THE WEEK OF THE musical came around, and it was Tuesday afternoon when Ricky got his math test back. He'd gone out of his way to find a special someone, after third period, running down the halls, flapping around a sheet of paper with a big red mark slapped on it, shouting, "I got a C!"

"Ayee!" EJ caught him, groaning as he practically leaped into his arm, falling back a little because of his weight. The senior spun him around, gripping his upper back, supporting him when he started to slip out of his hands.

"It's not an F!" Ricky smiled ear to ear.

"It's not!" EJ laughed, slapping him on the back. "I knew you could do it!"

"Yeah, thanks to you." Ricky looked at him, eyes fluttering about, focusing straight onto his lips. He watched Ricky lean in a little, before his eyes darted around the room like he remembered where they were. The junior pulled back, placing a hand on his shoulder to hold it firmly. "Um...I'll see you later."

"See you." EJ gripped him by the torso again, just to whisper, "Come by so I can congratulate you properly..." Ricky grinned, chuckling when his lips tickled the back of his ear.

Marcus made his presence known again, coughing loudly so that they separated and turned towards him. The other senior rolled his eyes, scoffing, "What?"
