Several days had passed since Tsukishima and Kageyama had their little fight. Things had gone back to normal.
Kageyama was still staying over at Hinata's. They where sitting on the couch snuggled under a blanket watching a movie... Well Kageyama was watching the movie. Hinata had fallen asleep Cradled in Kageyama's arms.
Kageyama noticed that Hinata was breathing a little bit heavy. He pushed a little of his hair off his forehead and felt that Hinata felt warm. Kageyama thought maybe it was his heat starting early but realized his scent didn't change and he didn't feel that hot.
Hinata slightly moved he'd been woken up by the touch.
"Kageyama? I'm cold." He said as he burrowed Himself more into Kageyama's arms.
"Your cold?" Kageyama asked.
"Mhm" Hinata hummed.
"I think you have a fever. Do you feel okay?" Kageyama asked beginning to be a little worried.
"My body feels heavy. Hinata mumbled.
Kageyama had zero experience taking care of someone who was sick yet alone a Omega that was sick.
"I'm going to carry you to your bed." Kageyama said he stood up Hinata still cradled in his arms and took him to his room.
He laid him down and tried to re bundle him up. Then he went to go look for some medicine.
He went to the bathroom and looked through the cabinet but there wasn't anything useful their.
He checked the kitchen and he still couldn't find anything.
He didn't want to call anyone and ask for help. (Alpha pride is a pain)
He finally broke down and decided to call the one person who he could think of that could help,
Suga.
(Phone call)
Suga:
Kageyama?
Kageyama:
Hey Suga... Hinata has a fever and I don't know what to do... he doesn't have any medicine here either.
(Suga was silent for a minute)
Suga:
Do.... you want Daichi and I to come over? I can bring some medicine and make him a some soup.
Kageyama:
No... I can take care of him... I just don't know how.
(Suga started to laugh a little.)
Suga:
Kageyama.... we're going to come over we'll be there in 10! Bye!
Kageyama:
Suga w-
(Suga hung up leaving Kageyama feeling a little lost for words.)

He wasn't necessarily jealous but he wanted to be the one to take care of Hinata. He was starting to feel insufficient like he wasn't good enough. Even though he logically knew that wasn't true.
He went back into Hinata's room to see the small Omega curled up under the blanket small tuffs of orange hair peaking out from the top. He pulled the blanket back and touched Hinata's forehead again. Much to his dismay he seemed warmer then before.
He kneeled down beside the bed and gently ran his fingers through Hinata's hair.
"I'm sorry." He said quietly. He stayed like that until he heard a Knock on the door.
He went and opened it and let Suga and Daichi in.
Suga was smiling holding bag full of various things. They came in and Suga headed to Hinata's room.
Kageyama went to follow but was stopped by Daichi putting a hand on his shoulder.
"It's best to stay out of his way when he's like this." He said and he sat down on the couch.
Kageyama for some reason felt anxious.
Daichi took notice of his demeanor and decided to break the silence.
" Don't feel bad... Omega's are better at taking care of other omega's. In fact every tome Noya is sick he calls Suga before he calls Asahi." He said attempting to make Kageyama feel less worried.
"What if he decides he doesn't need me." Kageyama didn't mean to say it out loud but he had.
"It's normal to feel like that.... but usually not this soon after being paired with a Omega." Daichi said realizing it had barely been four weeks that they had been paired together.
"Hinata's the only Omega I've ever been able to smell." Kageyama said quietly
"Wait you can't smell other omega's at all?" Daichi asked somewhat surprised. It made some sense now why Kageyama as so protective.
"Sometimes I can smell their scents if Hinata's been hanging out with them. But I can't directly smell them." Kageyama said.
"I thought the Author didn't like the idea of fated pairs." Daichi said thinking out loud.
"The Who ? And what?" Kageyama asked confused.
"Nothing forget it." Daichi said quickly.
"What did you mean by fated pair?" Kageyama asked.
"There are some alpha's and omega's that are meant to be together, and can only sense each other's scents. Most people think evolution took that trait away but there could still be some alpha and omega pairs who experience it." Daichi explained.
Kageyama sat there for a moment quietly. Suddenly a lot of things made sense to him. And it almost made him have a weird sense of happiness. Thinking that maybe this meant Hinata was supposed to be his Omega from the beginning.
Finally Suga joined them in the living room. He sat next to Daichi smiling.
"I gave him some fever reducer and put a warm cloth on his head to help lower his temperature.
I'll leave some soup and tea for you to give him when he gets up. Also you should sleep out here so you don't get sick and can still go to school tomorrow."
Suga said.
"Shouldn't I stay and take care of him?" He asked confused as to why he had to still go to school.
Suga sighed and rubbed his temples.
"No you need to go to school."
Kageyama didn't question him after that he just nodded.
Daichi and Suga left and Kageyama went back into Hinata's room. He sat on the floor next to the bed and watched him sleep. Fighting every urge he had to crawl into bed with him.
"Kageyama... are you here ?" He heard Hinata said almost so quietly that he wasn't even sure he had actually heard anything.
Hinata opened his eyes just a tiny bit. Only enough to see a somewhat blurry Kageyama sitting beside his bed.
"Kageyama... can you cuddle me." Hinata asked. His voice sounding groggy and tired.
"Suga said I shouldn't." Kageyama said as he leaned half way on the bed and lightly rubbed Hinata's cheek.
"Please... just for a few minutes." Hinata sounded almost desperate.
Kageyama sighed honestly he wasn't really able to fight it even if he really wanted to.
He got in to the bed and crawled under the blanket wrapping his arms around Hinata pulling him close to his chest and placing a kiss on top of his head.
"You need to get more rest." He said quietly.
Hinata snuggled himself closer.
"I feel better with you here." Hinata whispered as he shut his eyes and fell back asleep.
~The Next Morning~
Kageyama woke up and realized he had ended up sleeping next to Hinata anyway. He sighed and tried to quietly get up so he could get ready for school. After he finished getting dressed he decided that he should make Hinata some tea and a bowl of soup before he left.
After he made them he took them into his room and left them on the table by the bed hopefully Hinata would see them when he wakes up.
He headed to school. It felt lonely walker by himself to the gym. He got to the point where Hinata would normally ask to race and started to feel almost sad. He wanted to turn back and just skip school all together. But if he did that chances where both Daichi and Suga would be upset.
He got to the gym and aw Kiyoko and Yachi talking to coach Ukai and Tekeda.
"Good morning Kageyama." Takeda said cheerfully.
"Morning." Kageyama said back. Takeda cocked his head at the sad sound in kageyama's voice.
"Where's Hinata?" Yachi asked. Somewhat peaking behind Kageyama to see if maybe he was just trailing behind.
"He's sick." Kageyama said.
Kiyoko heard the worried tone in his voice and glanced at Yachi. Who seemed to have immediately taken on sympathy for the distraught Alpha.
Kiyoko sighed knowing how she'd feel if Yachi was sick and she still had to go to school.
"Hey Yachi and I have to go do some "stuff" for coach Ukai after lunch... we can drop by Hinata's and check on him for you, if you'd like?" Kiyoko said.
Kageyama slightly perked up. At least if they checked on him he could maybe relax little.
"Do you mind?" Kageyama asked.
"Not at all !" Yachi said before Kiyoko even had a chance to respond.
Kiyoko giggled a bit seeing the small Omega happy.
"Since Hinata isn't here today want want you to do some extra drills with Asahi and Tanaka." Coach Ukai said. Sounding a bit stern shaking Kageyama out of his mood for a minute as he nodded.
Morning practice felt weird. Not hearing Hinata shout "toss to me!"
Kageyama was visibly having hard time focusing.
Suga went up to him.
"Go take a break I'll set for them for a the rest of practice." He said.
Kageyama went and sat against the wall.
After practice was over and Kageyama had gone to class he was still having a hard time staying focused. He sat there at his dest mindlessly rolling his pencil in between his fingers. Eventually he decided he need to get out of the class room before he drove himself mad.
He excused himself and headed to the bathroom.
He stood in front of the sink and splashed some water on his face. Trying to gather some consciousness.
Then he heard the door open. In came Isao. He stood next to Kageyama at the opposite sink and stared at him.
"So where's you're little Omega today Mhm?" He asked mockingly.
Kageyama gripped onto the counter of the sink trying to control his anger.
"Oh he isn't here today? That's a shame I was hoping to have some fun with him." Isao said as he turned to leave the bathroom but was stopped by Kageyama turning around and pinning him to the wall.
"If you ever touch him again or even talk about him again. I'm going to murder you." Kageyama said growling. Almost at the verge of completely losing control.
"Easy now. It'd be a shame if you did something and got kicked out of the omega program. And then Hinata would have to be paired with a new alpha.... maybe even me."
Kageyama lost it.
That was his final straw.
"Don't you dear say his name you piece of shit." He Snarled.
Before punching Isao in the face and throwing him to the ground.
After that he left the bathroom knowing that is he didn't chances where he'd probably have a even worse problem to deal with.
He went back to his class and sat back down at his desk.
About forty minutes later a girl came in and started to talk to his teacher. She pointed at Kageyama.
"Kageyama the principal would like to see you in his office please." His teacher said.
Kageyama felt his body tense up. (Shit)
He got up and followed the girl to the office.
