stop worryin baby. Imma be ight. I'll see you tomorrow morning." Von: "You don't listen Lai..." Me: "I know baby... Ion like folks comin in my phone tryna send threats over you..." Officer: "They threatened you?" Me: "Basically." Officer: "You have to say that once you're standing in front of the judge." Me: "Yes ma'am.." Von: "I'm not worried bout dem Lai. You gave dem exactly wtf they wanted. Ion wanna see you like this." Me: "Well Von I'm not gon beef over you. If she really want you that bad she can have you. I love you a lot, more than anybody I've ever been with, but I can't have somebody always up in my face tryna create a problem over a dude that she used to be with." Von: "I don't want her." Me: "I know that but you need to let her know that. Tell her to leave you alone or something. I can't deal with her." Von: "Ight den. It's done." Me: "Now go home. Ion wantchu waiting on me all night. You betta get some sleep too." Von: "I'm not finna go home." Me: "Yes you are." Von: "Why?" Me: "I just told you Von. Go home please. You'll see me in a few hours." I blew him a kiss and he walked away. I went and sat on a bench in the corner. There was 3 other women in the cell with me. They seemed like they knew each other. I traced the pattern of the wall with my finger a few times until I got tired. I laid out on the bench and took a nap.
When I woke up, I looked at the clock and it was 3AM. I looked over and the 3 women were gone. I sat there for a few more minutes then I seen Momma, Daddy, Mani, Nique, and Von come in. Momma: "Where is my daughter???" Officer: "Ma'am I need you to sit down. An officer will be with you eventually." Momma: "I need to speak with my daughter." Daddy grabbed Momma's shoulders and sat her down in a chair. Daddy: "Ro, look at me. Lai Lai is probably fine." I stuck my hand thru the bar and waved at Mani. She tapped Momma and pointed at me. A look of relief came across Momma's face. I blew her a kiss and then an officer walked out. Officer: "Your daughter is still currently in the cell and can be released at 8am today. You may choose to either sit in here until the time comes or you can go home and come back. It's your choice." Momma: "Can I talk to her please?" Officer: "Sure. I have to inform you that you can't put your hands through the bars, you can't give her anything, and she can't do those things either." Momma nodded and ran over to the cell. Momma: "Laiya what the hell did you do?!! What is wrong with you??? You don't ever think things through Lai!" Mani: "Why'd you even go over there?" Nique: "She finna go to jail?" Daddy: "Laiya why do you do these things?" Me: "Well damn. Hi everybody. I went to Dana's crib, Daijah showed up, it got physical so Dana's momma called the police. I went home and the police came and got me. I been here for a few hours. No, I'm not going to jail since this is my first time being arrested and since I just turned 18, they considered me as an adult so I'm most likely gon be put on house arrest. Any more questions?" Momma started shaking her head then she leaned in and said "Laiya, you lucky yo ass is behind them damn bars cus if you was standing in front of me right now, I'd wear yo lil ass out! You need to control your anger. Why'd you even go over there knowing how you are??" I stepped back and sat on the bench again. Me: "Momma you don't gotta be here. None of yall do frfr. Yall don't gotta be here at 8am either. I'll find my own way back home. Unless you don't want me there Momma. Cus I'll leave." Daddy: "Lai Lai nobody said that. We were all worried after being told you were at the police station." Me: "I understand that. But if I'm fine now, why are y'all still overreacting?" Mani: "We yo family Pooh. We gon overreact over you. It's just instinct." Me: "Well ion want yall sitting here all night. Go home." Daddy: "No." Me: "Please?? I want yall to get some sleep." Momma: "I'm not leaving until I know what's gon happen witchu." I sighed and told her everything the officer told me. Momma: "Lawd I got a headache..." Me: "And that's why y'all should be home. I will be okay. I want yall to go home and get some rest." Momma: "Lai-" Me: "Momma just go home. I will be fine I promise." She stared at me for a few more seconds and said "Fine Laiya. We gon be here first thing in the morning." Me: "Okay Mommy. I love yall." Daddy kissed Momma's cheek and walked her to the car. Nique, Von and Mani stayed back. Me: "Why you so quiet Von?" Von: "Ion got nun to say shordy." Mani: "Lai please let this be a lesson to you." Me: "It's a lesson for them hoes too Mani." Nique: "Acting dat way ain't gon get chu no where Laiya. That judge won't gaf." Me: "I know Nique... Look it's almost 4:30am. Yall need to go home and get some rest. Von you can stay at my house if you want." Mani: "Ight Lai... We'll be back soon. I love you kid." Me: "I love y'all too Mani." She smiled and they walked off. I felt bad cus Von looked pretty upset... I mean it could be worse than this. I went back to the bench and fell asleep.
I woke up to a tapping on the cell door. Officer: "Ms. Anderson, it's 7:45am. Your boyfriend is here to pick you up." Me: "He is?? How long has he been there?" Officer: "He never left." She guided me out the cell and to a desk. She had all my jewelry in a bag and handed it to me. Officer: "Laiya, seeing that you haven't been in any legal trouble, and looking at your school record, you're a smart and beautiful young woman. Please don't throw your life away by letting your anger get the best of you. People will do anything to bring you down. You gotta be strong and pay no attention. That boy out there seems like he loves you a lot. The same with your family. Please make better decisions in the future Laiya." Me: "Yes ma'am." She walked me through the front and I seen Von asleep in one of the chairs. I walked over to him and sat down. I put my head on his shoulder and he jumped up. Von: "Lai??" Me: "Hi." Von: "They let chu out?" Me: "I'm out here ain't I?" He grabbed my face and kissed me. Von: "Don't you ever do nothing else like that. She coulda pressed charges and yo ass coulda been in there for a while." Me: "I know baby... I'm sorry." I looked up and gave him a kiss. He got up and grabbed his keys so we could leave. We got in the car and he drove me to McDonald's so I could get some breakfast. After that, we went back home. When I walked in the house, everybody was asleep on the couch. I sat down my stuff and walked upstairs. I laid down on my bed and Von sat next to me. Von: "I don't ever wanna see you behind dat door ever again." Me: "Ion ever wanna see you behind it either." I rolled over and laid on his chest. He hugged me real tight and kissed my forehead. Somebody came upstairs and opened my door. Nique: "Ayo who is that?" I turned my head to look at him and he said "Yooo you looked like a whole nother girl. I thought Von had another bitch up here." Me: "If he EVER-" Von interrupted me by giving me a kiss. Von: "Shut up." I put my head back down and Nique said "Well lemme tell Auntie and nem that you back." He closed my door and a few seconds later I heard Momma yell "LAIYAAAAA!" I jumped up and ran downstairs. Me: "Yes ma'am?" Momma came over to me and smacked me in the face. Me: "Mom!" Momma: "Don't you EVER do no dumb shit like that ever again!" She grabbed me and pulled me into a hug. She squeezed me as tight as she could. Daddy came over and hugged both of us. Nique: "See they crazy." Me: "Momma I'm sorry... I'm gon be on house arrest tho so... I won't be able to leave for a lil while. You'll have me all to yourself." She wiped her face and said "You got me so upset ion know what to do wit myself." Me: "Get chu some more rest Momma... Everybody actually. Come on everybody go to bed." I gave Momma and Daddy a kiss on their cheeks and walked them upstairs. Momma: "When do you gotta go to court?" Me: "Tomorrow. I'll be okay Mommy. Please stop worrying." I closed her door and walked back in my room. Von was still laying on my bed fighting his sleep. Me: "Go to sleep baby." Von: "I'm not even tired Lai." Me: "Yes you are. Go to bed." Von: "I'm not." He got up and put his hands around my waist. I looked at his eyes and said "Mhm. You got bags under yo eyes and you look tired." Von: "Just cus I look tired don't mean I am." Me: "You was asleep at the police department." Von: "Well I'm up now." I rolled my eyes and sat on my bed. Von: "Uhnt uhn. Don't be rollin yo eyes at me. If anybody get to roll they eyes and have an attitude, it's me." Me: "And why is that? 🤣" Von: "Cus I told you to leave that hoe alone nd you ain't wanna listen." Me: "Well, they had what was coming baby." He crawled on me and laid on my chest. I kissed him and messed with his dreads. He was sleep within 10 minutes.
Mani came in my room and sat down in my chair. Me: "Can I help you?" Mani: "Naw. I'm just bored." Me: "Have you been to sleep?" Mani: "Uh... No." Me: "Please get some rest." Mani: "I'm not tired." Me: "Von told me the same thing a few minutes ago, now look at him. Just go lay down and you'll get tired real quick. Ion want yall to be tired all day cus of me." Mani: "Fine Lai. Nique went to sleep a lil while ago too. Imma prolly head to sleep. Goodnight Pookiee." She waved at me and shut my door. It was only 9:30am but I was so tired. I turned my TV on and watched some shows until I fell asleep.
