Mira Zahed and Aryan Shankar are at war.
When her best friend, Dima, and his cousin, Kajal, decide to fall in love, Mira and Aryan do the complete opposite.
Mira's semi-peaceful existence as a Biology student at UCLA and a lifelong resident of the sunny state of California is abruptly challenged when her best friend of over a decade falls in love with the biggest asshole on campus's cousin.
She isn't here to make friends. Enemies, though?
Aryan, the London-born campus asshole, as Mira would call him, is simply trying to live his life in this overly pretentious city— drink some beer, party with some girls, learn to build some robots during school hours and kick Raf Herrera's ass at football, not soccer, whenever he got the chance.
However, the sharp-eyed girl with an equally sharp tongue storms into his life and he can't shake her off.
Neither of them can get rid of the other, bound together by their doe-eyed lovebird best friends for all eternity, so it appears.
Sooner or later, Mira and Aryan's rivalry extends past the biting brunches and hot glares across the UCLA campus, to a series of kisses that burn like hellfire and three whispered words that glow brighter than the hot hatred they'd risen from.
But even when Aryan kisses her like no one else, Mira still just might kill him one of these days.
After all, they were at war.

this story was floating around my head for a while before i decided to start it for nanowrimo, which is basically a writing competition where i attempt to write 50k words in the month of novemeber. anyway, i totally achieved this and kicked nano 2k20's ass.
however, a fair portion of this story was written in one month fuelled by way too much coffee and tears, and i've yet to go back and edit, so pls forgive me for any messy details or errors <3
