At the green-brown lake
Speckled with ducks, bread and sunlight.
A skip, a hop is all it takes

I listen to insects hum
Drowning my thoughts
To match the calmness of the water.

From the clustered concrete towers
That in an hour, I'll return to

The freedom I have
Reduced to a moving picture in the palm of her hand

In high resolution
As the ducks
Eat the rest of the bread
