Last game, Lena, you can do this! If you lose this game tonight, you'll feel like your failed! Next season is to far away! Faster!, Lena thought as she kicked the soccer ball towards the net, dodging other girls who were trying to go past her. She was tired, sweaty, but the feeling of winning was to over powering. Even, how would it look if she lost a game with all her brothers here? They'll mock her forever.
"Shoot! Shoot! Shoot!", she heard yelling from the bleachers when she was only a few feet from the goalie. She threw her leg back and hard as she could, she kicked it and the girl in the goalie looked nervous, but she tried to block the soccer ball from coming but messed it and hit the back of the net.
People cheered as Lena threw her arms up in the aid and cried with excitement. Her team won by five more points and she was excited. She was then knocked to the ground by her teammates and she chuckled.
After another proud lecture from her coach about, she left the girls locker room and the school building to go meet her family and Darien outside. When she walked outside, she saw little Nikki punching at Darien leg and Darien looked annoyed. She chuckled and when she got behind her nephew, she picked him and shook him a little, "What are you doing you little monster?".
"He gave me a funny look!", he said. "See, he's still doing it".
She laughed and put him down, "That's how he always look.", she said as he turned to her. "But don't worry, I'm trying to change that mean look to a happy one.", she said and Darien rolled his eyes.
She hugged all her brothers. Shay decided to make an appearance today to her surprise. He didn't want to miss out on her big win and she hugged all the girls. She then hugged her parents.
Darien then wrapped his arms around her, "Your brothers are trying to force me into playing football next year.".
She chuckled, "You don't like football?".
"No.", he said. "I don't like any sport. Please tell me this is all of them because your brother Shay's been giving me the look and--what the hell?", he said as he looked down at his leg to see three year old Ace scooping threw his jacket pockets.
Lena picked Ace up, "Where's my hug?".
He giggled, "I wuv you Auntie Lena.", he said as he hugged her and she was over took by cuteness.
She put him down and he joined Nikki.
"There is to many kids.", Darien said and she chuckled.

Darien sat on the steps of the porch as he watched Lena and her brothers all werewolf in the front yard as they wrestled. The boys girlfriend and wives were on the porch, talking and laughing. And the kids were all playing, buddle up in jackets near their mothers.
Darien couldn't help but feel a little bored. He didn't have anyone to talk to and he was to bruised up already to joined Lena's brothers in wrestling while they were humans. He watched the wolves, still finding it all strange. He wonders if there are any other mythical creatures out there like vampires and fairies. He almost snorted, Lena would have told him if their was.
He felt someone come behind him and he turned a little to see Lena's bother Scott's girlfriend wobble down next to him and sit down. She breathed out tiredly and put a hand on her stomach, "Be lucky you're a guy.", she said, chuckling. "So how's Rebekah?".
"Okay, I guess.", he said.
"I know we didn't get to talk much yesterday and I pushed on a kitten on you to take care of, but Lena told me about your past. I hope your not mad she did.", she said, fixing the beanie hat on her head.
"She did what?", he asked.
"Don't be mad at her, Darien, she wanted me to talk to you.", she said. "I use to know how you feel, my father wasn't great to me either. He beat me all the way till I was sixteen, always use to try and take advantage of me to get what he wanted. He didn't even allow me to talk to anyone, I wasn't' allow to talk unless spoken to. So I was quiet most of my life and people swore I was mute, but I rather have it that way before cause I thought was safer that way. We moved a lot, so I never had any friends. He made my mother so depressed she just completely went away with drinking everyday, always passed out and throwing up so it was my job to take care of the household, her, my father, and my baby brother. I didn't have much of a childhood.".
Darien bit his button lip and looked down at the ground. It was strange to talk to someone who actually know what he gone through.
"I always wanted to get away, leave, run away. But we didn't have much contact with the family and I thought they just didn't care about me.", she said. "And I didn't want anyone to take me away from my brother, he was really all I had who loved me.".
He nodded a little and sighed, "Ever thought you weren't made to be in this world? Thought you be better off dead?".
"Everyday.", she said. "But when I moved here, my whole life change. I met Scott, a guy who I never dreamed who want to be with me, be there for me. He gave me a family to love me, took care of me. But trust me, we had a hard beginning.", she said and he looked at her confused. "Lets just say, some people in this family just love holding grudges, a story to ask Lena. My father did something stupid and got sent to jail. My mom divorced him and went to AA. My fathers out of jail now, but I haven't had any contact with him since then and it took time to trust my mom again, but I did. Believe me, Darien, you just have to let go of all the bullshit and move on. It's what I did and now I'm happier then ever."
"I don't think I could just forget everything.", he said.
"That's just it, you can't forget everything that happens to you but moving on is the best thing, the past is the past. It's going to stay there, Darien. I'm sure you know how much of a great girl Lena is.", she said, smiling. "Look around, Darien, you got a family who willing to do anything for you, it's what they do. Of course some of the boys are hard on you, but that's cause their boys. Haley, she like to call them all the Barbarian Brother, which is true.".
"It's going to take a lot of time to get use to this family.", he said, chuckling and she joined.
"I know, I thought the same thing. I never seen a family as close as this one, but being wolves is what helps them stay together. But after awhile, it's going to be so normal to you.".
"Werewolf, who would have thought?".
"I know, strangest day of my life when I found out. Oh, also, never take Lena into a witch shop, they tend to freak out cause they know what she is. Believe me, I went into one before to get some candles with Scott and the lady freaked.".
"As if my life can't get any weird, there's witches and werewolves running around.", he said. "But I guess normal would be boring.".
Definitely.", she said. She sighed then, "Gosh, I cant believe Lena's going to be sixteen next week, she growing up so fast.".

Lena ran her thump against Darien hand, she was laying against his chest as he leaned on a tree. The woods is really the only place they could have privacy right now since everyone in the house and it would not be easy to sneak off to her room
"I saw you talking to Abigail.", she said. "How was it?".
"Pretty good, I like her.", he said.
She smiled, "Good. She's amazing, just like the other girls. I thought you to could have a lot to talk about also.", she said.
"She's opened my eyes. Anything that's ugly, turn into something beautiful. Like how a tree looks dead right now, but it always looks beautiful in spring with new leaves on it.", he said.
"I think someone should take up poetry, you were doing so good there.", she said and he chuckled.
"Maybe I'll write a book one day, my life is one big drama show.", he said. "How a beautiful girl came in and saved me.".
She giggled and turned to him, "And how that beautiful girl can turn into a giant wolf.", she said.
"I'll leave some details out.", he said.
She then kissed him, "I love you, Darien. Best thing that came into my life.".
"Not fair, that was the same thing I was going to say to you.", he said, grinning. "But I'm serious, Lena, you did change my life. In so many ways. I never thought someone could love me, how I am.".
"I'll always be here for you.", she said, kissing him again.
