"Who are we gonna visit? I thought you'll bring me somewhere to talk?" Chaeyoung asked the CEO as the latter pulled over at the main entrance of a huge house "Their house is incredible" she continued as she roamed her eyes outside
"Just come with me,alright?" Jennie replied as she undo her seatbelt and got off from her car
"O...kay..."the blonde agreed as she got off the car as well
Jennie waited for the blonde at the front of the huge door smiling from ear to ear
"What's happening?"
"Here" the CEO handed her set of keys "This house is yours,Rosie"
"My what now?!" Chaeyoung asked wide-eyed, "You gotta be kidding"
"No, I'm not. Come, let's take a look inside" Jennie opened the huge door and we can all say that Rosie's jaw comically dropped when she saw the interior design of the house. As an artist herself, she knew that every corner of it was deeply thought and gave much attention to it. This house is what she thought of having, it seems like the one who built it knows everything that she wants
"I tried to let them design it according to what you wanted before though I don't know if your perspective have changed but we can still remodel it if you like. The furnitures here are still temporary, I made them put something so it'll not look lonely and blank"
"I don't know what to say" is the only words that came out from rosie's mouth "I can't...I can't accept this Jen, this is too much"
"Well, I promised you before that i'll give you a home. So this is it" the brunette motioned around the house "and you can't really say no since this is named after you"
Chaeyoung, the ever emotional one, burst out in tears. She placed both of her hands to hide herself. She didn't expect that Jennie will still go through their plans before. That the CEO kept her promises even when she,herself broke their shared promises first.
"Oh no, Please don't cry" Jennie tapped her ex-wife's shoulder,not sure if she'll offer a hug or something "It's nothing. Really" she assure the taller woman while the latter pulled her to hug. The hug lasted for a good minute,not that Jennie was counting but if that'll make chaeyoung fine, she's willing to stand therer for hours.
"You good?" the shorter girl asked while rosie wiped her tears off and nods
"Wait till you see the pool" Jennie dragged chaeyoung at the backpart of the house and they were met by a wide glass door that seperates the infinity pool outside that goes through the view of Seoul's skyline. The house is located at the higher part of the area, a little far from the city but who's complaining? They got lots of drivers on standby anyway.
"I thought of maybe if you and Jamie will have your vacation here again you'll have your own place to stay in" as Jennie leaned in the door frame while Chaeyoung was busy admiring the view infront of her
"She would love it here. I feel like she's not even coming back to Melbourne. She said she loved it here"
"Well... maybe you can settle here? We'll find an international school for her so she can gradually adjust and you can go back on painting or do whatever you like here" Jennie tried to subtly convince the blonde "Only if you want to" she continued as she joined chaeyoung who's sitting along the pool, legs dipped in the water.
"I'm thinking I should invest more in dresses" the CEO joked as she sat crossed-leg beside chaeyoung
"Yeah you should" chaeyoung smiled looking down at her feet and Jennie swore that she would never get tired of that smile "Why Jen?" the blonde asked out of nowhere
"Why what?"
"Don't get me wrong, I love this house but why did you still built this?" the blonde asked looking at Jennie
"I already told you. I promised you this house. This house that would make thousands of art from you and will be with you til you get old" the brunette replied "I actually stopped the construction after you left since...I admit, that my anger and pride went overboard that time of what was happening but help came through so I was able to get back on my feet and thought of many things and I was able to resume it"
"Even if there was no guarantee of me, coming back?"
"Yes. Even if you didn't came back. This would be my last sort-of-memoir for the both of us" Jennie scoffed before continuing "If Jamie..." the CEO's hands were trembling in anticipation "If it wasn't for Jamie...Would you still go back to me?"
"I was deeply hurt that day when I saw you, you know? I kept asking myself a question on how dare you swear to the world that you would only love me for the rest of your life but still kissing that woman and not doing anything after you saw me. It was torture that I could only think was to rescue myself by leaving and not turning back. I admit, that time It never crossed my mind that I'll come back to you. You've hurt me big time that I didn't listen to anyone but myself" chaeyoung wiped a tear that once again fell from her eye "but then when I knew that I was pregnant, I tried to contact you but I've failed miserably. Obviously, you didn't want anyone for yourself too so I let it be. I decided that I would go through it alone. That if you don't want me anymore then so be it, until my attention was only focused on Jamie and time pretty much went fast. Funny because I ran away to try finding myself and to forget about you but then life found me another one and purposely made it to look exactly like you" chaeyoung laughed at the thought "How about you? Was it worth it? To be with her?" she continued to ask with bitterness on the tone
"No.There wasn't any worth because I never replaced you,let alone wanting to kiss another woman except you"
"What do you mean? I was there when It happened Jen. Just tell me the truth and stop with the bullsh..."
"I was assaulted...well kinda... I would have been if I ran after you that day"
"Tell her I'm busy" Jennie answered the phone call from her secretary but was obviously still disregarded when a woman forcefully came into her office
"What got you so busy anyway?" Im Nayeon asked annoyed on how the CEO is avoiding her
"My company? Can't you see? and I know we're friends but please, can you leave? My wife's coming over and I don't want her seeing you here with me again"
"Why? Did she get jelly jelly the last time I was hugging you and she can't stop me anyways?"
"My wife knows how to control herself in the crowd,Nayeon. She won't do such issue like you. She's also well aware that I belong to her, not anyone else. I--"
"Can you shut up?! My wife this, My wife that" Nayeon was flaring her hands all over "Remember, You were mine before she got in the way, Jennie. What the hell did that bitch have that I don't anyway?!"
"First, Don't ever disrespect my wife like that! You are in my company and you have no right to call her that! You're the bitch here,Nayeon! I was never yours and stop with your fantasy of me and you being together!" Jennie stood up from her seat
"Ooh, fiesty. I think that you should stay in your seat, Ms.Kim" as Nayeon placed her handbag in Jennie's table and brought out the gun and pointed it at the CEO.
Jennie who was stunned in her feet couldn't quite comprehend of what was Nayeon trying to do. She looked at her in disbelief. They were friends since they were young and it happened that Nayeon had feelings for her but she wasn't able to reciprocate it.She thought the woman was already over her when she married Chaeyoung but looks like she isn't.
"Sit!" Nayeon ordered Jennie while the latter was lost and frightened for her life. Not only her life but also Chaeyoung's when the woman will come through the door. That was the only time that she wished that rosie will never enter that very door.
"Nayeon, what are you doing?" Jennie asked in a calmer way trying to bring Nayeon at her mercy.
"I'm just doing what I should have done before"
"You're drunk, Nay. Please put that gun down" Jennie was struggling in saying words. Her fear was all over her body and she got no one and nothing to do but to obey of what Nayeon was asking
"Hmmm..." Nayeon swirled the gun pointing at Jennie's temple "How about a NO?"
"What do you want?"
"i thought we already established that? You. I want you, Jen" as Nayeon ran her finger through Jennie's lips
"Please put the gun down and we'll talk nicely"
"I was talking at you nicely earlier but you were the one being bitchy, babe" she held the gun right through Jennie's left side "Now, kiss me" as Nayeon leaned into her and started kissing her.
and that's when Chaeyoung entered the room and saw them in that position. It was brief but she's sure that Chaeyoung didn't notice the gun since Nayeon's back was at her. They looked at each other's eyes and that's when she saw rosie's eyes were broken while her, her eyes that were screaming help wasn't understood. Nayeon's must've been drunk that she didn't notice the door opened and closed. That's when jennie got the oppurtunity to hold the gun quickly and kicked nayeon away from her but the latter had the grip of the gun and pointed it again at the CEO.
"You trying to run away,huh? You can't even kiss me back, What's happening?"
"My wife already saw us, Nayeon. Let me run after her, please!" Jennie bended her knees infront of the woman "The woman I love just left and I..."
"She won't love you anymore,Jen! You're mine now and don't even try running away or I'll kill her. I'm here!"
Jennie cried, miserable in her place as she doesn't know what to do. Her wife saw her kissing the woman she loathed before and there she was, can't even do anything. She wasn't even aware that she was held at a gunpoint,anymore. All the things that were only running on her mind was rosie.
The scene went too fast when she saw two of her guards entered the room and was able to tackle Nayeon and took the gun from her. More guards entered her office and secured her around. She quickly tried to get out from there but her guards didn't allow her since it was too risky.They have no idea if Nayeon went there with someone who's also armed so they needed to secure the whole building first.
And that was the last time jennie saw chaeyoung for the last six years. She really wanted her wife to know what happened but she didn't had the courage to since chaeyoung wasn't there with her and wasn't asnwering her phone either. So she waited for a while to let the scene simmer down and settle but then, it was already too late since chaeyoung left her as soon as she can.
Chaeyoung was speechless when jennie narrated the story of what happened that day. The CEO was trying really hard in recalling that day that she believed it has caused trauma in her. She felt guilt and regret. Guilty because of what happened to her ex-wife that was probably because of her and regret because she wasn't brave enough to fight for her. That she was busy thinking about herself only while Jennie went through hell compared to her
"I...I'm really sorry" was the first words that got out from the blonde "I'm sorry I wasn't brave enough to fight for you...I'm sorry that all I think was about myself and...."
"Sshhhh" Jennie silenced chaeyoung that was now looking at her vulnerably "You had the right to react that way. You never knew what was happening and It's all in the past. It's over"
"Where is she right now?"
"After Mr.Im knew what happened, he came to me and begged on his knees for me not to file a case against Nayeon and they were willing to send her to a facility since they discovered her obsession to me so I agreed since it was way easier and I didn't wanna ruin my family's image, especially yours"
"and you let them?! Jen! What if she comes back and do those things to you again?! Especially if she'll know about Jamie? Jen, I...I can't take it thinking of bad things happening to both of you"
"Don't worry, okay?" Jennie tried to calm chaeyoung down while holding her hand "I got it covered, I have her files delivered every now and then to see her records and everything. The facility is secured enough for her to get out of there. And I got you, okay? I'll protect you both" she continued assuring her
Chaeyoung looked at both of their hands and how comforting Jennie's little rubs in there. She should've been the one consoling the CEO at this time. So she looked through the brunette's eyes with symphaty.
"Stop looking at me like that" Jennie said when the blonde looked at her
"What do you mean?"
"You're looking at me with pity in your eyes. I don't want that. I don't want you to pity me and fix these things between us because of it" the brunette clarified "I want to do this right. I want you to know that I want to fix things between us because I still love you,Rosie. I may have shut poeple off before including you but up until now, my heart still belongs to you. I used to hate it, you know? That I'm still deeply in love with you despite of me being miserable but I can't help it. Especially when you came back" Jennie said with full of sincerity while looking through chaeyoung's eyes
"You know when I left and told you that I would find myself? Our daughter came in and I thought that she would help me finding it along the way but" Chaeyoung looked at their intertwined hands once again and gave a firm squeeze in it before looking back at Jennie "I wasn't able to find it not until I saw you again. I realised that I was looking at every direction but you. That my home will always be you and Jamie was the one who lead me back to it"
Jennie smiled, her heart is beating up so fast right now knowing that chaeyoung still loves her. That even those years of them not being with each other, their love is still visible and alive "God, I feel like college again" Jennie commented, holding into her chest
"Jen" chaeyoung said trying to get her attention back
"Hmm?"
"This time, I want to do it right. I want us to be honest and patient with each other,alright? I don't want that happening again. So, are you in this with me?" Chaeyoung asked her, smiling
"I've always been with you,rosie. Always."
And chaeyoung held the brunette's jaw and closed the gap between them. The sensation, intimacy, and warmth of the kiss was all to familiar for the both of them. The kiss was so delicate where they can both feel that they wanted and missed it. There were no rush in between of them but only the thought of they've finally found their way back home.
The kiss ended with them, trying to catch their breath. Their forehead's were attached to each other, savouring the moment that they were still having and smiles on their faces was way bigger than before
"I missed this. I missed you and I love you, Rosie. So damn much" Jennie was the one to talk first
"I love you too, Jennie Kim"
As they both kissed once again and maybe more with the sunset behind them. It was like in the movies. Really.
After few more kisses here and there and another tour in the house, which was too hard for the both of them not to jump on each other's skin once they saw their bed, they walked out of the house hand in hand, smiles are prominent on their faces, they've look back from the outside and stared at the house where they'll spend more years together
"I hope Jamie would love it here" Jennie commented as they were both watching the house while leaning on her car, Her head on Rosie's shoulder
"Oh I know for sure that she will. Anywhere with you, actually"
"Are you asking me to move in with you, Park Chaeyoung?"
"Why? Are you not?" Chaeyoung asked her getting jennie off of her shoulder
"Of course I would!" Jennie smiled "I have my dream office in there so it'll be a waste if I won't use it"
"Oh, so you'll just move in with us because of that?"
"Hmmm...Maybe?"
"Yah! Jennie!"
"I was just kidding, love. Of course I want to be with you both" Jennie leaned in and kissed the blonde
"Then it's settled! We're gonna do furniture hunting tomorrow!"
"Alright! Anything you want" as the CEO opened the passenger seat of her car "Let's go, we still have our daughter waiting for us"
