Imagine; you have your first period and because you feel ashamed, you lock yourself in the bathroom, worrying your dads.

You're scared, and not just regular anxiety fills your body when you notice... well it.
You've been feeling like crap all week, lower back pains making you feel like a grandma, your belly feels like it's being stabbed over and over again. And last but certainly not least, you've been cranky.
Of course Steve and Bucky noticed, there's not one thing they won't notice when it comes to their little girl. So they ask the one person that knows a lot about women.. Wanda..
...She didn't want to answer any of their questions so they went to Nat. She brushed it off as just puberty. "She will be fine, you worry too much.."
Now that may have been true, but when you've been upstairs all day without even once showing your face, they can't help but worry.
Upstairs you're still in shock. There's blood, in your underwear.
You're not stupid, you know what it means and what it is, you know that there's stuff that can help with it and that are essential for girls, but nobody prepared you for this.
Yes of course you learned this at school and from friends, but now you're sitting there, thinking about everything you will need, and that you have to ask your dads for such personal stuff.
All the girl friends you have, have moms to talk to about these type of situations but you don't. It's not that you think they will find this disgusting or weird, except for that you do think that.
Luckily you were smart enough to bring your phone with you into the bathroom. You reach for it and unlock it.
You open your texts and go to your aunts chat, you hurriedly type a text saying that you need her to help you while the tears start rolling down your cheeks.
From shock to panic.
Your thumb hovers over the send button. She's probably busy, she can't help you. You're a big girl right? -
'Y/n...'
You startle when there's a bang on the for followed by your name, again. You accidentally press send and curse.
'Everything okay in there?, you sound distressed...'
Damn super soldier hearing.
'Y-yeah I'm okay...' you answer but remain seated.
A wave of pain hits you and you audibly groan as you lean forwards with a hand pressed to your stomach.
'Doesn't sound like you are, do you want me to come in-'
'NO!' You yell louder than you should. 'No!, please don't come in!'
You hear your phone ding and you look at it. Your aunts name pops up. 'On my way'
'Shit shit shit!, I haven't thought this through...'
'Haven't thought what through? Y/n?' Steve joins Bucky's side.
'Just go away!' You yell frustrated, your mood significantly changing.
'I'm fine!'

After a few minutes of contemplating and figuring out what to do, you think it's best to take a hot shower, or at least a version of a shower.
You're sitting in the bathtub, your knees up to your chest while the water just runs over your body, the sound drowning out the sniffles and sobs coming from you.
'Y/n?, honey?' Natasha's voice comes from behind the door. 'What's going on?'
Deep down Natasha knows the answer, so she brought everything you could possibly need and more, you're her favourite niece, she will help you through everything.
'You have to open the door honey...it's just me...'
You slowly pull yourself up and turn off the shower, you cover yourself up with a towel before opening the door, shutting it after her quickly.
I don't know what to do...' you burst out in tears and Natasha, not caring if she gets wet, wraps her arms around you.
'It's okay honey I'm here... shhh... it's going to be okay...' she shushes you.
'I don't want them to know so.. I thought I'd text you.. you're the only one who gets it... right?' You wipe your tears and she nods.
'Of course I do honey... let's get you all dry and I'll explain everything to you okay?' You nod and she turns her back to you as you quickly dry yourself off.
'Keep your towel on, I'll explain what you can do to prevent it getting everywhere.. lord knows how many times I've had that happening to me...' she jokes and you let out a small chuckle.
You feel calm after she explains everything to you, she isn't disgusted or doesn't judge you, it's normal for her and it will be for you. It just takes some getting used to.
In that moment she's not just your aunt, she's your best friend and your teacher as dramatic as that may sound.
'Now... those super soldier dads seem very scary to be honest to about this, but honey... they know more than you think... you don't have to tell them everything, unless you want to really make them uncomfortable..' she jokes as she takes your hand. 'But they are too worried for their own good, you should let them know, they will help you get everything they need... and if you have questions, text me or call me... I'm not afraid to answer them...'
'I know... you once told the government to kiss your ass...'
'Language...' Steve smiles from the doorframe. 'And auntie Nat is right... we know more about it then we want to... we get that you don't want to come to us... but if that makes you more comfortable we won't bring it up...'
'We are glad that you're okay.. well.. you get me..' Bucky speaks up and you nod.
'Now if you don't mind gentlemen... I have to take my niece out.. girls day...' she grins and a large smile forms on your face. 'It's a tradition amongst mothers, but since you were lucky enough to get this much testosterone.. I'll take you...it's gonna be just fine honey...'
