"Who were you before they broke your heart?"
Blossom's POV
"Ready little flower?" Narissa asked from the doorway
I was still chained to the wall, sitting in this cold dark cell
"For what?" I asked
"Sin's coming home" she smiled.
"What?" I asked worriedly as the guards unchained me
He- he was coming here?
"He's coming home, now up we get, you need to be present or I just know he'll get worked up" she chuckled dryly
"You don't know anything about him" I snapped.
"I know my own son" she snapped back, the guards dragging me up to my feet
"Clearly not, or you'd know he won't get worked up if I'm not there" I said
"Oh well... Pray do tell what will he do?" She asked smugly, as I was pulled to a stop mere inches from her
"He'll rip your head off for taking me in the first place" I said, staring right into her eyes.
Her face dropped, before her eyes flickered to the guards
"Take her" she ordered
I was dragged out, led down to what looked like a throne room.
And placed... on the floor. Again.
Narissa waltzed in, taking her seat on the throne and waiting
"We're just going to wait in silence?" I asked
"Would you prefer polite conversation?" She asked sweetly.
"I'd prefer to know why you're doing this" I said, looking up at her as she side glanced me
"You know why I'm doing this" she said
"No, I know you want Sin in your life, but why this way? Couldn't you just... I don't know, can't you sit down with Alexander and talk, arrange something" I suggested.
I watched her jaw clench and her eyes tighten
"Sin doesn't want to see you because you present yourself as the enemy, just talk to him, explain why you did all this" I said, hoping I'd break through to her.
She sat there for a moment, before her eyes darkened slightly and she looked down at me
"No" she said
"No?" I echoed
"Alexander abandoned me, he left me" she said deadly calm, but the way her hands gripped the arms of her throne told me she was a bubbling inferno.
Her mood matching the blood stained red of her nails.
"He found his mate" I said softly
She scoffed
"Mate... the mate bond is nothing, you all think it's special but it's not, it's just a pathetic excuse not to be alone" she said.
"Are you alone now?" I asked, her face softened, if only for a millisecond, before it hardened like ice
"I am not alone, I have a family, friends, allies... even a husband waiting for me back home" she mumbled.
"Then why are you so hateful to Alexander?" I asked
"Because he left me! He treated me like I was nothing, pushed me aside for her!" she said angrily
"B-but he... he hadn't even met Sophie yet" I said quietly, trying not to rile her further.
"Exactly" she shouted, standing up
"If he'd met her I'd understand more, I'd get it, this so called mate bond, he would have at least felt something for someone else. But he didn't, he hadn't even met her!
So he left me for a feeling he hadn't even experienced, a mate he didn't even know.
He left us for the idea of someone else, anyone else, he didn't know what she'd look like, what she acted like, he didn't know anything about her" she let out angrily.
"He abandoned me for the promise of someone... someone that wasn't me... wasn't our family" she mumbled at the end, but I'd still heard her
"Then talk to him, tell him how you feel" I pleaded
"No" she shook her head
"I want to watch him break, I want to take everything away from him and watch his world crumble around him" she said, her face setting into a hard expression once more.
She sat back down, eyes staring forward as silence encased us
"Why did you leave Sin with him?" I asked curiously
She was silent for a moment, to the point I thought she was just going to ignore me.
"Because I was busy" she said
"Busy?"
"I had an empire to build, I had enemies after me... I had enough problems raising-" she cut herself off, clearing her throat
"It was time Alexander took responsibility for what he'd done" she said simply.
"What he'd done? Sin was a baby, your baby" I tried to get through to her
"He was an inconvenience, a result of the hurt Alexander caused me... little thing looked just like him" she said back.
An inconvenience?
"Do you even want Sin back?" I asked accusingly
"I do" she said
"Because he's your son or because it'll hurt Alexander to lose him?" I asked
She side glanced me once more
"Mind your pretty little head... before it gets blown off" she muttered.
The doors opened and she ceased talking to me any further
A girl walked in, dressed in black with dark hair and white strands at the front
She looked just like everyone else here.
Dark and scary
"They're here" she said.
Sin?
Sin's POV
"Drive faster" I growled
"I'm going as fast as I can" dad shouted back at me from the driver's seat
"Stop shouting at each other" mom said
"Stop shou- you shouldn't even be here" I snapped back at her
I was pissed off Bloss was gone, I was pissed off Warren's own gamma was a helping hand in it.
And I was even more pissed off mom and Toby insisted on coming along
"Don't shout at your mother" dad ordered
"Just drive" I said sternly.
We drove for what felt like hours, and I couldn't help the nervous feeling sinking in my chest.
What if she's already hurt?
What if Narissa doesn't even have her?
When we'd finally got there, I couldn't help but stare
All of us did
At the castle like building... the guards surrounding the place.
The whole thing screamed Narissa
Dark... cold
They looked like they were expecting us, as the gates opened before we even got near
"She knew we were coming" dad mumbled, driving straight through and up to the building.
Was he fucking stupid? Now we're in, we're trapped.
"Don't look at me like that" he said, eyes straight ahead as he drove
"Like what? Like you just lost us any chance of getting out of here?" I asked.
"She knew we were coming... that means she's prepared, we were trapped the moment she had our own people on her side" he explained
I tried to remain calm, but the raging inside of me was clawing to get out
Kade was restless in my head, had been ever since Blossom was torn away from us.
"Right, stay in the car" I said over my shoulder
But as I moved to open the door I felt a smack up the back of my head, I looked back just as mom started shouting
"Don't you dare tell us to stay in the fucking car" she said, already getting out.
I groaned
For fuck sake, I got out as well, looking around at the guards
They were everywhere, none of them were armed, I'm sure Narissa only picked the demons with the most dangerous powers to guard her place, so they didn't need weapons.
"Where's Narissa?" Dad asked bluntly
"Are you Alexander Black?" A guard asked
He nodded once
"This way" he said simply, striding off into the castle, we followed him.
We were led to huge double doors, which were thrown open a moment later
Kade popped up in my head and I felt my own senses heighten
I could smell Blossom
When the doors were finally open, my eyes found her.
My little mate, her hands tied in front of her and her little figure sat on the floor as her eyes connected with mine
Right next to Narissa's throne
I made a beeline straight for my Bloss, but I was pushed back by the guards
"Are you okay?" I asked, staring into those gorgeous blue eyes... even if they were close to tears.
She nodded, she looked so... fragile
"Talk to me baby" I said desperately, I needed to hear her voice
"I'm fine" she smiled, the first tears rolling down her smooth cheeks.
"Son" Narissa said, her voice void of any emotion.
"I am not... your son" I seethed, flicking my gaze towards her
"Let her go" I demanded
"Let's talk first" she said softly, eyes fixing ahead to mom, dad and Toby.
"Alexander" she smiled bitterly
"How lovely to see you again" she said
I watched moms grip on dads arms tighten, I could see the fear in her eyes
Why didn't she stay in the fucking car?
Whereas Toby just glared at Narissa.
"Narissa" dad greeted
"I see you brought the family... how tedious" she commented
"You're Narissa?" Toby asked curiously
"Yes" she said, face set in stone
Toby started laughing, actually fucking laughing.
The woman had my baby tied up and he was laughing at her
"You went for her dad... really?" He asked
"Toby" I snapped, he looked up at me, and quickly composed himself
He was still pissed off at me and dad, and yet he never passed up the opportunity to act like an idiot.
"I actually agree" mom grumbled
I sighed, trying to keep calm
This is why they needed to stay in the god damn car
Moms jealousy and Toby's stupidity was not needed right now.
"I've seen pictures, but I never truly expected you to look... so familiar" Narissa spoke up
"You haven't changed a bit" she went on, looking dad over
"Likewise... you're still chaotic" dad threw back.
She smirked
"You used to love that about me" she said, before her face dropped into fake thought
"Well... not love. You never loved me... did you?" She asked coldly.
"So what? This is all cause I never loved you back?" Dad asked
"No!" She shouted abruptly, hitting her fist against the arm of her throne
"I'm doing this, because I want you to hurt, it doesn't matter you didn't love me, what matters is the way you disregarded me, disregarded our children" she seethed.
"I didn't disregard Sin, I raised him... after you left him... abandoned him" dad shouted
Children?
"The way you abandoned me?" She asked in feign concern.
"Children?" I repeated out loud, confused
"What?" Dad asked
"She said children, he didn't ignore his 'children', Toby isn't yours" I said.
I kept talking glances at Blossom, just to make sure she was still okay.
Her face fell into a deadly expression, before she smiled. A soft sweet bitter smile.
"There's more than one" Blossom thought out loud, drawing all attention to her
"T-there's more than one child isn't there?" She asked, looking at Narissa.
She sighed, sitting back in her throne, before her gaze fell on me.
"And what if there was?" She asked in a petty voice
"That's impossible, we separated just as you got pregnant" dad thought.
"She's lying" mom said defensively
"Am I?" She asked airily
"There's another child?" I asked
"How?" I asked, looking at her, she said nothing.
"How?!" I shouted
"Oh come on, even you're not that stupid dear" Narissa smiled
Was I stupid? How could there be another child?
"Twins" Blossom gasped softly.
"Bingo"
I turned around, trying to find out who's the voice was
There was a girl, stood in the doorway. She had dark black hair with two stands of white at the front, framing her face
She had dark eyes and was head to toe dressed in black.
Her lips were painted red and she was smirking, leaning against the door with crossed arms
"Raven! I told you I'd deal with this" Narissa snapped
"Oh come on mother, you really think I'd miss the chance to meet my brother" she smiled.
"Brother?" Alexander asked
"Yeah... dad" she smirked.
Dad? Brother?
I- I had a sister?
