Chapter 7

Josh POV
4:30 pm
"I'm gonna go over to her house." I say grabbing my car keys.
"No. You can't go. She just got back 2 days ago and I drove by her house and saw her dad's car." Paige says.
I sigh, "You never know he could be there to give her gifts."
Paige had a concerned look on her face. "Why don't we all go. This isn't just your mess it's all of ours. We should've talked to Chloe but we didn't." Paige says getting out her phone.
She walks away on the phone with Mikey. I look in the distance.

Chloe POV
I try to grab my suitcase from the top shelf in my closet. I reach for it and everything but the suitcase falls on the floor.
I see a picture frame of Josh and I at an amusement park.
----FLASHBACK----
"You did it Chloe!" Josh says pulling up his harness on the ride. He helps me down and kisses my lips softly.
"Now what?" Josh asks.
I wait a few seconds then say, "Follow me." I grab his hand and lead him towards the exit door.
We leave everyone in the dust.
"Where are we going?" Josh asks.
"Just sh!" I say putting my finger to my lips.
Josh grins at me. I lead him towards the exit and the attendant stamps both of our hands.
"Chloe...." Josh says with a concerned sound in his voice.
The sun was going down.
I grab Josh's car keys from his pocket and unlock his truck.
"Get in." I say.

I throw the picture at my closet door and the glass frame shatters.
I hear my parents stop talking but then start again.
My suitcase somehow ends up on the floor.
I fiddle through my clothes and find a few decent outfits. Half of them remind me of Josh.
I grab my suitcase and look at the time. 5:30. I have to go.
I walk downstairs and my parents get quiet.
"I'm leaving." I say.
My mom comes over to me and gives me a hug.
"Do amazing!"
I look over at my dad and he says, "Don't get kicked out." He smiles.
I giggle.
I grab my suitcase and head to my car.
