Ever since the love letter fiasco. I find myself at Ryuji's house, eating breakfast with, Taiga, and, Yasuko which is Ryuji's mother which Taiga forced me to come even though i felt bad that Ryuji essentially had to cook for me too.
"More!" Taiga shouted holding her empty bowl of rice to Ryuji
"Coming up!" Ryuji said preparing to put more rice for Taiga and he realized what he was doing and look back at her
"Woah, hold on a minute!" he said
"What...?" Taiga asked while she glared at him for a second.
"What are you doing? Why are you two eating breakfast at my place, now?" Ryuuji questioned as he turned to his mother
"And you!, why are you acting like its normal?" he questioned her while she finished her drink
"Oh, it's fine. Taiga's so small and Saikawa's skinny so they really don't take up that much space. Besides, the more people around the table the better the meal tastes!" she said with a smile,
I kinda like that about her, Yasuko's very nice, (very airheaded) but nice. It makes me very warm inside i feel we're somewhat like... a family.
"What!" But I made more than enough! Ok how much more are you gonna eat?" he said to Taiga before anyone could say anything Inko (the parakeet) began squawking uncontrollably before it finally said "S-S-Sorry" before a clump of her feathers fell from her head
"This will be a long day" i thought to myself as i continued eating
We said our goodbyes to Yasuko, as me, Taiga and Ryuji started walking to school and Taiga was the first to break the silence between the three of us
"Seriously, Are you trying to make your bird go bald from all that stress? I mean it's ugly enough as it is." she said to Ryuji
"Don't call her ugly!" Ryuji responded defending his pet bird
"You know they say pets start to look like their owners after awhile," Taiga added i stayed silent due to the fact i don't want to join an argument in the morning no less
"What's your problem? I made you breakfast and lunch! So how about a little gratitude?" Ryuji grumbled
"Quit your yapping there, mongrel."
"Mongrel? You're unbelievable!" Ryuji yelled to Taiga
"Alright! Gimme that lunch! I take back every nice thing I've done for you!" Reaching out his hand, as to say he wanted the small bag she was carrying
"Ugh. Shut Up and rot in hell..." Taiga groaned wnd walked away from Ryuji.
As we continue to walk in silence Taiga broke the silence once again
"Remember our deal. When we get to school, you two have a job to do." she stopped (which we did also) and reminded us
"You know, to figure out how to...get closer to Kitamura..." she blushed and suddenly got nervous
"And there's no backing out you two promised you'd obey me like dogs remember? Taiga turned around, stopped being nervous and went back to her usual self
"And I swear, if it doesn't work for any reason..." she was about to finish but notice a certain pink haired girl who was her best friend up ahead
"Minorin!" she yelled excitedly and ran to Kushieda
"Hey, Ms. Latekins! Somebody's in a good mood today." she said hugging Taiga
"Morning, Minorinnnn!" Taiga said in a child-like voice, rubbing her head against Minori's chest (That's not weird at all)
"What, No way! Really?!" she said noticing me and Ryuji was there too
"Huh..?" i said, somewhat confused and Ryuji was the same.
"S-Sorry, I'm just a little shocked, here, I had no idea you and Takasu were so close, you're walking to school together all two-shot style, now!" Minori said gripping her head with both hands.
"No one uses the term 'two-shot style' anymore" Taiga replied.
"But isn't it supposed to be three-shot style since I so happen to be here too?" i added
"That's not the point!" Ryuji responded in anger
"Oh, right. I guess nowadays people just say.. oh jeez i'm so confused, I don't know how people say it these days!" Minori said, shaking her head in confusion.
"Lovebirds? No wait, lovers!" she said coming to a conclusion
"Like I said, that's not the point! We just so happen to run into each other on our way to school, is all, right Aisak-" Ryuuji said to Kushieda but got almost ignored by both of them
"So it's just a coincidence?" Kushieda asked Taiga
"Yeah, he's just my neighbor." Taiga answered her question
"Oh..." she responded
"Okay then"... i said awkwardly
"Okay, see you later Takasu, have a good day!, Okay, so I watching TV last night, and I..." Kushieda said cheerfully, waving to Ryuji before turning back to Taiga and talking to her, not before Taiga looked at me and Ryuji and giving a somewhat evil smile to us
"I get it now, if want a shot with Kushieda, I gotta help Aisaka with Kitamura first" he said to me while looking at his left hand
"And if i don't want her to kill me for breaking my promise then I'll have to do same" i said with determination
"Bring it on!" Ryuji said
Gym Class
"Okay, that's enough stretching!, It's time to split up into pairs and pass the-" said our gym teacher as he flexed until Ryuji stood in front of him and interrupted
"Aisaka!, You and me!" Ryuji yelled and already chosen Taiga out of nowhere (A part of the plan)
"Sure!, "I'll be on your team, Takasu!" she said quickly as she moved in front to him
"Sweet" he said with a smile and walked to her as everyone stands there confused and the gym teacher complimented Taiga and Ryuji's enthusiasms and continued his lecture.
(The plan was for Ryuji to hit a random dude that decides to pair with Kitamura with a basketball, While i overreact and take the poor guy to the nurse's office and in turn Taiga replaces the spot and pairs with Kitamura, It's pretty much fool proof.)
"Maruo! You wanna team up?" Maya Kihara asked Kitamura while holding a basketball in her arms.
"Sure, but you've gotta stop calling me that." Kitamura responded to her question.
"But you look just like him!" she said with a blush on her face and I was looking on when I heard a loud sound and I looked to see Taiga's elbow jabbed at Ryuji's Stomach and seeing him in pain made me feel bad for him
'Hold on, Kitamura is talking to some freaky person!" she said while pointing at Kihara and then turned her head now looking at a groaning Ryuji
How'd did that happen? she question him
"Why...did you hit me?" Ryuji asked still groaning in pain and looking at Taiga, I sighed after that, I saw Kushieda run up to me, holding up a basketball on her head
"Saikawa! do you want to be partners?" she said excitedly
"Um...? Sure i'm fine with that" I said with a small smile as Kushieda pulled me away from Ryuuji and Taiga
"So is Kushieda and she took Ren!" Ryuuji said with a worried expression
"It doesn't matter stick to the plan with or without Ren." Taiga said very focused on getting closer to Kitamura
"But he's with a girl-" Ryuuji said not wanting to hit Kihara
"What are you a sexist?" Taiga asked while glaring at Ryuuji quickly shutting him up
I was now with Kushieda and I waited for her to pass me the basketball
"I won't use my hands as I... Throw It!" she throws it at me and it almost didn't make it to me
"That wasn't even close Kushieda." I said trying not to laugh
"Hmmm..The road to mastering the thumbless is long and hard" she said as I looked at her confused
"Huh?" I questioned her
"Nah forget about it, that was for the folks who get it that's all" she said as I got even more confused but I guess that's Kushieda's charm, but I looked back to see Ryuuji looking very conflicted, I don't blame him, he just can't hit a girl, I pass the ball back to Kushieda than she tried to do the throw without her thumbs again but I see Taiga glaring daggers at Kihara as she overthrows Kitamura and she puts her hands together while apologizing.
"Sorry about that Maruo" she said as Taiga gets hit square in the face with a basketball from Ryuuji by accident and i see the look on Ryuuji's face that he screwed up and i couldn't help but sigh as I didn't do them any favors either.
I gotta hand it to Taiga, she's the type of person that would bite your head off in a second but she's the type of person who works hard, almost to the point of making her look very stupid doing it, but that kinda makes you root for her, hell I'm rooting for her to succeed.
The school day was over and me, Taiga and Ryuuji were standing in the hallway with Taiga holding a bag of cookies for Kitamura, I was holding cookies that I made for myself( I can't cook well, but I can bake any type of sweets you can think of)
After School
"Now listen when you give your cookies to Kitamura, act natural. Whatever you do, don't freeze up and you'll be fine okay?" I said while giving a small encouraging smile for Taiga
"Okay... gotcha" Taiga said very nervously "Act...natural. casual...easy..loose"
"Let's do this" Ryuuji said as he opening the door of Class 2-C and saw that Kitamura's desk was empty and there was only two male students in the room
"Hey where's Kitamura?" Ryuuji said
"Oh, he's not here right now, he said he had stuff to take care of in Building B, so... AH! Takasu!" one of the male students said realizing it was Ryuuji talking to him all this time
"He just left, he c-couldn't have gone far!" the other male student stammered clearly scared as Ryuuji and Taiga spotted Kitamura running
"There he's is!" Taiga yelled prompting Ryuuji to respond
"After him!" I nodded at his response
"Right!" Taiga replied and the three of us started to run after as Taiga try to a avoid as many people as possible, as me and Ryuuji couldn't keep up because Taiga was too fast for us, as for Kitamura he was heading up the stairs, Taiga was ahead of us in the 2nd set of stairs, but me and stopped at the end of the first set of stairs to take a breather but Ryuuji realized that Taiga slipped on the last step of the stairs and let her cookies go as well.
My body felt it was moving on it's own I went behind to catch her and try to soften the blow. Ryuuji knowing what I was doing and seeing the cookies going through an open tried to jump and catch it, unfortunately he was too late and it went through the window
"Ren" Taiga said as she was opening her eyes and I was holding her like she was a child
"Your cookies..." I groaned as I was still holding her as she looked at her hands and realized she wasn't holding them anymore, she stopped and looked at Ryuuji
"Sorry Aisaka they went out the window" Ryuuji mumbled and his head hung a little low, this was a failed mission, no two ways about it
"You okay?" Ryuuji asked me with concerned as I rubbed my head I took a big hit on the head for Taiga as we both sat in the seats at our classroom
"I'll be alright, it's going to be leaving a lump on my head though." I chuckled a little bit as Ryuuji smiled too but then the smile faded
"Why are doing this? Why are helping Aisaka out? You don't have anything to lose, You don't have a crush on anyone, and you just transferred, so why are you doing this?" he asked me
"It's pretty straight forward actually, I was born here and i used to live around here when I was pretty young, but my family decided to move away from here so I never got to make any long lasting friends because my family moves from place to place, so I asked to live on my own back here so I can try to finish school and make friends, I know this... partnership isn't the friendship I had in mind but it feels like one, something I've never had before" I smiled at Ryuuji and he smiled back
Out of nowhere me and Ryuuji see our classrooms door slide open, to see Taiga in a dejected state and her head looking down at the floor
"Did you find the cookies?" Ryuuji asked, Taiga nodded, which prompted Ryuuji to respond
"Be honest... I'm just a big fat klutz, aren't I...?" she said suddenly
"She has no idea" i thought sarcastically
"I write a love letter but i put it in the wrong. guy's bag, I attack Ryuuji, but halfway through, I collapse from hunger, I tried to play basketball, but get bashed in the face. I try to give someone cookies, but i trip, fell, and dropped them..."
"I think you missed a few things there, Like when you forgot to put the letter in the envelope!" Ryuuji said optimistically, trying to cheer her up
"Oh yeah, right..." Taiga said, no emotion at all, sinking to the floor, with a sad look on her face, Ryuuji realized what he did was about to do something, but i beat him to it crouching next to Taiga, reaching my hands towards her cookies
"Alright, let me have one of your cookies" I said to Taiga
"Huh" Taiga looked confused as I took her bag of broken cookies and took a piece
B-But they're all crushed, and...wait, I don't think they're any...um..." she said as i eat the piece
"I'll be completely honest, there were very salty and it tastes very bad, Ryuuji was gonna eat them and pretend that they were good" i said being brutally honest
Ryuuji and Taiga were completely shocked at what most particularly Ryuuji that i figured out what he was going to if I didn't step in, Taiga glared darkly at and was ready to hit me but I continued
"Here you can have these, you can give them to Kitamura the next time you see him or you can eat them" with a smile, i gave my bag of cookies to Taiga, her anger dissolved to confusion as she opened the bag, to see that they were the same cookies she had but they looked brighter and much more appetizing to eat, she was shocked she was about to asked me a question but I stopped her.
"Look if your going ask why but don't. I gave them to you because I genuinely want to help you, but we'll to try harder next time, if you want to give them to Kitamura" i closed my eyes and smiled
Ryuuji crouched down and nodded his head, Taiga wanted to say something but she found herself speechless but she almost said something but there was a noise a the hallway. With Me, Taiga and Ryuuji wondering what that was
Morning
Me, Taiga and Ryuuji did the usual routine of walking to the school, we made to our class, Ryuuji slid the door open, we stood there confused, as we were getting more attention than usual
"Huh" Ryuuji ask aloud
"Something is not right about today" I thought
"What's taking you two so long?" she asked as she got annoyed "Go in already!"
"Squee!" the purple haired girl known as Nanako Kashii squealed in a manner that a fangirl would do.
"Squee?" Ryuuji asked very confused
Out of nowhere Kushieda stood up from her desk with a serious expression on her face and asked
"Do you three have a minute?"
We ended up on the roof of the school with Kushieda standing by the fence with a dreamy look in her eyes
"Oh, sweet little bird of youth..." she whispered but it was loud enough for us to hear
"What's going on with Kushieda?" Ryuuji asked Taiga who is just as confused as he is
"No idea" Taiga told him
"Takasu?" Kushieda asked out of the blue, startling Ryuuji a little bit
"Yes?! I mean, yeah?"
Kushieda turned around and gave Ryuuji a smile... then her expression changed which was confusing yet horrifying at the same time. She jumped in the air then she landed on her knees in front of Ryuuji, and Taiga.
"Please take great care of Taiga!..." she pleaded to Ryuuji who was even more confused
"Huh?!"
"Taiga is an incredibly dear friend to me. The only thing I ask is that you make her happy as she can possibly be!" she said still pleading
"H-Hold on, Kushieda! Do you think me and her are?!" Ryuuji said visibly shocked at what a she was saying
"Make me happy..?" Taiga said still confused, then we heard clapping, we turned around to see Kitamura standing on the roof that led to the stairs
"So that's what's going on" he said to himself
I'm really happy for both of you" he said to Ryuuji and Taiga
"How the hell did you get up there?" Ryuuji questioned Kitamura but I realized there was a ladder
"So that's how he was able to-" I thought to myself but was cut off by Kitamura continuing while completely ignoring Ryuuji's question
"I noticed you two were spending a lot of time together, and now that I think about it you'd make a cute couple!" Taiga heard this, she gasped, eyes white, and she fainted, Ryuuji noticed this and caught her.
"Aisaka wake up!" he said shaking her, while Kitamura laughing in the background
"Would you stop laughing!" Ryuuji turned around at Kitamura, as he was not helping
"Takasu?" Kushieda asked, startling Ryuuji yet again
"I swear, if you make Taiga cry... I'll never ever forgive you" she said to Ryuuji then she turned around to me
"Saikawa, since your the protector of their love, I will hold you the in the same regards, you let anyone ruin there relationship, or you let Takasu hurt Taiga in any way I will make sure no one sees you anymore".
My eyes went widened as it went white and my body stood frozen and Kitamura kept laughing as a thought crossed my mind
"How did we let this happen?"
After School
Me, Taiga and Ryuuji didn't have a good day, after all the rumors that has been spread in school today, it's alright to say this day wasn't good. We spent time in a restaurant called Johnny's after school but we didn't say anything to each other, dealing with our own issues of these false rumors, Taiga's eyes were wide and full white and Ryuuji's eyes were closed and his head was facing the right side.
"Kushi...eda" Ryuuji mumbled to himself,
As for me, my head was on the table, and I have a headache from these rumors
"Protector of their love...? Do they seriously think that I don't anything else to do than "protect" a romantic relationship that doesn't even exist." I thought to myself as Taiga was the one who finally spoke up
"I'm sorry...It's my fault that Minorin got the wrong idea and I kept inviting myself over to your place." she said looking at Ryuuji, he shook his head and said
"No that's-"
"I liked being in there, when i was in your house, I felt at home" Taiga confessed
"My parents and me, we don't get along well." Taiga explained to me and Ryuuji as we walked down the empty streets since it's night time.
"When i told them I wanted to move out, they set me up at that apartment. I knew that was how they'd react." She finished
"You know...I got super mad when I saw my cookies all broken up like that, and I tried one. God they were nasty." She said to Ryuuji
"I can't believe you were going to eat them all, and lie about how good they were, Keep stressing out over people and your going to go bald, you mutt." she continued while insulting Ryuuji
"Why don't you worry about yourself" Ryuuji muttered harshly
"Do you guys ever get nervous when you think about Minorin or any girl you have feelings for" Taiga asked
"Of course" Ryuuji replied
"Y-yeah" I said
"Obviously..." Taiga said as she stop out of nowhere as me and Ryuuji stopped as well.
"Why'd you stop?" I asked
"Why doesn't anybody understand us..? Seriously, we're nothing but a bunch of nervous wrecks all the time, So why can't people see that? She said as her anger is starting to rise
Truth is, everybody, all of them, they're really..." she continued as she kicked the telephone pole and kept doing it.
"... really pissing me off! They piss me off, they piss me off! Screw that Palm Top Tiger stuff! Nothing's okay, I'm not okay! Stupid Minorin! Stupid Minorin! Stupid Kitamura!
Why doesn't anyone listen to me?! My mom doesn't... my dad doesn't! They don't get me...no one does."
She finished on the verge of crying, Seeing this, Ryuuji did a kick of his own on the telephone pole.
"Mind if I join you?" he asked while Taiga took a deep breath and gave Ryuuji a nod as they continued to kick the pole
"Who cares if I'm small?!"
"I'm not a delinquent"
"So what if I got a weird name?!"
"It's not my fault if I look like this!"
I joined in, delivering a kick of my own to the pole
"So what if I'm always quite, that doesn't mean that there's a problem with me!"
"SCREW YOU ALL!" Taiga yelled with everything she had giving one more kick, then she was out of breath, she started to take small breaths to calm down
"Um, are you ok..?" Ryuuji asked a little concerned for her
"Ryuuji...Ren... did we tilt it?" Taiga asked
"No we couldn't have-" Ryuuji replied at first but he looked at the pole and he shocked expression says it all "It is tilted!"
"Seriously!?" We did it! We Win,We Win!" she yelled jumping up and down for a little bit, she stopped and took a small breath
"I've made up my mind, tommorow I'm going to tell Kitamura how I feel and that will be the end of this." she said to me and Ryuuji
"The...end?" Ryuuji asked
"Yeah no more of you two serving me like dogs. Starting tomorrow the three of us will be classmates who also happened to be neighbors. Nothing more, nothing less." she said as she started to leave
"Goodbye, Takasu and Saikawa" she finished and ran off leaving both of us
"Nothing more... Nothing less" I muttered quietly as I walked away, leaving Ryuuji by himself as those words rang in my head.
Morning
If i'm being honest walking to school by myself sucks I really liked walking to school with Taiga and Ryuuji, much more eventful but we're just classmates "Nothing more... Nothing less.
I've made my way to the second floor and was about to head to 2-C but I saw Kushieda at the end of the stairwell like she was waiting for someone.
"Hey Kushieda" I said and she looked up and saw me, she didn't look like her usual happy sell
"I'm sorry, Saikawa" she bowed apologetically
"Huh?" I asked, confused about the apology she's given me
"I already told Takasu but Taiga told me everything. She told me it was all big misunderstanding, and that she'd never date Ryuuji and she said you were unfortunately part of the misunderstandings.
"She went out of her way to make me understand that. She also had this look on her face that was super serious. I mean, like she was desperate! But that's...well... isn't that-"
She was about to finish her sentence but I turned and walked downstairs leave Kushieda a little bit confused in the process.
What is Taiga doing, She's supposed to be finding Kitamura and confessing her feelings towards him, not worrying about me and Ryuuji, now that I think about it all the rumors about Ryuuji being a delinquent died down today and me being the same as well. Seriously...what is she doing?
I made it outside and found Ryuuji hiding on top of one of the set of stairs that led to back of the school, I was about to say something but he gestured me to be quite and look down, so I did and low and behold it was Taiga standing across from Kitamura with a huge blush on her face.
"Kitamura! I'm... I, um... I just wanted... to tell you that I'm sort of... in... I mean... I..." she stutters as she's trying to say what she wants to say but Kitamura cuts her off
"She's really doing this early in the morning?" I thought aloud
"Hold on. Okay. I think I get it. In fact, I have a pretty good idea of where this is going. But before this goes any further, I have to ask you something first. Aren't you and Takasu like, dating?" he asked Taiga
"No. Minorin was just confusing things! There's nothing going on with me and him!" she replies
"So, wait a second. You're saying you don't like him? What about Saikawa you don't like him either?" Kitamura asked
"Not like that! The three of us just happen to live super close to each other. He and I- I don't like them at all!" she once again replied as I saw Ryuuji lowered his head
"So you hate them?" Kitamura asked another question and Taiga was stunned by the question
"What?" she said as the wind blew through her and she answered
"I don't hate them" what she said made me and Ryuuji's eyes widened by her answer as she continued
"Wait, I didn't mean that! You see, Takasu- he's like... I-I don't know. I... Oh yeah, fried rice! He, like, went out of his way to make the most amazing fried rice for me. He cheered me up, and.. he- he tried lied just to make me feel better. He was totally there for me. And it's because of that, because Ryuji was there that... that-that I... that I even have the courage to say this right now! Kitamura, I... I like you!"
"Aisaka you really are something" Ryuuji said with a smile and look at me as I smiled and nod in agreement
"I see. It's okay. You don't have to explain yourself anymore. I think I understand how you feel now." Kitamura said with certainty
"Do you really?" Taiga replied
"Aisaka, do you remember what happened last year?" he asked her
"...Yeah." Taiga responded with embarrassment
"Well, compared to back then... you look more... interesting now." Kitamura said which made Taiga confused and asked
What do you mean "interesting?"
"It's true. Whenever you're with Takasu, you look like you're having a good time. He really is an awesome guy, you know? Besides, I think the way you were talking about him just now means... well, it means you're a pretty awesome girl yourself." he said with a smile
"The way I talked about... wait, what exactly did I say?!" Taiga asked while being even confused
"It doesn't matter. I'm just happy to hear you and Takasu are getting along so well." Kitamura said while adjusting his glasses while Taiga is now confused and flustered
"Hold on a second! Ryuji has absolutely nothing to do with this! And what does "interesting" even mean? Whatever, that is so not the point. So you're happy? Great! Wait, what am I even saying? Did I even tell you that I like you?"
"Easy, Aisaka. It's okay." Kitamura replied "I get it."
W-what do you mean you "get it?" I don't even understand what I just said to you" Taiga said
"Don't worry. It's alright! I'm sure the two of us will become great friends from now on." he told her
"I said I liked you, not that I wanna be... be friends?" Taiga said but paused as she realized what Kitamura was saying
"That's right. We'll be friends, Aisaka." he replied and Taiga was looking and feeling deflated, The bell rings, then Kitamura looks up.
"Uh oh. We're gonna be late for homeroom. We'd better get going!" he said as he turns around and head back inside leaving Taiga alone.
"I thought you were gonna cry." Ryuuji said revealing him and me that we were listening
Taiga lifts her head, and was shocked to see us
"Uh- What?! Y-You were there? D-Did you see the whole thing?!" she questioned
"We didn't mean to" I said try to justify the situation but I didn't think Taiga bought it
"You didn't mean to-"
"Anyway, what now?" Ryuuji asked interrupting what Taiga was going to say but she grew frustrated and started to walk away
"I'm going home."
"Okay, then I guess I'll make you something to eat, bet you didn't have breakfast yet. Ryuuji said as he followed Taiga, and so did i and I chimed in
"Did you even eat anything last night? You get something from the convenience store or-" I said as Taiga stopped walking and interrupted me
"Why are you two doing this? People are gonna get the wrong idea again! You don't have to do this stuff anymore!" she said as her fists started to shake
"But I- ...Look, I don't know why were doing this. But we can't just leave you alone like that" Ryuuji said while I nodded in agreement with him
"Well, you're gonna have to! I told you two to stop, you're not my dogs anymore!' Taiga replied
"You're right. I'm not your dog. I'm a dragon! That's why I got the guts to stand by you, Aisa-" Ryuuji stops and realizes if he's going to stand by her, he needs to call her by her first name
"Taiga!" Ryuuji said with firmness in his voice
Did... you just say "Taiga?" she asked being completely surprised not expecting what Ryuuji just said
"For centuries, only dragons could stand on equal ground with tigers. So I'll become a dragon, and then no matter what, I'll be strong enough to stand by you" He proclaimed and Taiga stood there stunned at what he said, even I was surprised myself.
She turned away from him shaking a bit. Noticing she hasn't said anything yet, Ryuuji look at her. Taiga proceeds to kick him on his backside, almost knocking him on the ground.
"
You've got some nerve. You better know your place!" she stated asserting her dominance over Ryuuji
"What the hell- huh?" he ask completely dumbfounded over what just happened but Taiga starts to walk away
"Get a move on! I'm hungry." Taiga said as her expression changed to determination as she changed the subject
"We need to come up with a new plan of attack. What happened today with Kitamura isn't gonna make me give up on him." Tagia continued to (I guess both of us) as she plans to not move on from Kitamura
"But what about-" Ryuuji was about asked Taiga something but she cut him off
"I don't care if you're a dragon or a mutt. You said you were gonna stand by me, so you'd better prove it and start working your ass off.Ryuji." she said but she turned around to look at me
"Hey Ren, your more tolerable than Ryuuji so your not a dog, your more of a Wolf and I'm leading the pack so you better carry your weight got it." she stated as I look at her surprised and I nodded and walked up closer to her face to face
"Alright Taiga but just so you know, were going to be on the same level, and I'm going to help to the best of my abilities!" I said with a huge smile on my face, and she said with a light punch on my shoulder and a small smile
"Your such a weirdo" she said as she started to walk away, I stood there as I adjusted my glasses as Ryuuji put a hand on my shoulder
"We're going to regret this" he said chuckling
"Definitely" I said laughing as we fist bumped each other
"You two coming or what?!" she said impatiently
"We're coming." Ryuuji answered for the both of us as we started walking to catch up to her, unbeknownst to us however, Taiga quietly smiled to herself with a small blush on her face and thought
"They called me Taiga..."
