Bela's POV:
I was shocked to see that Di was so casual about the Engagement!
The next minute was worse!
I saw Sehgals had come with gifts for the Roka!
They also were shocked to see what was happening!!!
Just then I heard a voice from my parents saying...
'It was her choice Son!!!'
My sister was having an engagement like she didn't care!!!
I felt it was really suffocating...
I wanted to leave...
While I heard a voice...
'Mr and Mrs Sharma...if you don't mind I would want to marry your younger daughter!!!'
😳 I froze?!!
I turned around! I saw his back! It was Mahir???? 😟
He didn't even know me 😢
I silently left to my room...
This is impossible... I'm still doing my first year mba... I have so many dreams...I can't! My only love!
I was shattered when I heard my mom's voice...
' Say yes Bela! Mahir is a successful and a rich man! ' she said...
I shot up at once saying...' And how about relationships, love respect????... I don't even know him ma'
Then I heard my father taunting my mom...

Prologue - 1
We were standing on my house terrace. It has been more than 20 minutes. Neither of us are talking.
Infact I haven't even seen his face properly.
I was only asked by parents to 'Go meet him!'
All this because 'HE' asked my hand in marriage!
I was freaking out at the very thought of marriage!
Worse! He was the guy with whom Brinda Di has been chatting and calling for last 2 months.
They seemed pretty serious!
I heard his voice a couple of times from her room while they were on a video call. Although I never went to see who it was.
I stay away from men!
The male species are a little complicated.
I prefer to avoid them.
I haven't had a pleasant past with them!
I have no idea when is he planning to turn around and talk to me!
It's been bloody 20 mins that I'm standing in this hot sun.

Finally getting irritated I went and stood next to him

I happened to see his face for the first time this close...
He had light stubble, perfectly cut jawline like god was in a very good mood while drawing those jawlines, a straight nose that was red right now!!! Probably huffing anger! Hair perfectly chick and combed. Lips pink like he applied my favorite strawberry lip balm.
But his eyes were red! Angry! Scary
Uffff!!!
The pain in his eyes...
Why is it so relatable...
I couldn't meet the gaze of those painful eyes...
Just then I noticed his hand.
Damn!!! He had crushed the glass which mom offered him that had orange juice!
His hand was a bleeding mess!!?
I freaked out seeing that!
I always get scared seeing blood! But today looks like the man infront of me was in more pain than my fear and emotions!!!
I pulled the stupid broken glass from his hand that was still pricking into his skin!!!
'Shit!!! Shit!!! You are bleeding Mr Segal!!! ' I said fearing at once
There was no reaction on his face!
But his eyes were blood red!!!
I ran down staircase and got the first aid kit from my room while our families were in their own sweet world.
While he was still standing there...
I quickly held made him sit on the swing of the terrace then took his hand removed the tiny pieces of Glass from his palm. Quickly cleared the blood with dettol. Then applied medicine and tied a bandage to make sure it doesn't bleed more.
But looks like the bandage roll had almost emptied.
So for double layer. I took my scarf and tied it across his hand.
This is the first time he looked at my face...
His red blood eyes met my soft eyes...
I don't know what did those coffee brown eyes had that I was drowning into it!
I quickly averted my gaze but he still was shamelessly gawking into my face!
In one go he said...
'Marry me!'
I shot him a glare!
'Mr Sehgal do you even know my name?' I asked rudely...
'Doesn't matter! You are Brinda's sister! That's a pretty good qualification!' he replied with arrogance!
I looked at him with so many questions in my mind.
Egoistic!
Angry!
Rude!
Arrogant!
Upset!
No.... hurt! Yup..... he's hurt!
He saw me looking at him profusely. He suddenly went conscious and walked away to the other corner of the swing!
' If you both like each other so much then sort it out Mr Sehgal.
Fighting and having breakup and finally having to appear on the day of my sister's engagement.'
Next second I felt his strong arms push me on a wall near the swing!
He had caged me and his breathe was fanning against my face.
My breath was stuck in my throat at our proximity!
His musk cologne hit my nose and was intoxicating my mind!
He not only had broad shoulders...had really broad chest too! I felt his strength with his hold on my shoulders.
His shoulders and hands were tough!
He was hot!
My mind registered!!!
'Your sister never told me that she broke up with me got it Miss!???
'Bela...it's... Bela' I said
'Miss Bela...
Like a cheat she just stopped talking to me since 1.5 months.
Since last 2 weeks she didn't talk to me nor replied to my messages!
