I picked up my bag off the ground and looked around but he was nowhere to be seen. I shrugged it off and kept walking.
Now to look for the principles office
I aimlessly walked through the hallways. I spotted the large labeled door for the office. I twisted the door knob and walked in. A rush of cold air from the overhead AC hit me.
" Name ?" she asked
It smells like cardboard in here
" Ally.. Aliyah Peters." I replied
I really don't wanna be here right now
A curly haired boy walked out of the principle's office. His bright light blue sweatshirt made his face light up. His rosey cheeks distracted from his pale complexion. He's tall with brown eyes. He doesn't look like one of much trouble.
Wait I take it back maybe I do want to be here
" Richard !" The principle said
" Mom please don't call me that!" He replied
I giggled to myself
" Fine.. Ricky, there's a new student today I need you to show her around."
He looked up from his phone his eyes glancing in my direction. His irritated gaze softened. He smiled briskly walking towards me asking about my schedule. With each step his curls bounced.
"Hey, I'm Ricky. I'm a junior here.. what are you I mean what's your name.."
He said nervously putting his hand out for me to shake as he stumbled over his words
" Aliyah, Ali Peters."
"Pretty.." he muttered shaking his head and looking down
He stood close, I could practically smell the cologne. As pointed to 2nd period extending his arm across me and to the paper.
"I think we have chemistry together." He said softly with a small rasp in his voice
"I'm sure we do," I said out loud causing him and me to blush

He glanced over to me causing his bouncy curls to lightly touch my forehead. I felt his breath against my cheek. Man why does this school have so many attractive guys? Like come on did I land in heaven ?

Ricky's P.O.V
Another day at this school is another day I get away from my dad. But closer to my mom. I wish they'd just figure it out already. I'm sick of coming home to an empty house. Wondering where they are and realizing they'll never make up.
Since Nini left for acting school a year ago I don't think I'll find anything close to love.
Not in this town at least.. I just don't have the energy.

Oh come on seriously the full name .?! We've had this conversation so many times. It makes me sound like a fifty year old man.
I walked out of the office to see a girl shorter than me, dark brown hair, green eyes, freckles. Dressed like she just got back from a hot topic closet. Something about her clicked with me as our eyes met.
It's like the first time I saw Nini in the first grade. Not love at first sight but I just knew. I knew she was right.
"Show her around." my mom said
The girl smiled at me and I couldn't help but smile back. I stood close hoping to learn more about her. I can't quite explain why. But man is she pretty
My phone buzzed, I pulled it from my pocket. The screen lit up showing a photo of Me and Nini

And he has a girlfriend.. sweet
All hopes are lost
He quickly shut off his phone tucking it back in his jacket pocket. I parted from him as he led me to my 2nd period trailing next to me. Trying to start a conversation but I didn't bite.
"So what made you move here?" He asked running out of breath as he speed walked to catch up with me
"Divorce." I said quickly shutting up, today is horrible all ready and there is no way I'll make friends when all I'm doing is being snappy
" Me too." He said
His eyes reflecting his sorrow
I slowed down
" I'm sorry." I muttered
"Me too." He said with a short smile
He opened the classroom door
"Ma lady." he said smiling
I walked inside sitting at a desk. I plugged in my headphones to my phone, typed in my song, and started talking to Ricky
Luke's P.O.V
Oh come on princess you can do better than that.
Might as well have some fun with this? I walked towards her desk as she connected her headphones waiting for the class to start.
She typed in her song, but I switched it to Now Or Never on full blast. She practically jumped in her seat!
It's cute her whole face just flushes red

My music rang out my ears, Ricky stared at me in shock not knowing weather to laugh or pull the plug. I looked around spotting the boy from earlier in the corner

"One second I'll be back." I said to Ricky walking out of class into the empty hallway
The boy followed
"Aww, he's just too cute!" He said smirking at me
" What is your issue!" I spat annoyed with him
"I love when you're mad, you get this redness to your face." He joked
He looked at me confused
"You can still see me?" He asked as he circled me furrowing his eyebrows
"Of course I can? Why couldn't I?"
I asked through my irritation as I smacked his arm. But my hand fell through it, my eyes widened.
"What are you?" I said stepping back holding my hands to my chest
