3rd person POV:
A little 4-year-old boy named Jason was silently enjoying his pancakes on this fine summer morning.
His father had already left for work, his grandfather was already asleep on the couch while his aunt was looking for a job.
But the whereabouts of his mother, April, was unknown.
This was unsettling for the young toddler, still, he didn't want to waste this moment of her absence.
Finishing his pancakes, the toddler attempted to escape the house so he could play all day but that's when she struck.
Like an animal stalking its prey waiting for the perfect moment to strike, so did April, as she hopped from behind the wall and lifted her child in the air.
April: Good morning my little strawberry~
April: Do you know what today is?
Toddler (Y/n): Put me down.
April: Wrong!
April: Today you're going to meet your grandmother!
May:(chokes on drink)
May: What!?
David:(wakes) Huh!? What's going on?
May: April wants to take Jason to see mom!
David: Why?
April: She deserves to meet her grandson.
David: She also deserves the death penalty but she hasn't gotten that.
May: April, this is a horrible idea. What if she tries to corrupt Jason to her side.
April: Stop overreacting. That could never happen.
April: If she even tried to corrupt my little strawberry, I would beat her within an inch of her life~
David: I hate it when you sound like her...
May: Are you sure about this?
April: Yep! Everyone deserves a second chance. Even mom.
May: Fine, but don't say we didn't try to warn you.
Toddler (Y/n): Let go of me.
April: I need to hold you for as long as I can before you get too big, so no!
Toddler (Y/n):(glares)
April: Welp, time to head off, do you two want to come with?
May: Pass. I want to be as far away from that B.i.t.c.h as possible.
April: Okay. And you dad?
David: We've spent enough time together. You go have fun.
April: In that case, we're off!
Rushing out of the house April drivers off with Jason to the prison her mother is currently in.
Toddler (Y/n): What are you forcing me to do again?
April: You're meeting your grandmother.
Toddler (Y/n):... Why?
April: She wants to meet you.
Toddler (Y/n):... Why?
April: Because she's your grandmother.
Toddler (Y/n):... Why?
April: Uh w-well... Because she's my mother, and I'm your mother.
Toddler (Y/n): Ah.....
April:...
Toddler (Y/n):... Why?
April:...... Maybe you want to know more about your grandma?
Toddler (Y/n): Nah.
April: Okay then.
After several hours of answering Jason's "why's" the mother and son arrive at the prison.
When April finished the paperwork needed for the visit, she and Jason were brought to an open room with a table and chairs.
Cameras were all over the room.
Taking a seat they waited until guards brought out Jason's grandmother.
The doors then opened to reveal two guards behind a woman in an orange prison uniform with handcuffs around her wrist and ankles.
The woman had long black hair, a green eye, and on her right eye was a long scare then went down diagonally.
Her body was in pretty good shape. For someone in their fifties, she looked as if she was in her late thirties.
This woman's name is Evelyn Apollo.
April: Mom!
April ran up to Evelyn and hugged her.
Evelyn: Dear, please. Not in front of the guards.
April: Don't care. Missed you.
Evelyn:(sigh)
Evelyn:(small smile) I missed you too.
The guards then left, leaving the three alone in the room.
Evelyn took a seat across from Jason and April.
April: Mom, I would like to introduce you to your grandson, Jason Mcknight.
April: Ta-da~
Toddler (Y/n):(unimpressed look)
Evelyn: So you had a child...
Evelyn: Good thing I was in here or otherwise I would have probably killed the man.
April:(chuckles) Good one mom.
Evelyn: Yes... That was a joke...
Evelyn: So who is the father?
April: Oh you know him. Childhood friend, super cool detective...
Evelyn: Connor Mcknight, the man who revealed my plans to the world and arrested me.
April: That's the one!
Evelyn:(sigh)....
Evelyn:(mumbles) First ruins my plans, then to add salt to the wound, he fucks my daughter...
April: I hope there aren't any hard feelings between you and Connor.
Evelyn: I'm above grudges, dear.
April: Glad to hear it.
Evelyn: Since May and my "darling" husband aren't here, mind telling me how they're doing?
April: There living with us.
Evelyn: You allowed those freeloaders to live with you?
Evelyn: Do they do anything?
April: They help me raise Jason when Connor is too busy.
Evelyn: Unemployed and broke then.
April: Dad's retired and May will get there.
Evelyn: Of course.
(Ring ring)
April:?
Checking her phone, April sees that she's getting a call.
April: Why don't you two get to know each other while I take this call.
April momentarily leaves the room, leaving Jason and Evelyn alone.
Toddler (Y/n):...
Evelyn:...
Evelyn: So what do you think about me?
Toddler (Y/n): Stupid, like everything else.
Evelyn: Stupid!?
Evelyn: I'm anything but "stupid".
Toddler (Y/n): I don't give a shit what you are.
Evelyn: What an interesting vocabulary for a three-year-old.
Toddler (Y/n): I'm four, get it wrong again and I'll give you another scar on your face.
Evelyn:(chuckles)
Evelyn: Watch your tongue before I give you a matching scar.
Toddler (Y/n):(wicked chuckle) Stupid old hag, try it if dare.
Evelyn:(smirk) Little shit... Let's see how tough you are.
She holds out her pinky.
Evelyn: Break my finger. I dare you.
Without a second thought, Jason grabs her pinky. Evelyn then suddenly pulls her hand back to try to pull Jason towards herself, but shockingly she wasn't able to pull it back.
Evelyn didn't use all her strength but she did use enough to at least theoretically pull him towards her.
Evelyn:?
Toddler (Y/n):(wicked grin)
(Snap)
Evelyn:!?
She reeled back her hand, finally being able to slip out of his grip after he broke her pinky.
With one hand, this four-year-old was able to break the finger of an adult.
Toddler (Y/n): Want me to break something else?
Evelyn:......(chuckle)
She ruffles up her grandson's hair until Jason smacked away her hand.
Evelyn: How are you so strong?
Toddler (Y/n): None of your business.
Evelyn:(smiles) I like you kid.
Evelyn: Let me tell you why I'm here.
Toddler (Y/n): I don't care.
Evelyn: Too bad.
Evelyn: So you see, I'm a scientist.
Toddler (Y/n): Oh no, I'm related to a nerd...
Evelyn: Be quiet.
Evelyn: Anyway... Back in the day, I researched human genetics.
Evelyn: I made the discovery of a lifetime when I found something I called the Prime gene.
Evelyn: If activated, makes the body become its peak form maybe even beyond if my research has anything to say about it.
Evelyn: After some illegal human testing that ended in death, I accidentally created a nigh untraceable poison that killed people by horrifically mutating there bodies.
Evelyn: So I did the only reasonable thing, and sold it to the black market to fund my research.
Evelyn: Even used it to get rid of the ones in my way.
Evelyn: All so, I could unlock the secrets of that gene.
Evelyn: But sadly my crimes were uncovered by your father.
Toddler (Y/n): And now you look like an orange.
Evelyn: That aside...
Evelyn: I believe you might be my breakthrough.
Toddler (Y/n):... Nerd.
Evelyn: The smartest nerd alive.
April then came back into the room.
April: So have you two bonded?
Evelyn: Of course. How could I not with how special he is.
(Present day)
Connor walked through the prison that used to have Evelyn in it.
Moving past all the burnt corpses of both guards and prisoners, he arrived at the cell of his mother in law.
There he finds a body.
It was unrecognizable, but there was one odd thing about the body. Her middle finger was out while the rest of her fingers were clenched.
Connor:(sarcastically) Really funny, Evelyn...
Only the corpse was burnt, not the cell itself. Looking around, Connor eventually noticed a poster that was held by one corner against the wall.
Looking behind the poster he saw written behind it, which said...
"Family reunion?"
