Alex's PoV
I'm driving home to get some things for myself as I have no intention of leaving Miracle alone and I know she won't come back to the house. I grab everything I'll need for a week and think if I need anything else I can buy it or just pop back while Miracle is at school. Once I have my stuff collected I sit down and really think about what Nicole said about IVF. I feel bad because when Miracle said about having a baby I was more than willing to give her it whenever she wanted it but with Nicole I'm seriously questioning whether I want to go through with the IVF, that's why I suggested getting tested first. All I can think about now though is seeing Miracle getting round and glowing from pregnancy, which instantly makes me rock hard and I feel bad for feeling like this.
After collecting everything I go and get some ice cream and head back to Miracles. I walk into the house and notice that Nicole is alone.
Al - is everything ok?
Nic - she wants space.
Al - did she say why.
Nic - she doesn't know how to deal with this and feels like we're using her as a temporary baby while we try to have a real one.
Al - did you tell her she wasn't temporary.
Nic - yeah but I'm not sure if she really believes it. I think we should leave and give her the space that she wants and needs.
Al - I'm not leaving her alone Nicole.
Nic - what about me?
Al - seriously Nicole you literally said yesterday morning that you needed some space away from me, so this solves that for you.
Nic - ok I guess that does, I have my appointment tomorrow after school to have the tests done. I spoke to Miracle about it and she outlined some very important things to me.
Al - oh what was that?
Nic - she said if she isn't supposed to be a temporary fixture surely she needs to know things in the event that your away on business or you can't be reached because your in a meeting. I also explained about us getting tested and she said that it was a good thing to get checked as we may find out that we may need donors or even a surrogate, which would of wasted a lot of time and money on IVF. She was very mature about the whole thing.
Al - looks like she's either interested in this type of thing or knows someone that has gone through it before. Very intelligent young woman and very conscious of what she wants and needs.
Nic - she is indeed, well I'm going to head home and get some rest before work tomorrow.
Al - ok I will talk to you later love you.
Nic - love you to.
Nicole leaves
I head upstairs to find Miracle and find her in bed with music playing softly in the background.
Al - hey princess you want to come have some ice cream with me?
Mira - oh hey, I thought you were going home with Nicole.
Al - I told you earlier I'm either staying here with you or staying with you at the house. I did give you the choice and you've said your staying here, so I'm staying here with you and I've even brought clothes with me.
Mira - yeah I chose here Alex because I need space.
Al - I know you want space baby but I need to be here with you it's killing me knowing I've hurt you and that your trying to pull away, I told you I would do anything even give you a baby. So can you please allow me to stay plus Nicole wanted some time away from me as well.
Mira - why does Nicole want some time away for?
Al - I normally spend some nights in a guest room so we can have some down time from each other.
Mira - that's not the whole answer is it?
Al - no but I'm just not ready to explain that yet if that's ok.
Mira - yeah that's fine and you can stay just put your clothes in the space in my cupboard. What ice cream did you get?
Al - thank you for the space princess, and I got your favourite chocolate fudge brownie.
Mira - yay yummy, yummy in my tummy.
I laugh at her antics and walk downstairs with her and put a new movie on for us while eating our ice cream. The film has finished and I look at Miracle and see that she is asleep so I carry her to bed. I jump in the shower quickly and get dressed for bed, I climb in and pull Miracle towards me and drift off to sleep with thoughts of how good it feels to have her in my arms.
I wake up and get ready for the day and then wake Miracle up so she can get ready. I ask her if she wants me to cook or take her to the cafe and she asks if it's ok to go to the cafe, I say that we can because I will do anything to make her happy.
Arrives at Miracles school
Al - here you are princess.
Mira - thank you Alex
Al - I am going to be slightly late this afternoon, so can you please stay with Nicole or go to the library until I message you to tell you I'm here.
Mira - I can walk home, it's not to far.
Al - baby I would feel more comfortable if you would wait till I pick you up, so can you please wait?
Mira - yeah I will wait here for you.
Al - thank you baby. Have a good morning and I will see you soon.
Mira - have a good day.
Miracles PoV
Skip to Nicole's class
Mira - Mrs De Luca please can I talk to you after class please?
Nic - yes of course Miracle.
The bell to say that the class is over finally goes off, and I wait for the class to empty so that I can talk to Nicole.
Nic - how's your day been today Miracle?
Mira - it's been ok so far, how's your day been?
Nic - it's been ok, what did you want to talk about?
Mira - I was wondering if you can give me extra credit work so that I can complete my requirements for this class earlier than Christmas. I have requested the same for my other 2 classes and the teachers have already sorted it for me.
Nic - of course I can, have you heard from Alex yet?
Mira - no not yet he said his meeting finishes at 12:15 and would then head straight here, I can go to the library if you are busy.
Nic - no your fine I just wanted to know how long I had you for before you left so I can either get the work prepared now or drop it off after I have finished.
Mira - you can drop it off later if it's easier as I already have some of the extra work from the other 2 classes so I can start on that.
Nic - I'll bring it round after work and will bring dinner as well. How does that sound?
Mira - can I please have pizza?
Nic - of course you can. Is pepperoni pizza ok?
Mira - yes please that's my favourite

Alex - how was your day princess?
Mira - it was ok. I requested extra work so that I can finish my classes sooner than Christmas so that there is less risk to Nicole's job.
Alex - oh princess that is so sweet of you and I'm sure Nicole really appreciates it.
Mira - she's bringing her extra work after her appointment and bringing pizza as well.
Alex - is my princess excited about having pizza.
Mira - yeah I am
Skip to Nicole's arrival at miracles
Nicole's PoV
I knock on the door and Miracle answers so I ask her "how come your answering the door princess?" She replies "Alex is in the bathroom, so I checked the doorbell camera and saw that it was you and asked Alex if I could open the door and he said I could so here I am." I smile at her and walk in and say "let's eat the pizza I brought and show you the work I brought with me." After showing her everything she needs to do I tell them both I'll see them tomorrow and head home.
Skip to arrival at home
I walk in the door and realise how quiet it is without Alex home and even having Miracle here that one evening. I go through each room and clean up any mess I've made and square everything away and get myself ready for bed. My phone starts to ring and see it's my good friend Lydia
Nic - hey girl how are you?
Lydia - I'm good girl how are you?
Nic - I'm ok, just trying to make amends with mine and Alex's potential little
Lydia - what the hell when did you find a little
Nic - it was the first day at my new job we went to go to the cafe and bumped into a girl and basically went from there
Lydia - wow so what are you trying to make up for?
Nic - I said something that made her feel like she is a burden after literally hours before saying she wasn't a burden
Lydia - oh Nic you need to be so careful what you say, even if you don't think they can hear you they are so fragile especially in little space
Nic - I know I found out the hard way, she is struggling right now with whether she wants to be with us and I don't know what to do
Lydia - just keep reassuring her that you care and that she isn't a burden. I was going to ask if you could watch Noah this weekend but I'll ask someone else because you need to spend as much quality time as you can with her, maybe suggest taking her to the zoo or the aquarium or something.
Nic - I think that's a great idea thanks lyds for the advice and maybe in a few weeks when we are in a bit better place you can both come over and visit.
Lydia - that's sounds amazing and I look forward to it. I will speak to you soon Nic.
