My dream is to make the demons in my head disappear
So that I can go to bed without shedding a tear
But I fear
That I'll always shed a tear
Before I go to bed
Because all the demons in my head
Whisper in my ears
All of my fears
Making my tears fall down my face
Filling up all of the space
Making it hard to breathe and see
Screaming for help
I realize there's no sound coming out of me
Not even the slightest whimper or yelp
Nothing could be heard
It's as if my voice became a bird
That flew up into the sky
Without even saying goodbye
But at least it became a free bird soaring up in the sky
And not a broken girl who can only dream of flying up high
Into the sky

So I may change some of the wording later on to make it fit better or I might just leave it as it is. Um this was a school assignment and I wrote this for it so I hope when the teacher reads this that they don't send me to the counselor's office because how dark it is. Also yes I'm reusing words because I sometimes run out of ideas or I just find that those words go well with the poem. Kinda. Yup.
(Weird fact: I haven't slept on my bed so far this week.)
