Jimin was...confused.

As he stared from his book-crazy friend to his witch friend, Jimin couldn't decide on what to believe.

"You..." Seokjin's lips moved soundlessly.

"How have you been?" Namjoon gently asked, taking a step towards the ogling witch and in that moment, it finally clicked for Jimin.

The human Seokjin had fallen in love with, the man who'd made the witch regret his past decisions...that was Namjoon?

Looking at the two of them, Seokjin still very obviously shaken, Jimin couldn't help but feel a wave of happiness.

Maybe Seokjin would rewrite his sad story now.

Maybe.

"Do you want some space?" he asked Namjoon. As the taller man nodded, Jimin gestured Taehyung and Jungkook to follow him and walked out of Seokjin's shop. A place he'd missed dearly.

"What do you make of that?" Taehyung breathed, amazed. "Honestly, that man is a dark horse"

Jimin agreed whole-heartedly. "He really is"

As they walked past the familiar road down to Hoseok's house, Jimin couldn't help the little bounce in his step. People didn't know that he was their king yet, which was a relief for he didn't think he could take the kingly treatment right now. He knocked on Hoseok's front door, waiting, hands clasped behind his back.

It was Erata who greeted him. She flung his arms around Jimin and welcomed him warmly. Jimin hugged back tightly. She smiled at Taehyung and Jungkook.

"Welcome to Elyxion" she said. "Let's have something to drink, yeah?'

Jimin giggled when a furry ball jumped right at him, demanding his attention as always. "Hey cutie, missed me?"

Taehyung of course cooed over the grey-coated cat too, and Mochi preened under the attention. As Hoseok bounded in, no doubt having been gardening and he at once took to Jungkook and Taehyung, chattering nineteen to dozen with them effortlessly. Erata bought them all lemonade, sitting beside Hoseok and sharing a quick kiss.

Jimin's thoughts ran to Yoongi at the simple gesture.

He wondered where he was. His fingers moved to curl around his necklace, only to gasp in despair.

The other four turned to him, silently questioning him and Jimin could feel a sort of petulance wash over him.

"I lost my necklace"

Only Taehyung seemed to get the implication of this, for he leaned forward to ruffle his hair. "Hey, it's fine"

"Necklace?" Hoseok inquired.

"Yoongi gave it to me" Jimin mumbled. "It's missing"

Hoseok and Erata shared a look before Erata spoke up. "We didn't see a necklace on you that day"

Jimin pouted. "This sucks"

As the witch leaned forward to pat his thigh, Jimin sighed. "Where is he? Yoongi, I mean"

Hoseok grinned deviously. "You'll see"

Jimin groaned, slumping back on the couch.

**

As the night drew nearer and nearer, Jimin retreated more and more into himself.

He missed Yoongi.

Everything around him was finally slowing down and building into a calmer picture, but Jimin missed Yoongi.

He wanted to talk to the man.

He wanted to make things okay between them. He wanted them to finally get back together. Or at least just talk it out. Anything was fine at this point.

But maybe he shouldn't get his hopes up. Maybe Yoongi was reconsidering their relationship.

Jolts of anxiety ran through him as he thought of this possibility. He didn't want to let go of Yoongi. Everything finally seemed to be unproblematic now. Even the obstacles that had been looming over their relationship like a darkened shadow. All that was left was the two of them to work it out.

He pulled his legs up on the couch, hugging his knees.

He wanted Yoongi.

It didn't dawn on him that Hoseok was calling his name until Taehyung poked him, throwing him out of his trance. Jimin blinked.

"Huh?"

Hoseok indicated at the front door. He had a Cheshire grin on his face that Jimin simply did not spend the energy to know the reason behind. "Could you get that? Teahyung was telling an interesting story"

Looking at Taehyung's confused face to Hoseok's grinning one, Jimin knew that it was such an obvious lie but at the moment, he couldn't care less. Desolately, he pulled himself off the couch to trudge to the front door, pulling it open with a sigh-

-only to come face-to-face with the man who was the very reason Jimin was in such a slump.

Yoongi held a bouquet of flowers that almost covered his face and it was such a bright confusion of colors that Jimin was momentarily blinded. He was abruptly remembered of the time Yoongi had apologized to him, with a bouquet of flowers, much like this. His lips stretched up in an involuntary smile at the memory. It was the first time the two of them had properly conversed.

Yoongi held out the flower bouquet to him, this time much more confident than the last time he'd mirrored this scene. Jimin accepted it, smile widening as he clutched the explosion of flowers into his chest. He looked at Yoongi wordlessly, eyes going over his attire- a form fitting suit and Jimin's throat dried up.

"I apologize for waiting this long for this" the Reaper said with feeling. "But I had a few things I had to get perfected"

"Oh yeah?" Jimin teasingly said. He couldn't help but swiftly give into the man's tactics. Jimin was, after all, majorly weak for a certain adorable Grim Reaper named Min Yoongi. "And what are those things?"

"All in good time" Yoongi grinned, but there was a hint of nervousness in it. "But I believe we have much talking to do"

"We do" Jimin nodded, heart finally at ease. Looking at the man in front of him, he was starting to believe that they would overcome whatever obstacle that raised themselves against the two of them. Sure, they were going to have a talk and maybe before, Jimin would have been nervous and sweating buckets at the mere prospect, but he was sure of himself now. "I'm not exactly dressed up for...whatever it is you're thinking up though"

"Oh you will be, my friend" Erata popped up beside him with a grin. She tugged Jimin inside, leading him further and further from the man Jimin yearned to be with. Before Jimin could even protest, Erata pulled him into a familiar room that Jimin had once upon a time slept in and thrust an outfit onto his palms. She gestured a couple of make-up products on the dresser and Jimin's eyebrows raised up.

"Where did you even-"

Erata huffed. "I'm a girl, if you hadn't noticed" she smacked his forearm lightly. "Now, get dressed up and talk it out with him. You got this. And I'll take this for now" she gently plucked the bouquet of flowers from Jimin and threw him one last grin before closing the door after her, leaving Jimin alone in the room.

Jimin shrugged, pulling himself into the clothes Erata had given. They quite fit his own sense of style- the flowing white top with sleeves that reached past his knuckles and tight black pants. He wondered briefly, who had gone out of their way to learn his fashion style as he pulled on the black chocker on the dresser. He eyed the various components of make-up on the dresser, regarding them with a critical eye (literally just an eye) before deciding that he'd just go with the lip gloss and a bit of blush. The eye liner would take ages to perfect and Jimin just wanted to be out the door with Yoongi already. Muffing up his hair so it looked nice and messy, he walked out of the room with a confident stride.

Taehyung yelled a, "Good luck!" as Jimin walked past them with an excited smile. As he walked to the front door, his heart started thudding in his chest. In a good kind of way.

Yoongi's eyes raked over him in an obvious way that had Jimin's confidence sky rocketing. The Reaper held out his hand with a smile. Jimin accepted it, and the two walked out of Hoseok's house into the twilight.

**

"We will have dinner later, if that is fine by you?" the Reaper suggested. "I want to take you over...to my place"

"Your place?" Jimin questioned. "It wasn't the cottage?"

Yoongi laughed quietly. "That was when I was in hiding" he gave Jimin a fond look. "This was the one I had before I got banished"

"Isn't that like, really old?"

"It is" the Reaper's eyes twinkled prettily. "Just like me"

"You're an idiot" Jimin wisely said. "And to answer your question, I don't mind having dinner late and I'd love to come over to your house"

Yoongi gave him his gummy smile that Jimin had missed so much. "Hope you don't mind the distance, though. It is in the Southern Division"

"We're walking there?" Jimin incredulously asked and Yoongi looked at him as if he were stupid.

"Yes Jimin, we're walking there" the man deadpanned. "Obviously not. Would I make a man as lovely as you walk such a distance?" his lips curled into a smirk that had butterflies swirling in Jimin's stomach.

"Idiot" Jimin huffed. "Let's get going, shall we? I don't know about you, but I have a super old house I want to visit"

As Yoongi's laugh rang out, Jimin couldn't help but smile widely. The Reaper opened a portal, indicating Jimin to go first. Jimin obliged, jumping in and landing on a patch on grass. He glanced around, taking in the immaculate garden full of flowers of various different colors. Yoongi appeared by his side.

"Welcome," Yoongi grandly said. "To my humble abode"

**

"This is your idea of a humble abode?" Jimin scoffed, taking in the grand interior and all the antique furniture lying around. Pictures were hanging at regular intervals along the wide corridor. Everything about the house- well, mansion really- did not scream humble.

Yoongi shrugged, modest. "It was a figure of speech"

"I think I've mentioned this before but you, Min Yoongi, you are an idiot"

"I think you've mentioned it a couple hundred times" Yoongi played along. He pulled Jimin forward, almost dragging him. Jimin followed blindly.

When Yoongi threw open a door to reveal a huge room, lined by wide bookshelves on one wall and a white grand piano in its center, Jimin's eyes lit up, astonished.

"You're going to play for me?" he asked excitedly. Yoongi nodded. He led Jimin to the wide stool, pulling it back and gesturing Jimin to sit on one side. Yoongi slid in next to him, resting his fingers atop the white keys.

"Not just any song" the Reaper murmured. "This is a song inspired by the boy who helped me escape the darkened cell that was my life" Yoongi's eyes locked with Jimin's. "A person who showed up an ended my agony. A person I did not cherish properly, even though I thought I was loving them the way they deserved to be loved" before Jimin could do more than let his eyes fill with tears, Yoongi started playing.

The melody he played spoke of something so utterly beautiful, Jimin could not believe that it had been inspired by him. The notes rang out clearly and yet so softly, illuminating the delicacy that perhaps, Yoongi saw in him. And for the first time, Jimin could feel how Yoongi saw him: a sweet and honeyed soul with soft words and grace; A person with an aching heart to help others.

Tears flowed down his cheeks because he'd never felt so loved before. Never like this. Never in a way that made him feel like he was a perfect creation of God.

As the moonlight streamed into the room, Yoongi continued playing the melodies he'd constructed upon his own opinion of Jimin and Jimin couldn't have been more in love. His heart was ready to burst out of love with how much love he felt for the man beside him.

When Yoongi's fingers halted on the keys, finally ending the piece he'd poured his heart into, he turned to Jimin, eyes full of love and reverence.

"You were right, Jimin" he murmured, voice thick with emotion. "I treated you as your past life, but you deserve so much more. You deserve so much more than that. Like you say, I am and idiot. You deserve to be put up on a pedestal and loved deeply. I am sorry for taking you for granted. More sorry that you would ever know, and I will let you know, that if I'm lucky enough to be allowed to love you again, I will love you to the best I can. I am still learning Park Jimin, but if you let me, I will do my utmost best to correct myself and show you a better version. I've thought about what you've said so many times, Jimin and there is so much more I want to tell you, but for now, I will stop with this"

And Jimin was so awed. Both by Yoongi's words and Yoongi himself. His voice came out as nothing but a whisper when he said, "I forgive you, Yoongi" he took a deep and steadying breath. "And I'm sorry too, I've also done some stupid things"

Yoongi scoffed. "As if" his hand raised, as if to cup Jimin's face but he paused, unsure. "Can I?"

In lieu of an answer, Jimin leaned forward, pressing his lips firmly against Yoongi's own.

And He'd missed this. He'd missed having Yoongi's lips on his, claiming Jimin's as his own and whispering phrases of love right onto Jimin's lips.

He'd missed being loved by Yoongi.

When Jimin pulled away slightly, to look into Yoongi's eyes glistening with an unreadable emotion, Yoongi's hand reached forward to cup his face, thumb running over Jimin's cheekbone.

"I love you, Park Jimin" he murmured, voice rough. "I love you so much. I am so in love with you, it's insane. I love you"

Jimin let out a wet chuckle at the declaration, heart pounding in his chest. "You too" he smiled. "I love you too. A lot. So much"

As their lips met for a second time under the moonlight, Jimin wasn't sure if he ever wanted to pull away. His hands fisted in the Reaper's suit as Yoongi slowly deepened the kiss. Jimin whined, leaning forward until Yoongi broke it off with a small smirk. Jimin huffed.

"We might want to get dinner before late, hmm?" his thumb stroked Jimins jawline lightly. "Besides my love, we have the rest of our lives to continue. We have a lot of time to perfect ourselves. And our love"

And Jimin's entire being lightened up with such happiness that he was so sure that he was literally glowing. "Yeah" he breathed out. "We have the rest of our lives for that"

**

It was likely that Jimin would have forgotten all about his friends until Yoongi had reminded him with a gentle murmur. Jimin gasped in horror.

"Shit, they need to get home" he exclaimed. The Reaper ran a hand through his hair. "How did I forget?"

"Surely they can stay the night?"

"Oh yeah?" Jimin asked. "Where?"

"Here" Yoongi deadpanned. "I have more than enough room for them. Besides, I had already invited them over for dinner"

"You- what?"

"Well, I invited Hoseok and Seokjin so no doubt they'll tag along too" he looked over at Jimin apologetically. "Were you hoping it would be the two of us?"

"Yes? But this is also very nice, don't worry" Jimin reassured. "I want all my friends in one place. And also, one question"

Yoongi hummed.

"You know Namjoon?"

Yoongi looked surprised. "Seokjin's man? Yes, I do"

"Well, he's one of my friends"

"Oh" the Reaper gave a sudden smile. "Maybe that will bring Seokjin back to his senses" he linked his hands with Jimin's own. "I will have the food laid out now?"

Jimin nodded. "I'll help too"

Yoongi leaned forward to kiss his forehead. "Thank you"

They worked side by side (Yoongi claimed that he had ordered food beforehand) and prepared the table for the meal. It was all very domestic that Jimin couldn't stop smiling the entire time.

"About being king" he broke their amiable silence with the nervous question. "How do I- you know that I have zero experience in this kind of thing, right?"

"It comes with practice" Yoongi reassured. "I'll help you in every step of the way"

"But on the side note, I'm still continuing college" the human firmly said. "I don't think my parents will take it well if I drop out without a career path"

"You could always tell them if you want, Jimin" the Reaper murmured. "As long as they won't tell anyone else"

"Is that fine?" Jimin inquired. "I don't know it just sounds...wrong, you know?"

"You do realize that humans weren't allowed on Elyxion because Fey feared her mother's release, right?" Yoongi shrugged. "There's nothing holding them back now"

"All the same, I don't think the whole of Earth should know" Jimin surveyed the dinner table that spread wide with his hands on his hips. "They could and would invade every bit of land they see. Mark my words"

Yoongi laughed, throwing his head back. "You sure do have a nice vision of your brethren"

Jimin just grins. "Yeah. I'll tell my parents later. Probably when I don't look like some teenager thinking that a bandage over one eye would make him look dope" Jimin expected a laugh at that, but Yoongi's shoulders slumped. Jimin reached over to pat his shoulder. "It's fine, Yoongi. You have to accept it someday you know? If you start feeling guilty every time I make a joke about it I mean...it's not worth it. Besides, I'm still here and that's what matters"

The Reaper pursed his lips, but nodded. "You are here" he agreed.

The two of them shared a sweet kiss.

"How are we going to start our work? As rulers?" Jimin asked. "Seokjin told me that the as soon as I return there's a lot of stuff to talk about"

Before Jimin got an answer however, there was a loud ringing that resonated through the mansion. He looked at Yoongi, asking a silent question.

"The front door" the Reaper answered. "It's time for dinner"

**

Dinner was, least to say, noisy.

When Jimin had introduced his friends to Yoongi, there had been a sort of stare-down between Taehyung and the Reaper, until the younger man had huffed and crossed his hands over his chest.

"One wrong move with my Chim and I will run over your ass with Namjoon's car"

Yoongi raised an eyebrow, but the corner of his lips curved up slightly and Jimin sighed, embarrassed by his friend's overprotectiveness. He nudged them all along to sit down at the dinner table hastily. Before any further death threats were made.

"And Namjoon-hyung" Jungkook abruptly called, taking in how both Namjoon and Seokjin turned towards him at the call. "You owe us an explanation"

Jimin and Taehyung pitched in with this, even though Jimin knew the story. He'd love to hear Namjoon's side of it and learn what had made the man fall in love with the witch.

There was a light blush on the taller man's face, but he began to talk in his quiet voice. He always had had a way of capturing an audience with his story telling and right now was no exception. As he got to the point where Seokjin had told him that they were better off separated, the whole group (minus Yoongi) shot Seokjin petulant glares.

Namjoon gave an adoring smile to the witch. "I forgot about his name and everything after that. But I always knew there was something missing. So I'd been wary of making new friends" Jimin sucked in a sharp breath at that. So that's why Namjoon was the way he was, always expecting his friends to leave him behind. "but when Jimin explained what had happened and how there had been a witch named Seokjin...everything just suddenly came back"

"Which should be impossible" Yoongi put in. "Since I'd put a really strong memory erasing spell on you"

"Love defeats everything" Hoseok wisely said. "And now that everyone's paired off happily, what do you say about getting on with dinner already? The chicken is begging to be eaten"

"One more thing" Seokjin said. "I'm planning on finding a reverse spell to my immortality"

Jimin gasped, speaking for when all he breathed a, "Those exist?"

"Who knows" the witch shrugged. "But if there is, I plan to hunt it down to the ends of both worlds and find it out"

As they all cheered then witch's determination, Namjoon and Seokjin leaned closer for a kiss.

With much laughter and clanking of plates and glasses filling the air, the night progressed into a forming a lovely memory in Jimin's mind.

**

Jimin was still getting used to the whole idea.

"So the coronation will be held about three weeks away from now" their advisor, an old angel with the name of Shizui, summed up.

Yoongi gently squeezed his hand comfortingly. "Yes. On the 8th of October"

"Will you have the palace renovated, your Highness?"

"Most probably, yes" the Reaper said. "How will that happen?"

"We can appoint some designer witches to decorate the palace as per your wishes" Shizui informed. "We can have a few others on designing the coronation" Yoongi nodded his consent and Shizui read through his notes again.

"How will we be appointing the members of the council?" he inquired.

It was then that Jimin perked up. "We're going to have to rebuild the entire system"

Shizun glanced at him. "How do you propose to do that, your Highness?"

Jimin still wasn't used to the prospect of being called that- wondered if he ever would get used to it-as he replied. "The ones who supported Ajax, we can't have them anymore. Depending on who they're loyal to now, of course. And we need representatives from every division" his voice cracked with nervousness. Yoongi squeezed his hand. "And I would also love to tend to the Eastern Division more. The Seelies deserve to live just as everyone else. After we're done with making the council, the first thing we need to work on is that"

"And the constitution" Yoongi added. "There are so many laws that are unnecessary, mostly put by those who wanted some sort of revenge"

Shizun nodded. "Very well, your highness" he peeked at the sheaf of papers in his hand. "What about the positions of the heads of the council?"

Yoongi and Jimin glanced at each other. Then Jimin spoke up. "We'll need some time to figure that out"

"As you wish" Shizun bowed. "I will send our head designer over this afternoon"

The two of them nodded. As the old man left the mansion, Jimin heaved a sigh of relief.

"This shit is hard" he groaned. "I don't think I'll ever get used to it"

"You will" Yoongi promised. "And from what I can see, you'll be an excellent ruler Jimin"

"Nonsense" Jimin glared. "I'll be so bad at it, people will vote me out"

"Not with that heart of yours, no" the Reaper reverently said. "People here have longed for a change that would give them a happier life. And you, you are keen on giving them just that. They will not vote you out any time soon, my love"

Jimin blushed. "You're just biased"

"The others would say the same too, Jimin" Yoongi argued.

"You're all biased"

"Highly unlikely, seeing that they each have their own person to be smitten for"

Jimin giggled at that. "Yeah, true. You have a point"

They quietened down, Jimin snuggling in between Yoongi's legs to lean against his chest. Everything was so peaceful and quiet, at the back of his mind Jimin was actually wondering if this was just another dream of his.

"You know," Yoongi quietly started. He wrapped his arms around Jimin tightly. "Remember when I told you that there was a chance of giving up the spirit and becoming human again?"

Jimin hummed lazily.

"Well, when I found the library you told me to find in the letter to find out that spell, I realized that it was its own world of knowledge. Hundreds upon hundreds of books full of ancient magic that no one had read in ages" Yoongi leaned down suddenly to press a kiss against the shell of Jimin's ear.

"That's nice" Jimin commented. "Still can't believe you found the library though. It was basically me being desperate for hope"

"It was ingenious of you," Yoongi gently countered. "to remember the library we never found before, in the Nyx ,and tell me that through a letter"

"I just remembered you saying something about it having a lot of spells that Elyxion had forgotten" Jimin admitted. "It was my only hope"

"And I'm so proud of you" the Reaper murmured and Jimin couldn't help the burst of feeling inside of him. "Anyway, as I was saying, I realized that maybe we could find the spell to give up the souls. It might take us ages to read all the books, but if we ever feel like it..." he looked at Jimin with a smile. "We could always let go of our titles and live on Earth again. We can grow old together"

Jimin didn't honestly know how he could handle the amount of love inside of him. It threatened to burn him. He settled on twisting in Yoongi's grip and kissing the man. Hard. Where words could not be sufficient, actions would always do the job.

"I love you" he whispered as they parted. Yoongi smiled.

"I love you too, my love"

And Jimin knew still had a lot to do. He had college and a coronation to attend to. And an entire world to rebuild. He had friends who needed happy endings to their stories. There was so much to be done, but under the bright moonlight, It seemed as if the last piece of the puzzle had finally fallen to place and now, under the promise of forever, Jimin's picture was finally and utterly complete
