f.t my hideous drawing.

[Y/n]'s POV

Red didn't take that long to come out of the monastery gate/door. (I'm still not that sure on what it is.)

"What- oh [Y/n]'s here. Come inside Sensei is waiting." He said

"Yeah we need you t-" Greenie began.

"Come on Sensei is waiting, hurry it up." Red stated, more impatient than usual.

"But Ultra-"

"My feet are frozen here!" I shouted, annoyed at Red's arrogance.

"Why didn't you say so." Red said as he began to unfreeze my feet.

Green walked away, probably to deal with Ultra, while Red took me into the monastery.

'Why won't he let Greenie speak?' I thought to myself

'Did you seriously just use a nickname?' M questioned from inside my head.

'What else am I supposed to call him, our saviour the green ninja?!'

'Fair point.'

He sounded more annoyed than usual, maybe he's just jealous. I giggled to myself.

"What's so funny?" Red asked.

"Oh nothing, just thinking about something I saw earlier on my phone." I lied, I couldn't exactly say that I was laughing about the voice in my head to my little brothers hero. No can't be doing that.

The monastery grounds where so much better than what I had imagined as a child. Although I couldn't see any training equipment. Maybe it was inside? The inside didn't look big enough for training equipment though. Maybe they'd be training me in the bounty? Oh my god [y/n] stop overthinking!

"Hello [Y/n]." An old man greeted.

His long white beard trailed to the floor. His sunken eyes gave off a friendly but stern vibe. [Y/n] recognised him from somewhere. Had he came to her families house when she was younger? [Y/n] stood and stared for a moment before it clicked.

"Ah- I am so sorry about the other day! I wasn't looking where I was going."

"Hitting more people with your car." Greenie joked.

His voice scared me, when did he get here.

"No. I'll hit you again if you don't stop mentioning it." I joked back.

I didn't get a chance to talk to Wu properly before he started to walk into another room, motioning at me to follow.

"[M/n], come with me." Another woman said.

"Misako! Long time no see." My mum said.

Okay so apparently my mother knows everyone. How left out I feel right now.

"So... erm, wh-what are you teaching me?" I asked, trying not to fall behind. For an old man he walks pretty quick.

"At the moment I'll be teaching you about your powers and eventually basic defence and offence." Wu stated.

"It's mainly defence, being keepers of peace and all." Greenie added.

I looked at the corridor I was walking down. There was a surprising amount of photos on the wall. Of course I was gonna look at them all. One of them in particular stood out to me. It was the white, red and blue ninja , a girl who I didn't recognise and a young blonde boy. The photo itself was extremely chaotic, the blonde haired boy was up a wall, the blue ninja was being held by the girl who was looking at the person taking the picture (who I could only assume was the black ninja) , the red ninja was squaring up to the blue ninja and the white ninja was just there, pointing.

The blonde boy looked so familiar. Lloyd. It was baby Lloyd!!!!

"Oh my gooodddd he's so freaking cute!!" I accidentally awed outloud.
"We were meant to cover some of these up...." Greenie said, a twinge of embarrassment laced his voice.
"Awwww but baby Lloyd is so cute!" I continued, completely forgetting who I was around.
"You know my nephew [Y/n]?" Wu asked.
"Oh yeah..." I waggled my fingers to show my soulmate string wasn't there.
The old man chuckled, "Lloyd hasn't told me this." As he said this I could've sworn he looked over my shoulder at greenie.
Maybe greenie and Lloyd where friends. It must be hard for Lloyd being friends with the people fighting his dad all the time. Actually scratch that Lloyd just has a hard life in general. I took one last look at the chaotic photo. I noticed something new this time, Lloyds green eyes where red.

'Light flares are a thing you know' M sarcastically stated
'Don't sass me M.' I responded.

I continued to follow Wu into a small room filled with scrolls. He motioned at me to sit down on the floor. I did as I was told. Wu walked over to one of the many shelves of scrolls and began browsing.

It was finally sinking in that I was in a room with people I had looked up to for the majority of my life. I didn't know how to sit, should I sit up straight or be relaxed. What should I do with my hands?!

'Calm down before you have another asthma attack.' M said.
'Right, right.'

Wu returned from the shelf and sat opposite me.

"[Y/n] what do you know about your powers already?" Wu asked
"I know that they are impossible to control and that I sometimes pass out because of them." I didn't mention that they are an extremely good little brother exterminator.
"Your father mentioned that your powers can be dangerous..."
"Yeah... So you know about Olly?" I sighed, I actually wanted to sleep tonight.
"Yes I do, but you have to remember you aren't alone." Wu stated

"Yeah, do you know how many lightbulbs I smashed as a kid?" Greenie said, his eyes gave a reassuring glance.
"Thanks, but I'm pretty sure throwing your little brother out of a window is slightly worse." I laughed, laugh or else I'll cry.
"Oh...erm. I-I'm sorry." Greenie said, awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck.
"No, don't worry he's fine now." I lied.

The scroll that Wu had picked out was a small one, I think. I've never really seen a scroll to reference it to. It had a detailed drawing of a purple figure standing back to back with a green figure. They were holding hands, which were glowing. They looked so calm and content.

"Your powers are powerful [Y/n], they are some sort of telekinesis." Wu stated, opening up another scroll.

This time the purple figure was without the green figure, she was scared. In her arms a small child lay.
"Th-that's me isn't it," I said holding back tears, "a-and that's Olly." I blinked letting 2 small tears roll down my face.

"Yes, the scrolls are ancient. However they are prophetic." Wu stated, "Green, tell [Y/n] what prophetic means."
"I know this one, it's when the future is predicted accurately." Greenie said, a tone of achievement to his voice.
"But how do they know everything, what am I going to do that's so special I'm in a prophetic scroll?" I asked
"Everything will be revealed in time, excuse me while I go make us some tea."

I sighed. I never get straight answers. I turned to Greenie who had sat down beside me at some point.
"Is he always like this?"
"Sensei, yes. Don't worry though because what he says eventually makes sense. Key word 'eventually'"
I giggled. "So is that you next to me in this." I pointed at the first scroll.
"Eh- probably."
"Can't be holding my hand, Lloyd'll get jealous." I joked.

Lloyd's POV

Okay so [Y/n] definitely doesn't know it's me.
"Really, he doesn't seem like the jealous type." I said.
"I wouldn't know... hey you know Lloyd right? What's he like?" [Y/n] asked.
"Erm, well...." God, what am I like? I don't know how to describe myself! "Erm.... He's pretty funny I guess..." Wow is that all I've got to say about myself. I'm funny?
[Y/n] huffed at my response. "That's all you have to say?" She sounded disappointed.
"No, you just put me on the spot. That's all..."
"How do you know Lloyd anyway? Does he come here a lot?"
"Well I know him as my sensei's nephew, and my friend... and he occasionally drops by." I said thinking of how I fell off ultra on the way here.
"When's his birthday? I'm only asking in case it's soon."
"Lloyd doesn't really celebrate it, so I can't really remember..." I wasn't lying, I hadn't celebrated my birthday... well ever. They didn't celebrate birthdays at Darkleys, "Evil don't need to celebrate birthdays."
"Oh... I get spring vibes." [Y/n] laughed.
"So... how long have you known Lloyd?" I asked even though I already knew the answer.
"Well I think it was on Tuesday... wait what day is it today?"
"It's Wednesday." I replied, I couldn't help but smile.
"So I only met him yesterday?!" She questioned, " Jesus I need to buy a calendar, I have no idea what's going on anymore."
This time I couldn't help but laugh, first time she hears my laugh and she doesn't even know it's me. At least I get to know if it's dorky or not.

[Y/n]'s POV

Greenies laugh was so dorky. I couldn't tell him that of course! He might be self conscious and not to mention he's ninjago's saviour.
'I think you should tell him.' M said
'You shut it.'
I could hear M mutter something about not needing me much longer.

"I think sensei may have gotten sidetracked. He doesn't usually take this long." Greenie stated.
"Should we go look for him?" I asked, thinking he was probably talking to my mother.
"Yeah, I'll give you a mini tour on the way to the kitchen." Greenie got up and outstretched his hand towards me. I took the offer and used his hand to help myself up.

"Thanks." I mumbled, it finally sunk in that I used to admire him so much when I was a kid, and I was touching his hands. Sure he was a similar age to me when he came into the title of the green ninja, but that didn't stop 12 year old me from latching on to him as an idol. I guess the remnants of 12 year old me were fangirling inside of me, and it was extremely hard to hide.

When he walked me to the kitchen, giving me a mini tour of the place, I looked out for anymore pictures of baby Lloyd or just younger Lloyd from a few years ago. But he seemed to disappear from all the pictures once Greenie came.
'That's odd...' I thought to myself. Maybe Lloyd didn't like Greenie at first, maybe younger Lloyd couldn't fully grasp the evilness of his dad. When I see Lloyd in school tomorrow I'm going to give him a big hug, making sure to not squeeze his sore ribs. That reminds me,
"Greenie how are your ribs doing after I hit you with my car?"
"They're alright, why planning to hit me again once they're healed." He joked, laughing slightly at it. He laughs at his own jokes, even more dorky.
We walked for a little while longer before we reached the kitchen. Wu was not there.
"Hmm... wanna snack?" Greenie asked me.
"Yeah okay." I smiled at him, I wonder what Lloyd's smile looks like. I don't think I've seen him actually smile, not with his eyes anyway. He has such sad eyes.
Greenie opened a cupboard, revealing a mass supply of granola and energy bars. He looked at me for a few moments and threw me a chocolate energy bar. My favourite.
"How did you know it was my favourite?"
"I dunno, you just look like a chocolate person." He answered, mouth full of a green tea flavoured one.
Gotta stay on brand I guess.

Greenie then took me to the room my mother had gone into with the woman my mum called Misako. I was right, Wu was talking to my mum.
"Ah, I am so sorry about that, I came in here to ask if your mum wanted some tea also and we got carried away in discussion. Wu explained upon seeing me and Greenie in the doorway.
"It's okay, I got a tour and a chocolate bar out of it." I joked.
"Why don't you go watch the ninja train for a while? It's very educational." My mum said in an attempt at getting me out the room.
"Sure, let you adults catch up with each other." I smiled.
Greenie lead me towards the outside of the monastery, as we got closer I could hear machinery and small grunts of effort.
"But there was nothing out there when we came in.." I thought out loud.
"Maggiiicccccc...." Greenie said, waggling his fingers in my face. Once again laughing at his own antics. He reminded me of a small child, so bright and happy. He reminded me of Olly when he laughed, Olly had a dorky laugh too.

We exited the door and to my surprise there was training equipment in the courtyard, where I was only standing a few minutes ago.
"I guess it really is magic." I laughed.
The water ninja looked up from what she was doing when she heard my voice. "[Y/n]! You gotta come look at this, it's so cool." I walked over to where she stood in front of a small water fountain.
Instead of the water dripping down into the drain, the water ninja was manipulating the water so it would float above her unsuspecting brother.
I let out a small gasp once I realised what she was planning. "Won't he get mad?" I whispered.
"That's the fun part." She giggled back.
Once the water looked as big as the fire ninja himself she stopped controlling it letting it drench the hard at work fire ninja.
He let out a girlish yelp before turning to where we stood, except we weren't there anymore.
"Wha-how did you do that?" I said, now outside of the monastery walls.
"Shhh... he'll hear us." She giggled, placing her hand over her mouth.

***

I had spent the rest of the daylight with the ninja, they eventually managed to calm the fire ninja down by challenging him to his favourite video game. They took me into they're game room which I had passed on my mini tour with Greenie earlier on. We had stayed in there until my mum and Wu stepped in and said it was time for me to go. I was a bit bummed out by this as I hadn't seen the bounty, but maybe I'll see it next time. Oh god, next time. What if I'm too busy with Wu and scrolls and stuff to have any actual fun. When is next time anyway? I'll ask my mum.

"Mum, when are we next going to see Wu and the ninja?" I asked on the drive home.
"I think we'll just make it a Wednesday thing, you don't do any after school things do you." My mum said, not needing an answer, I hadn't done an after school club since I was 6.

I went every Tuesday and Thursday to an after school drama club ran by my year 2 teacher. I only didn't go once and that was the day Olly was born. I went in on the Thursday with a picture of newborn Olly to show all my friends. Of course those friends where now just people I used to know, we had all drifted apart once high school rolled around. Kinda sad when you think about how as kids we never imagined never not being friends. I miss the days of being so naive , that the idea of drifting apart from your friends never even came to mind. Now school is all about exams and thinking about the future and thinking about what job to have when you leave school, what college to go to. Although school never tells you how to make the perfect CV or college essay. School never tells you about what tax evasion is or how to avoid it. Instead we learn algebra and why a blue door means the main character of a book is depressed.

I sighed, I hated thinking about the future, too many what ifs, although it's all I seemed to think about. I had only 4 months until my finals, 5 months until the end of sophomore year.

"Stressing about exams already?" My mum asked, pulling into our apartment buildings parking lot.
"How did you know?" I asked, rolling up my window.
"You get this look on your face every year when an exam gets near. You even used to do it when you where younger and had a spelling bee coming up." My mum laughed.

I was glad to see the effects of going to visit Olly had worn off.

Wow okay so this took me quite a while to write, I apologise. However I already have an in depth idea on what the next chapter is going to be about, and I will be introducing a new character (completely made up by moi)
So hopefully the next chapter will be up just before Christmas which is currently only 45 days away! Although I might just give you it as a Christmas/Hanukkah present (for all you non Christians reading this) I am not currently aware of any other holidays that take place in December but tell me in the comments if you celebrate anything different so I am better informed. That's all for now, as always I hope you are all well.
