Yoongi's eyes fell over Taehyung's worried gaze. The innocent gleam the omega carried left the guard speechless after hearing those words. He knew something was off about Jimin and how he still carried a strong scent of his alpha even when they haven't seen each other for a week! Everything began to seem so clear to the alpha, but he was still silent; trying to take in the big news so suddenly.
"Park Jimin is pregnant..." Yoongi thought. His eyes peeled away from Taehyung's gleaming stares and tried to process everything. "He's pregnant.... why couldn't you tell him before he walked off?" Yoongi asked and watched Taehyung shake his head so suddenly. "What's the matter? You're not the one pregnant here!"
"I'm too afraid to tell him! You see how stressed he is on trying to better himself, if I add onto that with news of his pregnancy, he would be more overwhelmed than he is now! I just want to make sure he's alright... I will let him know but right now, do you think he's stable enough to know that he's pregnant? What if he hurts the pup?"
"Don't be ridiculous, Taehyung! As long as you plan to let him know soon, it's fine by me. I feel as if I tell him, he won't believe me! He will trust the son of a well known doctor before trusting a head guard. How could I have been so blind to the signs before? Jimin is pregnant... that's why he grew so tired and he carried the King's scent even when he hasn't seen him in such a long time!"
"I don't know how this happened... I gave him the elixir, but I guess he missed a day in taking it... or he didn't take it correctly! I know Jimin took it, I know this was what he feared before and I gave him the elixir and it failed! What if he tells me the elixirs are useless and he believes I sabotaged him? What will I do then when my big brother hates me?"
"For an omega who seems very alike to me when it comes to emotionally helping others, you really can't seem to help yourself out in a crisis," Yoongi teased and held his hands behind his back. "Find a way to tell him soon. There's no rush, but I'd rather you not hide it from someone who needs to know. Jimin is the soon to be King alongside his Jungkook and he is carrying the future Prince or Princess of this land. Do not let him know on his own."
"Isn't that a better option?"
"He trusts you to let him know the truth... don't lose it because you're scared of the outcome."
"How do you know so much?"
"I just speak through many experiences just like you speak through common sense," the guard answered. "Now, allow me to walk you back with Jimin..." Yoongi assured and as soon as they opened the doors, Jimin stood right at the entry and caused the guard to flinch.
Jimin was listening in on the conversation the whole time and was tearing up by the door at the news. His heart dropped when he heard the two talking about his pregnancy and couldn't believe what he was hearing. Right as he stood there in front of the two, Taehyung gasped and Yoongi couldn't help but to remain frozen in place. The three were silent to the point where only Jimin's sobs could be heard through the room.
"I'm... I'm... I'm pregnant?" Jimin asked through his tears and looked at the young omega. "I was pregnant and you couldn't tell me?"
"Jimin, I was afraid of how you would react! Please... I know how tough things are for you and Jungkook. Take your time..." Taehyung continued and with that, Yoongi was quick to pull Jimin back into the king's sleeping chamber so their voices wouldn't be carried out through the palace walls.
"I-I.." Jimin sputtered and stepped in once he watched Yoongi pull him forward. "I'm pregnant with a pup of an alpha I can't bring myself to speak to! Wh-What am I going to do? My father was by my side the other day, what if he thought I was going down the wrong path in his eyes and is waiting to hold this against me? What can I-"
"Enough! Jimin, you are pregnant, you are not to speak like this. Yes, you are in denial and we know how much stress you must be going through... but please, breathe... breathe in and ou-"
"I HAVE A PUP GROWING INSIDE OF ME!" Jimin cried and began to panic. He breathed heavily as his hands latched onto the fabric of his hanbok over the area of his stomach. "I-Is that why I haven't been myself recently? I didn't know anything about this! No one taught me what it was going to be like... not like this... is this how it feels to bear a pup? Is this how it feels to carry the pup of the alpha I love?"
Through Jimin's sudden questions, he finally said the word he tried so hard to find with his alpha. He believed he would only think of that word alone when he was with Jungkook to see if it was real, but he discovered it without having to stand near his one true love. That's how he knew those feelings were real without any other influence. Jimin stood in front of the bed before sitting on it and looking at the ground in silence. Such big news like this was enough to make him feel overwhelmed and confused. Just before, he worried about his own stubbornness getting in his way, but now he had to worry of ways to speak to his alpha about this.
"What are you going to do now, Jimin? Please tell me you won't hide this from Jungkook! He can't take any more. He has been changing for the better and I don't want to see you knock it down," Yoongi asked and tilted his head to see the omega sitting on the bed silently to contemplate.
"I will tell him... I will tell him everything. I promised him I will be honest with him no matter what and I don't want to disappoint him. We spoke about this before and now that it's happening, I can't turn away from him," Jimin spoke softly and let out a sigh. "He's the father of my pup, the alpha I am bound to, and the one who has my heart."
"Jimin, are you okay?" Taehyung jumped in and wondered, but Jimin only shook his head after a tear raced down his red face.
"I'm not... I'm so scared, Taehyung! But I know it will be better soon. Just now, this moment right now, it's hard for me to process. I need to think about this on my own and give myself a moment to confront my stubborn side that has been growing and feeding off of my life for many years. I'm going to rule alongside Jungkook and I shouldn't make any mistakes. Not anymore. Not when I know I'm hurting him..."
"Jimin..." Taehyung spoke softly and walked over to the omega in a way to comfort him as he stood by his side. "Take your time to talk to him about this. You may want to rush just for his sake, but you need to be prepared as well! You should tell him when you are ready."
The omega knew many things about his alpha. He knew seeing him today was harming the two in the process and with the weight of his pregnancy, it was enough to make Jimin hear the other part of himself, begging Jimin to speak with his alpha. Overall, Jimin now knew talking to Jungkook would be his remedy. Jimin sat there in his silence as he guided his hand along the center of his stomach. This pup was what the two made out of innocence and youthful love before even knowing it, but the pup was sure to be born when love already blossoms between the two. It was such a warm feeling that was locked under the many scary thoughts Jimin felt, but he no longer wanted to run. He wanted to get to know these issues and face them before seeing Jungkook.
"I'm pregnant and I will soon give birth to the pup of my first love..." Jimin thought into his head and dried his tears before preparing himself to leave with Yoongi and Taehyung. At the moment, his heart pounded in fear as he stepped out of the palace with the guard standing by his side. Everything felt different, his heart raced and the atmosphere around him thickened. Was this how the world truly seems to the omega who was blinded by his issues before?
When night fell, Jimin laid on his left side after hearing the specific orders Taehyung gave him. He couldn't focus the whole day and was silent as he finally began to think of the weight of the situation. Before, he only spoke about what he planned to do after he heard the news so the guard wouldn't lecture him further, but he had to face himself every night and that was the stubborn side of himself.
All of the negatives surrounded his mind as he ran the tip of his finger along the covers of his bed. He was too lost in his mind to cry to himself, but when he found the heart of the situation entirely, he couldn't help but to close his eyes and let a tear fall. It was too much for him on the first day of knowing he was pregnant. He knew Jungkook would always be there for him, but this alone caused a shift in his life to happen. The sudden change was enough to scare him and make him long to lay in bed to avoid everything. But as he looked down to the center of his stomach once more, he dried his tears.
"I knew... I knew something like this could happen, but I didn't know enough to expect it..." Jimin spoke softly and ran his hand down his chest to then place it over his belly that had yet to grow. "I-I wasn't expecting you... but now that I am, I'm so afraid. I'm so afraid of what could happen but I lay here as if it's already solved. Jungkook... I mean, your father and I put each other through so much, it frightens me to confess... but I have nothing to fear now. What is there to fear? I'm going to have you and I'm going to tell him tomorrow. There is nothing left for me to cry about and nothing else left for me to process. I've made up my mind."
Finally, the omega settled on seeing Jungkook the next day. He knew Yoongi would be around him longer to protect the future king and the pup who had yet to arrive. So by there, Jimin knew he would be able to see Jungkook. Just before, Jimin would drag out a situation until it caused him to become so stubborn, it would backfire and he would carry all the guilt until it made him bleed. But now, Jimin knew he couldn't beat himself down everyday in hopes of getting better. His only source for bettering himself was with the man he loved, Jeon Jungkook.
"It's still you...Even if I find myself straying away from you or taking too long to confront you, my heart will always remain with you. It has always been with you and I will never take it back as if it never did. Jungkook, the king who is no longer lonely but loved now, I value your time and patience. I need to find myself within you, we are not alike in that but we are alike when it comes to our hearts meeting into one. I will always want you, this is my love for you, how could I let my stubborn mind get in the way of that?" Jimin asked and let out an exhale after holding his breath underneath the ocean of guilt that was meant to drown him. I will see you tomorrow..." Jimin spoke softly into a gentle whisper before he rubbed his stomach softly. "We will see you tomorrow... good night."
