I fling the bathing room door open as I hurry to the sink. The water rushes from its opening and I meet eyes with my reflection. My gaze automatically locking with the traces of the paint smeared on my face. Without warning the heat begins rising again at thoughts of his skin on mine.
The sound of the water break through the fog swirling around my mind and I blink back into the here and now. Sticking my hands under the water I scoop some up and splash my face. The remaining paint is now erased from existence.
I fidget with my hair momentarily and quickly make my way to the door. My steps echo off the walls as I hurry.
As I turn the corner, I see him. Standing just outside the dining hall door like he said he would. His black hair hangs free from its usual tie and paired with one of his suits does nothing to calm my restless heart.
I smile shyly as I approach "Hi."
"Are you ready?"
I nod and take his outstretched hand. Our fingers intertwine and the electricity links us, flowing from one to the other.
