"Oh, what a mess I'm in,"

"Long before time had a name, the First Spinjitzu Master created Ninjago using four elemental weapons. But when he passed, a dark sought to collect them all: Lord Garmadon. So, I, Sensei Wu, his brother, sought out to find four ninjas to collect them first,"

(Second Person P.O.V.)

"Fire strike! Oh, my gosh, is that the greatest move you've ever seen?" Kai shouted as the Ninjas played a video game. You glance up from your phone, considering checking in on the boys before returning to your game.

"Stop trying to do it yourself. We need to attack as a team," Cole ordered, though you wonder who he was talking to.

"Zane, why are you wasting your special attack on me? You have to save it! Fantastic! I'm out of lives!" Jay complained. You chuckled, noting Sensei Wu searching for the boys and deciding to tag along; you guided him to the room the boys were in.

"But the lesson lives on, and I am getting the hang of it. Hee-yah!" Zane continued. As the Ninja continue their game, they don't notice Sensei Wu unplugging the television.

"Okay, now!" Cole shouted, only for the scream to turn black. "Aw, man!" Cole whined.

"What? What happened?" Jay demands. The boys notice Sensei Wu standing next to the television with the plug. Noting the pizza box, you quickly grabbed a slide.

"It took us three hours to get there!" Cole bellowed.

"Why would you do that? Why?" Jay added an irritated expression on his face.

"Just because Lord Garmadon escaped through a vortex doesn't mean he won't return one day for the golden weapons of Spinjitzu," Sensei Wu verbalized, offering his students knowledgeable words.

"But Sensei Wu, since he's been gone, Ninjago has had nothing but peace," Zane counters.

"Yeah, peace is boring. There's no one to save. There's nothing to do," Jay added, hoping they could return to their game.

"Jay, you rather have Ninjago be attacked than for it to be in peace?" You wonder, raising a brow at him. Jay shrugged. "You'll regret saying that one day," You utter.

"We can train tomorrow," Cole exclaimed, lying down.

"Never put off until tomorrow what can be done today," Sensei Wu advises.

"I got to remember that," you utter, snatching another slice of pizza.

"Well, I was gonna eat this pizza tomorrow, so if that's the case..." Cole began bringing the pizza to his mouth only to be kicked out of his hand. "Ow!" Cole howls, and you laugh, letting Sensei Wu continue.

"No pizza for you!" Walking over to you, he snatched the pizza from your hand. "Neither for you, Y/n," Sensei Wu walks back in front of the ninjas.

"But what have I done?" You pouted, glaring at the wall like it had done something wrong.

"To reach your full potential, you must train," He advised, gesturing to no one.

"Uh, remember when we did a little thing called the Tornado of Creation?" Kai commented. "I thought that was pretty insane,"

"Oh. You four have merely scratched the surface of your full potential. There are still so many secrets you have yet to unlock. You haven't even begun to tap into what powers your golden weapons hold," Sensei Wu sighs disappointedly at his students. Deciding that this conversation is too dull for your liking, you walk out of the room, crashing into Nya.

"Y/n, Lord Garmadon is back!" Nya informs, causing your eyes to widen. "He was spotted approaching Jamanakai Village. We have to tell the Ninjas!"

"I'll meet the Ninjas at Jamanakai Village!" You grabbed your throwing knives, quickly rushing down to the Dragons Cabinets. "Hey, Adalinda!" You greeted your dragon.

Her scales appear to be wood, with light green leaves that take the shape of spikes on her head running down her tail. A few white roses decorate those spikes. Her wings, though appearing cute and weak because of their petal-like shape, were strong enough to destroy a town. E/c eyes are meeting champagne pink ones.

"Garmadon is back?" Adalinda question, you had never found it weird that you could understand animals (even if dragons are not animals, you consider them one). You had been able to since a young age; that should have been your first sign that you had inherited that. Yet what can a three-year-old know about the dangers of the world when she had just discovered that she could understand the cat that wonders around her garden?

"Come on, girl, we must get to Jamanakai Village!" Climbing onto Adalinda, you rush towards the village. "Why do they take so long? If Garmadon is back, they would not help much," You utter.

"I feel you; those dragons are also trailing behind," Adalinda comments as you get down. Soon enough, the four slow dragons touched down at the outer edge of Jamanakai Village, their respective Ninjas hopping off and immediately started to argue,

"Ha! I was second!" Kai exclaimed victoriously.

"Ha-ha-ha! My feet were down before yours!" Cole counters, rolling his eyes.

"Nope. None of you guys are faster than me!" Jay argued.

"You were all disillusioned! It was me!" Zane exclaimed; though he wasn't shouting, he was still arguing.

"Guys, you can fight who got here second, later. Right now, focus on the civilians!" You called, gesturing towards the sizeable group of people running in terror. Finally stopping their argument, the Ninjas turn their attention toward the sound of dark and evil laughter. The Ninjas walk in holding their weapons tightly, ready to attack "Lord Garmadon," as they were told. Channeling your energy ready to attack, you summon an emerald-green katana, staying close to the Ninjas.

"Stay sharp, fellas. Whatever happens, never let your guard down!" Everyone hears an evil laugh as Kai warns, bringing down his mask. Slowly, the shadow moved towards the ground as the laughter raised an octave. The laughter and shadow turned out to be owned by a young boy wearing a black sweater with a ribcage printed, a hoodie concealing his golden-blonde hair. Quickly realizing that this wasn't Lord Garmadon, you stood down.

"It is I, Lloyd Garmadon!" A young boy shouted, jumping on top of the fountain.

"Lloyd Garmadon?" Jay asks the rest, lowering his Nunchucks.

"I demand all the candy in town, or else!" Lloyd shouted, reaching the central fountain in Jamanakai, standing on its wall, and gesturing toward the villagers, who had all left their homes to investigate.

"I thought we were gonna face Lord Garmadon," Jay whined, causing you to hit him in the head.

"It's his son," Cole stated, rolling his eyes and quickly dropping his defensive stance, causing Jay to sigh. "Looks like he escaped his boarding school for bad boys again. And to think we could've been doing Spinjitzu already," Cole added, walking over to the young boy.

"Lord Garmadon has a son?" You wonder, your empathy quickly spiking up. You know what it's like when your parents have been forced to leave you. You wouldn't wish that on anyone, no matter how twisted or evil someone is.

"Seems so," Kai mutters.

You suddenly started to feel extremely bad; if Lord Garmadon has a son and he's not here at the moment, who the fuck is taking care of that child?! Judging from Cole's statement, Lloyd goes to a "boarding school for bad boys." Where was his mother? You knew for a fact that Lord Garmadon wasn't going to be there for Lloyd, but what about his mother? Did she die, or did she abandon him? Doesn't he have any other relative that he could stay with?

"Uh, give me your candy, or else I'll release the Serpentine on you!" Lloyd shouted, attempting to frighten the villagers. The villagers start booing him. First, a carrot was thrown, then a tomato, and soon enough, the crowd began throwing vegetables at the poor boy. Lloyd attempts the old rubber-snakes-in-a-can trick on them, but naturally, it doesn't work. In response, they start throwing vegetables at him. "No way! I asked for candy, not vegetables! I hate vegetables!" Lloyd grunts, trying to dodge the vegetables the villagers throw his way. Rushing over to the young boy, you quickly created a mint green barrier.

"Are you okay?" you ask, turning towards the boy and checking for injuries.

"Why are you helping me?" Lloyd immediately hissed. "I'm Lloyd Garmadon, son of Lord Garmadon, future evil ruler! You should fear me!" The young boy shouted, stepping back.

Hesitating for a moment, you quickly composed yourself. "Don't worry about that. I'm scared, but I want to ensure you're okay. Because no matter if someone is evil or good, no one, and I mean no one, should be treated like they are treating you," Okay, so the first part was a lie, but you wanted to make sure that he was okay. There must be a reason why he's acting like this.

"He's gonna have to do much better than use an old bedtime story to scare people," Kai stated. You roll your eyes at Kai's ignorance.

"The Serpentine is real, Kai. They're not something to joke about," Zane explained; Kai rolled his eyes.

"Serpentine? Real? We're talking about the ancient race of snake people who once ruled Ninjago and were supposedly locked underground," Kai retorted. You lower the barrier as everyone else carries out with their lives.

"I mean, you never know. Besides, I remember my nannies mentioning them a few times," You declare. Perceiving Cole's smirk, you quickly regretted ever mentioning anything. "Bring the nanny part up, and I'll double your taxes; don't doubt my power,"

"What is your fixation on taxes?" Cole queries, earning a shrug.

"Sealed in five different tombs to separate the warring tribes and ensure they don't unify to exact their revenge upon those who put them there," Jay whimpers. You couldn't help but scoff. If the Serpentines ever escape, they will have all the right to be mad. No, they have the right to conquer and destroy Ninjago. And honestly, you wouldn't mind, but you care about the people here; they were your people. However, some should revalue their morals.

"It was an old wives' tale to teach kids not to poke our noses where they don't belong. Don't you think it's a little suspicious no one's ever found one of their tombs?" Kai claims, still unconvinced, that the Serpentine was real.

"Well, that's because you'd be a fool to look for one. If there was anything I hated more than dragons, it was snakes—rubber or not. Don't worry, folks, we'll take care of this. Nothing to see here," Cole exclaimed, grabbing Lloyd, who hit Jay with the can. You laugh at the interaction between the four teenagers and the young boy.

"Cole, could you–"

"Bow down to me or suffer my wrath! I'll give you the count of three! One! Two!" Lloyd demanded, trying to get out of Cole's grip. You knew that was almost impossible. Even if they weren't at their best, Cole remained strong.

"Guys, stop!" You shouted, having enough. "This isn't how we should treat people,"

"C'mon, Y/n," Kai laughed, "He's a spoiled brat who thinks he can be Lord Garmadon. Besides, what are we supposed to do? Spank him?" Kai inquired.

"Kai stopped it. Regardless of who he is or who his parents are, no one deserves to be treated like this," You argued, starting to get annoyed with the Fire Ninja.

"Two and a half!" Lloyd screamed. You watched as the Ninjas hung Lloyd on a sign with food under him. The villagers laugh at Lloyd as Zane buys candy for him and his team. You couldn't help but get mad; these teenage boys were making fun of this little kid. "You just made me your nemesis! Mark my words, you'll pay for this!" He points at the Ninjas as they laugh.

Summoning Adalinda, who quickly attacks the four Ninjas, helping Lloyd down. Lloyd, who quickly understood what happened, immediately fled the scene.

"Y/n! What the fuck was that?!" Kai shouted, standing up and glaring at Adalinda. "You need to learn to control that pet of yours!"

"Pet?! Adalinda is not a pet! What if I were to say that Flame is just a pet!" You argued, your anger flaring as the second passed by. "Besides, you can't treat people like that, especially not young children. And before you start with the whole 'but he's the son of Lord Garmadon,' think about what he's been through. How do you think it feels having a father and possibly a mother who are absent? He is most likely– no, he is going through the trauma that he doesn't even know how to handle!"

"But what would you know about trauma? Little princess, huh, tell me?! What's your trauma, losing your favorite toy or breaking a nail?" As soon as those words left Kai's mouth, silence washed between all of you. Immediately realizing what he said, guilt washed over his face. "No, wait, Y/n–"

"Y'know what? I'm out of here," Your voice was oddly calm and soft, holding back tears as you walked away, Adalinda trailing behind.

"Wait, Y/n," Kai shouted, rushing after you.

Hopping on top of Adalinda, wishing for her to go faster.

"Stop!" Maybe it was Jay or Cole who called after you; you quite don't remember only commanding Adalinda to go faster.

"Where do you want to go?"Adalinda asks, worries and regret filling her ever-changing eyes.

"Home," You whisper; Adalinda speeds up quickly, reaching the ruins of what once used to be a beautiful mansion. Hopping down, you could see how everything once looked. The once dazzling white roses that your mother loved to plant were whither now. The golden butterfly that was engraved into the door was shining no more. The mansion was unrecognizable. If you hadn't lived here once, you would have never believed how beautiful and carefree this place was—walking around reliving old memories, recreating the mansion with your mind, passing through your mother's old bedroom, or at least where it should have been something caught your eye.

"What is it?" Adalinda appears next to you, well, a smaller version of her.

"I have no idea, but I'm surprised it wasn't destroyed with the rest of our home," You utter, slowly entering the room. Carefully walking over to the blueish color, you quickly grabbed it and rushed out of the room.

"So, what is it?" Adalinda wonders, eyeing the object.

"A handkerchief?" You responded though it was more like a question than an answer. Noting the golden roses, a lotus on each corner, the blood red and white shield, the silver sword, an orchid flower, and a crescent moon on it, you gasp. "This – this belonged to Mom," You utter, your voice barely above a whisper.

(Third Person P.O.V.) – With the Ninjas

After the incident with Y/n, the Ninjas returned to their dragons, mounting on their Dragons when Kai accidentally drops a scroll.

"Huh? I don't remember putting this here," Kai commented, confused and taking the scroll away from Zane.

"That Sensei's bag. You must've accidentally taken it in a rush," Zane concluded as Jay approached the pair, and they all watched Kai unroll the scroll to see what was on there.

"What is it?" Jay wondered as Kai examined it.

"It's a scroll, windbag," Kai explained, looking up.

"I know it's a scroll. But what does it say? It's written in chicken scratch," Jay complained, looking at the unfamiliar writing and runes on the parchment paper as he stood on Kai's right side while Zane stood on Kai's left side examining the scroll.

"It's not chicken scratch, Jay. That's the language of our ancestors," Cole enlightened, glancing at the scroll. "Y/n show me some scrolls like these; she claimed that she had come back home,"

"Cole is right. This is the ancient language of our ancestors," Zane explained. Kai and Jay turned to him.

"Uh, can you read it?" Kai wondered since Zane could probably make out something better than the rest of them.

"Well, I can try. This symbol means 'prophecy,'" Zane stated, pointing at the scroll.

"Prophecy?" Jay murmured.

"It means it tells the future," Kai explained.

"'Course. Haha. I knew that," Jay laughs nervously, causing Cole to snort.

"One Ninja... will rise above the others... and become the Green Ninja. The ninja destined... to defeat the Dark Lord," Zane translated.

"Oooh, look, a picture!" Jay gasped, pointing at the picture of the four Ninjas surrounding the Green Ninja.

"Dark Lord? Hold on. Do you think they mean Lord Garmadon? Wait a minute! Is that us?" Kai questioned as he looked at the scroll.

"Look, there's more. Alongside the Green Ninja, there will be another who will help him defeat the Dark Lord. The ------ will help the Green Ninja on his journey. She'll have powers like no other," Zane continued, unrolling the scroll more and reading what else there was.

"There's more to it, but it looks as though the rest of the scroll was torn," Zane said as he rolled the scroll out of the way and brushed his fingers against the harshly ripped edge.

"Is anyone else thinking what I'm thinking?" Kai inquired excitedly as he looked at the others.

"Like how good I'm going to look in green?" Jay boasted.

"Ha! Isn't it obvious I'm going to be the Green Ninja?" Kai argued; soon enough, the three boys started to biker until Cole scolded them all and got them ready to get back to the Monastery for more training. As the others headed home, Kai stayed back.

"Could I be the Green Ninja?" Kai muttered before climbing onto his dragon and flying back home.

Back at the Monastery, the elemental masters walk towards the entrance of the Monastery itself, as they had to leave their dragons first.

(Second Person P.O.V.)

"You know if you ever need me to bring my brother's ego down because I will, right?" Nya commented as she trained on the training course. She is doing well until she is hit in the face with the broad side of an axe, which sends her sprawling to the ground.

"That got to hurt," You utter, remembering the many times you had been hit. "And, no, he can be an ass at times, but I know that he didn't mean it," You argued, standing up from the floor, walking to check if Nya was alright.

"Hey, Nya, closer to beating your brother's speed record?" Jay questions his mask halfway off, helping her up.

"Ah. I'm getting there," She answered as Kai walked over to her side. "Heard what happened in town. Just a false alarm?"

"Yeah. Uh, but we're going to need the space. Sorry, sis," Kai informs Nya; you knew exactly what they planned on doing or at least had a vague idea. Cole walks over to a cabinet and begins pulling armor out of it. He tosses Jay a helmet, accidentally hitting him in the back of the head.

"Two matches, then the winners face off for the title. Armors for our protection. It's time to see what these babies can do," Cole declares, referring to the Golden Weapons.

"Hey, Nya, wanna stay and watch me mop the floor with them?" Kai asks his sister.

"Will you really 'mop the floor with them' or will they do that to you, porcospino [1]," You commented, walking alongside Nya.

"Ha ha, just you wait and see," Kai retorted

"No thanks," Nya began, "I think I'll just visit Jamanakai Village. Knock yourselves out. Y/n wanna come with?" She questions.

"I would love to," You respond quickly, smiling softly at Nya. "Please, don't hurt yourselves too much. I need you guys alive," The Ninjas simply nodded, watching the two leave.

"Wait, what did she just call me?" Kai realized a few seconds after you were out the door.

(Third Person P.O.V.)

They were walking back down to the Dragons Cabinets. Nya and Y/n mounted Adalinda, and before long, they were back in Jamanakai Village. They were strolling around the village, stopping now and then to buy anything that caught their eye—stopping at a stall and deciding to get some morocho [2] when cries and shouts arise, noting the people rushing into their houses.

"What now?" Nya sigh.

Glancing around, Y/n quickly notes Lloyd's return and that he has stolen all the candy.

"Take the candy! Take it all!" Lloyd laughed evilly – or at least tried – as the serpentines took the candy.

Y/n wouldn't help but roll her eyes while Nya is shocked to see that the Hypnobrai is with Lloyd as Slithraa hypnotizes the village.

"Nya, get to safety, and when you hear them rattle their tails, don't look them in the eyes. As soon as the boys get here, tell them that. I'm not sure how long I'll be able to hold them off," Y/n rationalizes quickly, pushing Nya behind some stalls. Jumping onto the roof, quickly finding Lloyd, clasping her hands together, she wraps vines around the Slithraa and Lloyd.

"Ah! Where did these come from?" Lloyd shouted, struggling to break free.

"That's enough, Lloyd; you are hurting these people," Y/n voiced, taking the staff.

"You may have to help me, but you're with those pesky Ninjas. Get her! And get the staff!" Lloyd orders, a swarm of villagers charging towards Y/n. Knowing that she couldn't attack them, she fled. Noting some non-hypnotized villagers, Y/n quickly created a mint green barrier shielding the villagers from any Hypnobrai. Some Hypnobrai were enclosing on Y/n; she smirked, sensing a familiar presence.

"Finally, you guys decide to join," Y/n zaps several snakes facing her teammates.

"Are you okay?" Zane froze the remaining snakes, rushing over to Y/n to examine her.

"Nothing that I couldn't handle," Y/n defended. "But we need to get these people to safety. Can you handle that?" Zane nodded, finding a safe spot for the non-hypnotized villagers.

"I'm never coming down from this sugar high! Woo-hoo!" Lloyd chuckled, pulling a cart full of candy, slightly shaking. Searching for Lloyd before finally finding him, the Ninjas landed before him.

"Sorry to bust your buzz, little Garmadon," Cole began, pointing his weapon at Lloyd.

"But it's already past your bedtime," Jay finished.

"Get them!" Lloyd instructed the General.

"Seize them!" Slithraa rattles his tail.

"The Serpentine? They're real!?" Kai inquired, shocked. A clump of snakes and humans launched toward them.

"Not, Kai, they aren't. They are a hallucination that we can all see," Y/n expressed, scowling in a fighting position.

"Now it's not the time for sarcasm, Y/n," Jay reasoned.

"It's not just them we have to worry about; the whole village has been hypnotized," Cole noted as the villagers marched towards them, forming zombie-like noises.

"Don't even think about it," Y/n advises, referring to Jay's weapon. "They are still far too unstable for you guys to use, and that could bring so much harm,"

"Y/n's right, we could do more harm than good," Zane says.

"I guess that leaves us with a run!" Jay shouted as each Ninja leaped onto a roof, trailing behind the other. Hiding behind a house, Nya hopped over.

"Oh, thank me! I thought you were hurt," Y/n mutters, hugging Nya as the Ninjas sprinted to the girls' sides.

"Me? What about you? You were unsure about how long you would be able to hold them off," She laughed, sending a smile toward Y/n.

"Huh, Nya. You're okay!" Jay smiled, overjoyed that Nya wasn't hurt.

"Barely. They've hypnotized everyone in town," Nya explains, a gloomy air enfolding her.

"Mind control. How is this possible?" Jay wonder.

"It's quite simple when you hear them rattle their tails, don't look them in the eyes because of how they control you," Y/n replied, reliving her and Tessa's daily lecture that would often discuss the topic of the Serpentines, memories coming back – memories that she didn't want – quickly she erase such memories knowing that she was in a grave situation.

"Well, what are we supposed to do? We can't use our weapons, and now we must fight with our eyes closed? Huh, perfect!" Jay complained, annoyed, walking away from the group.

"The snake with the staff is the General. He's the one in charge," Nya began. "All we have to do is get the staff from him; it holds the anti-venom. If we get that, we can save everyone," Y/n quickly understood what she meant.

"Yeah, easy peasy lemon squeezy. It's not like we can't control our weapons, and some folklore isn't controlling the whole village," Jay shouted, quickly hushed by Y/n.

"It shouldn't be much of a problem since Y/n already took the staff," Nya commented, glancing your way to notice that you no longer had the staff. "Where's the staff?"

"Uh, a funny story you're all gonna laugh – maybe not right now, but later – I may have lost it?" Y/n admitted.

"You lost it?" Nya repeated, unsure of how she was supposed to react.

"Yeah, I think it was when I was protecting those villagers, but who knows," Y/n shrugged.

"Great, that's just fucking great!" Jay complains. "You had one job, and you didn't do it right,"

"Shut up before I punch the shit out of you," Y/n warns, glaring at Jay.

"Look, guys. Forget about the whole Green Ninja thing. Let's make Sensei proud—the five of us. We're a team," Kai guarantees the team.

"Now you're talking," Cole yelled.

"Oh. And Nya, you can be our honorary member," Jay announced, bursting with pride.

"Gee, thanks," Nya muttered sarcastically, an offended demeanor clearly showing, but Jay didn't notice as he remained delighted. Y/n rolled her eyes, wondering how dense someone could be. Leaping back onto the roofs, each Ninja and Nya moved in different directions in search of the Serpentine.

"You wanna play? How about a little Spinjitzu? Ninja, go!" Kai fought the snakes with Spinjitzu but soon went out of control and crocked into the wall.

"Okay, we're really out of shape," Jay commented, observing from a rooftop, shaking his head in disappointment.

"Correction, you guys are out of shape, and you think?" Y/n retorted. "That gave me secondhand embarrassment," She cringed, noting Kai standing up and hitting two snakes in the face.

"Those pesky Ninjas are here, but they won't be a problem for long," Lloyd stated confidently. "Ha! Consider this a warning, Ninja!" Lloyd roared to the team, dragging the wheelbarrow filled with candy as he was escaping, which, mind you, he wasn't doing well. Zane stops him with his shuriken and approaches him using Spinjitzu. "Aah! My candy!" Lloyd whined

"Ninja Go! Sensei was right. Never put off until tomorrow what can be done today. We should've dealt with you the first time around," Zane realized.

"I should write that down so I don't forget it; I could use it later," Y/n told no one.

"Retreat!" Lloyd and Slithraa shriek.

"Go ahead. Give me a reason," The Serpentine starts running away, but Cole stops Slithraa by delivering a few swift kicks to the chest. The general drops the staff. Cole strolls over to the staff, picking it up, but Skales hypnotizes him.

"Look into my eyes. I control you...."

"You control..." Noting Cole in trouble, Y/n rushed over to his side, kicking the snake in the face and allowing Cole to regain control.

"Cole, are you okay?" Y/n wonder. "Hey, you have the staff!" She notes as he walks away.

"By golly, you're right!"

"Ha, 'by golly'? Who says that?" Y/n chuckled.

"Quick, the fountain!" Nya advised Cole to rush over to it.

"Good idea," Inserting the staff in the middle, they use it to spray the anti-venom on the whole village to cleanse the villagers from the hypnosis.

"We're sorry, Sensei. If we dealt with Lloyd before he became a problem, none of this would've been necessary," Kai apologized to Wu, looking disappointed in himself, as well as the others, who all shared the same heavy hearts as they realized they had a new enemy to fight now.

"Even lessons learned the hard way are lessons learned. Hmm...a great evil has been released. I fear troubling times will come. This is only the beginning," Wu admitted.

"Then we will train and be ready for the Serpentine," Zane began approaching Kai and Wu.

"It may not be Lord Garmadon, but that doesn't mean we won't bring our A-game," Cole finished.

"Help us train. Help us realize our potential," Kai begged.

"Yeah. Teach us the secrets behind the weapons of Spinjitzu," Jay declared, grabbing Y/n's hand.

"Anything that will help us protect Ninjago," Y/n expressed, smiling softly at Jay.

"Hmm...there is much to teach. We must return to the monastery," Wu disclosed as the group started walking back towards the Monastery.

"When am I gonna get my dragon?" Nya sighed, a dejected expression lacing her features; Y/n smiled at her, grabbing her arm around Nya's shoulder.

"Patience, Nya. Your time will come," Wu reassured her, glancing forward.

"Yeah, but it's not happening soon enough," Nya rolled her eyes.

(Second Person P.O.V.)

Standing in front of Wu's door, you sigh before mustering up all your courage, which, mind you, wasn't much, you knock on his door. After a moment or two, Wu opened the door, a shocked expression displayed on his features.

"Come in," He finally broke the silence, smiling softly at you and sitting down on the worn-out black leather chair, glancing out at the outside. Kindly accept the cup of lemongrass. "What bothers you, my child?" He softly spoke, following your line of sight.

"Wu, I must ask, am I ------?" Biting your lip, already knowing the answer. Yet a part of you, whether the insignificant child or the fearsome royal, wanted him to disclose that it wasn't you. That it was someone who wasn't born yet. Someone who knew what needed to be done. Someone, anyone that isn't you.

"I truly wish you had never learned about that," Wu sighed, discontent. "But it is true that the prophecy is about you,"

"Huh, I know deep down I already knew about it. It's just that it wasn't real; I didn't want it to be real. Wu, am I going to end up like Mom and Luna?" You acknowledge, tears forming. Wu sighs, walking over to a cabinet. He opens it, revealing a picture, and handing it to you. Noting the golden roses on the frame, you gasp. "I-it's this my mom?" Wu nodded.

"Yeah, is from when she was younger. As you know I have been friends with your family since before you were born. Luna, Garmadon, and I were the best of friends. This picture was taken when she was a few years older than you and had mastered her powers. I kept it for a while now, she is... she was like a daughter to me," he spoke smiling sadly at the picture.

You examine the picture, and there she was your mom or at least a younger version of her. She must have been around fifteen or sixteen. She was laughing, she wore a green kimono with golden highlights, and her hair was white at the top getting darker the more it went down until it was full black at the bottom, this must have been her rebellious stage as your father called it.
