Blossom's POV
I felt horrible
My whole body ached as I tried to open my eyes, but the light in the room was too much
I groaned, moving around slightly
When I eventually adjusted to the light I could see I was in a hospital room.
I looked down at myself, I was under a blue blanket and Sin was by my bedside, holding onto my hand and laying his head on the bed
He was fast asleep, looking peaceful until his eyes screwed up every other second in discomfort.
I slipped my hand from his, and weaved it into his soft messy hair, massaging his head slowly
"Sin" I called, but my voice came out hoarse
"Sin" I said again, he stirred slightly, before looking up at me, eyes widening.
"Bloss" he breathed out, standing up and pulling my head to his chest, hugging me so tightly I could barely breathe
"Sin" I winced, the pain in my nose intense
"Shit sorry" he mumbled, pulling away.
"Are you okay?" He asked, looking me up and down
"Y-yeah I'm... I'm fine" I stuttered
"I'm sorry baby, I'm so fucking sorry I wasn't there" he rambled, sitting on the side of the bed.
"No it's okay, I just... I heard something, I should have got you before I went off" I mumbled, and I was right, I should have waited and got Sin to come with me
Instead I was stupid and I got hurt because of it.
"Why didn't you shift baby?" He asked
I looked down at my hands, I couldn't tell him
I couldn't
He'd hate me for not telling him sooner, or he'd go way over board and protective.
"I- I don't know, shock I guess" I mumbled
"Shock?" He asked
"I didn't know what to do, she grabbed my throat and threatened me... she... she wasn't a rogue Sin, she had no scent" I explained
He shifted slightly on the bed.
"What did she look like?" He asked
I shrugged
"Um... short blonde hair, green eyes, she looked a bit older and she was dressed all in black" I reeled off
"What did she want?" He asked
"I don't know, she said she was coming for you... t-that she'd be back" I mumbled
I watched his jaw clench and his body stiffen.
"What did she do to you?" He asked, his voice sounded strained at the mere thought of me being hurt
I took his hand in mine, offering a small smile to him, before it dropped as I replayed what happened.
"She um... she head butted me, and um... kicked me, a lot" I muttered, watching him grow angrier with every word
"Stay here" he said, standing up
"What?" I asked worried
"Stay here... I'll sort this" he said again, kissing my forehead before pulling away.
He was going to leave?
I grabbed his hand tighter and stopped him as he turned to walk away
"Baby-" he began
"Stay" I said, his face softened as he looked at me
"Stay... please" I begged softly.
He sighed and came back to sit by my side
"I'll have to sort it out at some point" he said, pulling me into his arms
"Mm... just not now" I mumbled against his shirt, cuddling into him.
I liked it when he held me, it made me feel safe and warm
And with the current situation, I didn't...
Some woman was after Sin, and I know he knows more than he's letting on
The way he reacted when I described her...
But I couldn't exactly call him on it, I wasn't telling him everything I knew either
The reason why I couldn't shift?
The secret I've kept from him since day one.
I... I was a white wolf.
A rare phenomenon that doesn't happen every day
I was... valuable in some cases, which is why Warren did everything he could to keep it a secret. To keep me safe.
I didn't like thinking about how Sin would react
It wasn't completely bad, a white wolf was something to be cherished and celebrated
But it didn't stop other wolves from getting... volatile.
Having a white wolf was very beneficial, and many would want to mate one for the pups, for the power it would bring
The title.
I didn't want Sin to reject me in fear of me always being a target
I didn't want him to accept it because then he'd have to carry my secret around as well
I just- I don't know what he'd say...
Sin's POV
When Blossom had finally gotten to sleep I left for the pack office
I hated leaving her, and I stationed 6 guards outside her room, as well as leaving Tyler and Lola with her
She wasn't leaving my side from now on.
It was all my fault she got hurt. My poor baby.
"Son" my dad nodded when I entered his office
"It was her" I said, sitting down opposite him
"We can't be sure of tha-"
"Bloss told me what she looked like, it was her. Somehow she got in... and she hurt my fucking mate" I gritted out, I could feel my grip on the arms of the chair tightening with every word.
How fucking dare she lay a hand on my mate? After everything that bitch has done, she thinks she can hurt my mate...
"We'll find her" dad said sternly
"Well find her fast, I am not letting Blossom get hurt again. Not ever" I said with finality.
"How is she?" He asked after a moment
"Good, I think, she seems... tense, scared" I mumbled
"She's in shock, she's hurt" he said
"I know that" I said calmly, standing up.
"Which is why I need to get back to her, she needs me" I said, not waiting for a response as I left, passing my mother on the way, she looked worried, that recognisable fear in her eyes at the very mention of Narissa being on our land.
When I get my hands on her she's gonna fucking pay, for hurting my mate, my baby...
She'll bleed...
Blossom's POV
I spent 3 days in the hospital, I wasn't even that bad, I just had a few bruises here and there, a massive purplish one right across my nose, spreading outwards like I was actually turning purple
I felt like Violet Beauregard when I looked in the mirror.
But Sin decided to assure me every other second that he still though I was the most beautiful girl on earth...
He also hasn't left my side since I had woke up from my nap in the hospital
He wasn't there and neither was Lola and Tyler
So I slipped out of bed to get some water
Which resulted in Sin bursting in and panicking when he saw I wasn't in the bed, then growling and pulling the alarm before he finally caught sight of me in the corner of the room.
Since then I've been practically glued to his side
We wake up together, we have breakfast together, he watches me all day and refuses to let me go to school until I'm better
Then he makes me food, insists on feeding me and then we go to bed together.
As much as I love spending time with him, and love the tingly feelings across my skin when he's around... I needed some space
So by Friday I convinced him to take a nap with me, and when he had finally drifted off, I slipped out of bed and got dressed as quietly as I could.
He needed some sleep anyway, he was running around so much for me when I didn't even need it...
Once I was ready, I headed round to Lola's house
I had spoken to her a bit at school but we've grown a lot closer since I was stuck in hospital for 3 days
And it's not like I had any other friends here.
Blossom's Outfit
When I got round there she was with Tyler, as usual, but she managed to shoo him out after a lot of persuasion and convincing to not go and tell Sin I had left
"Do you think he's woken up yet?" Lola mumbled, mouth slightly hanging open as she concentrated on painting her toes
Lola had that girl no one could get kind of look
She was pretty, blonde, bright blue eyes and an amazing figure.
She looked like the popular girl in the movies, the one the hot bad boy was always dating at the start before he fell in love with the nerdy girl
But Lola was sweet, she wasn't bitter or hateful, she was bubbly and overly talkative most of the time.
"I'm sure if he'd woken up we'd hear a growl louder than the whole pack land" I laughed, laying back and staring at the tv
"That bad?" She asked
"Have you seen me at all this past week without him by my side?" I asked, hearing her giggle.
"Okay fair point, he's just protective, it's cute" she said, I gave her a look
"It's like when I broke my leg, Tyler wouldn't let me leave the house, and anywhere I did go he carried me, he'd growl at anyone that came near me" she laughed
"And it wasn't even anyone's fault, I just got drunk and tried to ride a shopping cart down the road" she giggled.
I laughed at her, I'd never done anything like that
"I dunno I just... I just needed some air, it's nice that he's protective... and it makes my wolf roll over and drool for him" I rolled my eyes playfully
"But he won't let me feed myself, dress myself, I can't even shower without him sitting in the bathroom with me 'just in case'" I groaned.
"Damn he's got it bad" she laughed
"I know... it's just what mates do though right?" I smiled
"I dunno, he seems... way more fussy than most mates, he's been waiting for you for fucking ages" she mumbled.
I turned my head to the side to look at her as I lay there, question after question swarming in my head
"What was Sin like before we were mates?" I asked.
She looked up for a moment thinking, then blew out a breath
"Uh... violent" she offered
"He... he was unruly" she shrugged
"You've seen the bruises on kids at school, what he did to that guy that tried to flirt with you, he was a mess" she explained.
"Then you came along, and now he's only a mess when you're not near him, or when you get hurt" she teased
"Was he... was he ever interested... in other girls?" I asked.
She burst out laughing, falling back on the bed as I stared at her confused, her blonde hair flying everywhere
"Sin didn't tell you?" She asked, I shook my head, fearing the worst
He told me he waited for me... did he lie?
"Sin's had a crush on you for... fuck knows how long, he'd stare at you everyday and comment on what dress you were wearing and what ribbon was in your hair and blah blah blah" she laughed.
I couldn't believe it. He... he liked me before the mate bond?
"That's... so sweet" I mumbled smiling to myself
"Yeah, if you're into that cliche stuff" she shrugged
"You're not?" I asked
"I dunno, I prefer it when Tyler's rough and ready you know, the romantic stuff is sweet but the raw bare passion..." she said, eyes alight.
I looked at her slightly horrified, I didn't want to picture Tyler being 'rough and ready' with her, she seemed to get the hint when she saw my face
"What? You don't like talking about sex?" She asked, I looked down.
"It's not that I just... I just-"
She gasped, I'm sure the red had creeped up my cheeks
"You two still haven't?..." she trailed off, I caught on, and shook my head, earning another gasp.
"Oh my gosh, I know you haven't marked each other but you haven't fucked?" She asked, making me cringe
"Sorry... mated" she corrected
"No, we just... we haven't..."
"Hey, it's okay, different mates go at different paces" she said softly.
Ain't that the truth? Quinn's been with her mate for months and they still haven't mated
"How long did you and Tyler wait?" I asked curiously, hoping not to sound intrusive
She shrugged
"4 days" she said, making me practically choke on my own air.
"4 days?" I asked
"Yeah, we fooled around in the pack pool after hours an-"
Lola cut herself off from speaking as a loud growl was heard
A really loud growl
One that sounded really pissed.
"I think we may be in trouble" Lola commented, hearing a door bang open downstairs
I flinched at the sound, the floor shaking from the repercussion of the door
Oh no...
