"Thanks for the lift" I exclaim to Elena as we stop in front of the boarding house. I still need to stop by the house and pick up my car, still haven't gotten to it yet.
"No problem. Besides I want to speak to him" Elena says rubbing her palms together. Elena gets to the door before me and rings.
"It's open come on in!" Yells Lexi from inside. Elena frowns and we go in. We turn to see Lexi in a goal, her hair damp and wet. "Oh my god" She says backing up.
I frown. "Ariel- Uh, I- who?" She says shocked by Elena.
I walk over to Lexi and stand next to her. " this is Elena" I say motioning to Elena.
"Who are you?" Elena asks.
"Lexi, friend of Stefan's"
"Is he here?" Elena asks,
"He's in the shower. Um, do you wanna wait?"
"No" Elena responds with a slight shake of her head. "I'll uh tell him you stopped by" I frown at lexis behavior. She seems shocked, by Elena. But why?
"That's okay" Elena says rushing off to the door. Oh, towel, wet hair, Stefan in the shower. Elena totally got the wrong message.
When she's gone at turn to Lexi. "What was that?" She doesn't say anything, instead she grabs my hand and she drags me up the stairs to Stefans room.
"Are you out of your freaking mind?!" She booms as we enter. I flush red to see Stefans bare chest as he puts on a shirt.
"What are you talking about?" He asks, confused. Lexi let's me go and walks over to Stefans desk and picks up a photo.
"I just met Elena" She explains.
"You have some serious explaining to do"

I stare at the picture in my hands in shock.
This woman, she looks so much like Elena, expect she's Stefan ex. From 1864.
"You have some serious emotional damage" Lexi says, popping her lips together while putting on her lipstick. "It's not what you think. She's not Katherine" I set the photo aside creeped out.
Lexi makes me turn in my seat on the bed, so I shift to face Stefan, her hands fly to my messy locks of hair. We were going to the grill to celebrate Stefans birthday and she was helping me get ready.
"Well then they're related cause they could be twins" I say, crossing my arms at Stefan. "I don't know" Stefan confesses. "You don't know. You-you didn't find out?" Lexi asks in disbelief.
"No. Maybe I don't wanna know. I have no desire to tie Elena to Katherine" he says with a clap of his hands. Me and Lexi raise our eyebrows at him.
"Okay, okay. The resemblance is what drew me in, but that's it. Katherine and Elena may look the same on the outside, but on the inside they are completely different"
"Oh so Elenas not a raging bitch then?" Lexi comments, handing me her compact mirror. I take it and hold it in front of me in inspect my hair. It falls in locks of curls with a small braid in the middle. I have to say she knows how to style.
Stefan smiles at Lexis question and sit down. "No. No Elena is..Elena's warm, and she's- kind and she's caring and she's selfless, and it's real" He says deep in thought as he lists the reasons why Elena isn't like Katherine.
"And honestly when I'm around her, I- completely forget what I am" He admits with a smile. I feel a small pang, and by sad I mean the smallest little stick, of sadness at his declaration. Wait? Why? "Oh my god" Lexi breaths. "Your in love with her" Stefan smiles like a kid,
"Yeah, Yeah I am"
