/Prince Haknyeon's POV/
"Haneul-ah" I knocked on her chamber's door
"Haneul-ie, wake up" I knocked again but there's still no reply
"Ju Haneul, I'm coming in, okay?" I said before slowly and carefully opening the door to see her bed empty
"Haneul? Where did she go again this time..." I muttered
"Your Highness? Are you perhaps looking for Her Highness?" A maid asked from behind me
"Yes, I am. Have you seen her?" I asked
"She woke up earlier than usual today and told us that she'll be going somwhere but never told us specifically where" The maid informed
"Is there someone who left with her?" I queried
"None, Your Highness. Her Highness only told us that she'll be in the place she truly belongs" The maid bowed and left
"The place she truly belongs...?" I whispered before heading to my room
The only place she once said she truly belongs is in the ocean so that is where I'll be heading.
I was the one who brought her there and it has become her getaway place ever since. No one, except us two, know about the ocean being her special place.
"Your Highness, may I ask where are you heading?" A guard asked
"I'll be looking for my sister. Don't worry, we'll be back before lunch" I said as he bowed and let me pass
=Ocean=
"Haneul-ie, there you are" I said as she turned around
"Haknyeon oppa, why did you follow me here?" She asked
"Am I not allowed to?" I asked as she shakes her head 'no' and faced the ocean again
"The ocean is pretty calm today" Haneul softly said as I stood beside her
"It is, but why did you come here, Neul-ie?" I asked as she turned to me
"Its nothing, just some thoughts about my soulmate that is running through my mind" Haneul said
"I see..." I trailed off
"Nyeon-ie oppa? Have you ever thought of what will happen once we found our soulmates?" Haneul suddenly asked
"I haven't really given it much thought, why do you suddenly ask?" I turned to her
"I'm just worried of how they'll react when we finally meet or find out we're soulmates" Haneul said
"Juhai-ah, stop overthinking, okay? Let's just enjoy the present first before thinking of the future" I said, side hugging her waist with my left arm
"Okay then, oppa" Haneul said as she leaned her head on my shoulder as we just bask in the cool wind and small splashes of the ocean in front of us
"You know... I hate to end this moment but I promised that we'll be home before lunch. Besides, Mom and Dad might be worried by now, seeing as we didn't inform them about us leaving the castle" I spoke up as Haneul just nod and stood up properly as we walked home together
We were passing through the forest when I heard footsteps following us
"Haneul-ah, keep quiet, okay? And hide behind that rock when I tell you to" I softly ordered as I pointed to a large boulder just a few steps away from where we were standing
"But how about you, oppa?" Haneul asked worriedly
"I'll be fine, don't worry" I assured as I look around
"Now!" I quietly exclaimed as a dagger pass through the side of my face as I somehow managed to avoid it
I quickly took the dagger and got on a fighting stance as I observed my surroundings
"Come out and tell me who sent you here" I ordered as a person comes out from behind a bush
He was wearing a mask to cover his face but I know he was the one behind this dagger
"I demand an answer stranger!" I shouted while pointing the dagger to him as he keeps silent before swiftly snatching the dagger from me and pointing it dangerously close to my neck
"I'm not allowed to tell who I am and who sent me here but I must warn you that we are not what you think we are" The stranger said as he pushed the knife closer before an arrow shot him in his right shoulder, causing him to let go of both me and the dagger
"Go and run back to your kingdom! Let us handle him!" A girl's voice shouted as two cloaked ladies went out from behind a tree separately
"You heard what she said, now go!" The other girl said as I quickly pull Haneul up and we dashed back to the kingdom
=Sun Kingdom=
"Are you okay, oppa?" Haneul asked worriedly
"I'm okay, don't worry, its just a small wound, it can't kill me" I assured
"Who do you think the cloaked ladies are, oppa?" Haneul asked
"I don't know but I owe them my life and our safety. If it wasn't for them, something bad might've happened to us already" I said
