𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐚 was in trouble, she knew that. Her father expects her to be the smartest person in the room, and in the year, all because she wasn't good enough to be in Slytherin. She supposes initially the desire wasn't so hard to fulfil, that was until dreaded Lily Evans entered the scene. Claudia was not usually one to dislike others, but in her life, it is either be the best or be in trouble.
𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 Lily starting to perform exceptionally well, and Claudia beginning to experience severe burn-out, her grip on the first place trophy begins to slip. With each grade, her grip loosens and her father's noose tightens. Claudia was definitely in trouble and her romance with traitor Sirius Black was not helping her get a grip.
𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 first place had slipped from her clutches, Claudia's father took things into his own hands. Claudia said bye to Marlene and Sirius, bye to her five years of relentless studying, bye to her freedom, and hello to Rabastian Lestrange. Because that's what happens when you are in trouble, you get engaged (or at least that is what happens to the sacred twenty eight).

- Claudia is pureblood ravenclaw like her mother who died when she was young, and father slytherin
- Fathers only desire is to be apart of the Sacred Twenty Eight, and hates Claudia for her similarity to her mother
-Claudia's best friend is Marlene and they have been friends with benefits before. Marlene helps her through her problems with her father and tries to get Claudia to move out and live with her
-She is a very serious person and rarely seen smiling unless it is because of Marlene, and usually only out of the public eye
- Because Claudia is a Ravenclaw not a Slytherin like her father wanted, he expects her to get 100% and be the top of the year for everything otherwise she is a disappointment. She finds it hard to get along with Lily for that reason, as they compete for the top marks
-Sirius has always seen her with Marlene and thinks she is attractive
-She takes subjects like Divination which is one of the only subjects she took in protest of her father

- After not receiving an "acceptable" mark she has a massive breakdown in the bathrooms and Marlene finds her and helps her through it
-Marlene decides to introduce her to all the girls to try and get her happy (Lily, Dorcas etc.) and they become friends throughout the year
-She also becomes close to the Marauders and Sirius tries to make her smile and laugh
- Its kind of a moderate burn between Sirius and Claudia, she tries to hide her smile and laugh whenever he is being stupid but he sees. He unconsciously smiles when she does things. He even tries to study with her so that he can listen to her talk passionately about Divination or Care of Magical Creatures
- That year she isn't the top of everything so her dad goes mental and asks the pureblood families to keep an eye on her and make sure she is on track
-Once school goes back they see her hanging out with Lily and Remus and report that back which gets Claudia in a lot of trouble
- Her father contacts her and tells her to stop associating with them "or else" and the Slytherin gang tell her they are watching her and she realises she is screwed
-Sirius and her have a fight because he thinks she is prejudiced against muggleborns and thats why she is not hanging out with Remus and Lily as much, and she gets really upset
- The next holidays she doesn't want to go back because she knows something bad will happen, Marlene insists for Claudia to go with her. When they get off the train Claudia sees her dad and turns to Marlene to ask to go with her but her father drags Claudia from Marlene when they are saying goodbye and she just knows something was happening
- Claudia goes home and is announced that she will be engaged to Rabastan Lestrange
- Rabastan in this isn't necessarily supportive of blood purity but will not stand against his family
-Once they were engaged, her father tried to make her drop out of school but Rabastan argues that he wanted a educated wife as an excuse to keep her in Hogwarts
-Claudia doesn't send or reply to any letters which is unlike her, so Marlene gets worried
- Rabastan basically just subtly protects her constantly from all the pureblood ideals, and even covers for her so that she can see Marlene
- He is the one who realised that Claudia and Sirius like each other
- Eventually Rabastan and Marlene planned as escape for Claudia and helped her run away from her family and she lived with Marlene
-Over those holidays she went over to James house and everyone was overjoyed
- I want an epilogue of sorts where Claudia sees Rabastan again and he got a wife who he loves and doesn't follow blood purity and they have a happy child

- I felt his character description was important because Rabastan's whole personality is essentially different in this
-Rabastan knows that the whole pureblood ideals are wrong and he personally doesn't believe them. He never actively seeks to insult muggleborns or any "lesser" people but he never backs them up or protects them
- He doesn't believe he would ever leave his family or the ideals, he thinks that his life is written for him and he will grow up and be arranged in marriage for bloodline
-However, after being arranged with Claudia he knows that he cannot sit idle and watch her life be written for her like his is, so he does everything he can to save her and give her a live of love
- Claudia doesn't understand why he doesn't do the same for himself but he just says that he accepted his fate and just hopes that the women he is married to does not enforce the same ideals onto their children
