here I sit, shirtless, contemplating
what, I don't know, but here I am
I want to leave
I want to run
I want to escape
I want out,
but I have a duty here to fulfill
a duty to another smaller than me
I am her world
and I could not take her with me
into lands of uncertainty
and so I sit here,
sewing my heart back into my chest
