Every single day,
I wake up to the dawn of the sun.
Every single day is a memory,
Every single action is memorable.
I wish I could gather them all,
And place them in a jar of memoirs,
A jar that would hold them all.
A jar not made of glass,
A jar not made of China,
A jar made only of love,
A jar made only out of compassion.
I meet hundreds of people today,
I may meet thousands tomorrow and everyday.
But oh, what if I meet no one thereafter,
Or only four soon after ?
I wish I could collect,
the experiences from them all,
Collect their memorandums,
And place them in the jar of memoirs,
The jar made of love and compassion and all.
A flower blooms to beauty today,
I wish I could place it in the jar.
The jar would keep it evergreen,
Today, tomorrow and ever after.
I wouldn't have to wander,
Into my brain, all day long.
I would just open the lid,
And go across all the memories,
Short and long.
I could wildly pick up one,
And lay it across my lap.
And sit and enjoy the day again,
And also the memory,
Again and again...
