I. RICKY BOWEN WAS dating Nini Salazar-Roberts, they had finally been reunited when she was accepted into a performing arts school. She decided to stay for a while to work on their relationship before making a decision to leave. They wanted to make it work long distance — Ricky wanted to make it work. He tried to but it was, indefinitely, over this time.
II. EJ CASWELL WAS still trying to find himself, something he thought wouldn't still to happen as a senior. Although, between juggling his college applications, water polo and theatre it was getting hard. Then the aggravatingly charming Ricky Bowen was added to the mix when everyone decided they needed to stop squabbling and become friends.
III. FRIENDS ENDED UP being a relative term when they ended up getting to know each other a little better than they wanted to. Ricky proposes they get over themselves and just leave it all in the bedroom but they both have issues to work out and secrets to keep. Like what had happened at New Year's? And why did Ricky and Nini really break up?

hey guys! thanks for reading my book. yes, it's another ej caswell friends-with-benefits story but it's staying in the hsmtmts world this time (rj, rj, rj!). in this story there will be detailed descriptions of sex, profanity and mild alcohol abuse. this book is mainly about a sexual relationship so if that upsets or makes you uncomfortable, do not read. it also is a bit of a slowburn.
in this story, there is canon divergence from what i assume will be season two and three. so, basically an alternate universe. if this story seems familiar, yes, it does. it's on ao3 with more chapters, but long story short, i'm reposting it here but with a different title because i know some hsmtmts fans don't use ao3. and, i want to be able to share it here because wattpad is my favourite! however, this version is more edited and a little different plot wise (barely, though, don't worry). so, welcome back if you've read before, and don't be scared to reread :)
