Author's POV
It's been a month since taarey's first wedding anniversary. Things haven't been like they expected them to be, they went down the hill in the last few weeks. Rey has been extremely busy in his academy and office that he could not take out time for Taani at all in the last month. Things are a little shaky in his office too, due to some deal and also the academy was facing some issues and they have faced a loss in their dance academy. Rey has been extremely tensed while Taani has completely no idea about what is going on.
During this period, distance between taarey has increased too. Rey, being busy and so drowned in his work and problems was completely neglecting his married life. It's been long since they spent some time together. He leaves for the academy early in the morning, then goes to his office too and again to his academy late at night to complete the work, he returns so late that she falls asleep by the time he returns. He is rarely present for the breakfast too, even then he would be busy in his files.
There was no proper conversation between them, even their phone calls have decreased. She sometimes call him in the day to ask about his well being but being angry he has lashed out on her many times. Even though she had took everything sportingly, aware that he is going through a rough phase and she should be there to support him in this instead of making a big issue out of it. She is determined that she would not repeat the mistakes that they made during their college time, and would try that work ad problems would never break them apart.
Although he has a fair idea of what is happening between them is wrong, for their marriage and for both of them too, he is helpless and is not able to rectify it. He really wants to spend time with her, but the work commitments need to be fulfilled and thus he pushes her thought away to the back of his mind everytime.
They both miss each other's presence a lot, but both know that at the moment that's a minimal possibility so they just go with the flow.
But Taani was really tired of all this till now, she really did not wanted her marriage to go down the drain because of lack of communication and support so she finally decided to talk to him, ask him what is the problem he is facing and if possible help him out with it. Hence she was sitting in the living room waiting for him to come back home, it was midnight, and he was as usual late. He eyes were shutting down continuously but she was trying really hard to stay awake. She was adamant on talking to him now.
Also, she needed to inform him about her one month trip to Venice for a fashion show which she has to attend, and that she will be leaving for it after two days. She really wanted to be with him in this rough time, but the fashion show was damn important and she has to attend it anyhow.
Her trance was broken when the door opened, Rey must have unlocked it with his keys. She looked ta him entering the house looking like a zombie, he looked weary, fatigued and worn out. His eyes had dark circles underneath them and his hair messed up. He had his blazer hanging on his arm while the other held his bag.
She looked at him concerned and stood up immediately going towards him, he was first shocked seeing her awake, being in the same house they were actually meeting each other after a long time. He leaves early for work before she wakes up and then return late ta night, but in all this she doesn't know that he never misses to wish her a morning or night with a sweet peck. How can he even start his day without his love's kiss and good luck.
"Taani? Tum soyi nahi?"
He asked her, she denied shaking her head,
"I was waiting for you."
He felt a little happy hearing that, she took his bag and coat from him and said hurriedly,
"You are looking tired, aap freshen up ho jao, I'll heat the dinner."
He nodded looking at her and went upstairs while she put his things on it's place and then went to the kitchen to heat up the food for him. She was herself very hungry as she didn't had dinner because of him, she was waiting for him. He came downstairs after freshening up and sat on the table while she served both of them dinner, he looked at her concerned,
"Why didn't you have dinner till now? Itna late tak bhuke rehna achha nahi hai, don't wait for me to have yours okay?"
She raised her eyebrows at him,
"Or itna sara kaam karna or bhuke rehna aapke liye sahi hai?"
He shook his head at her words, as if he can ever win from her when it comes to taking care of him. They had their dinner in complete silence, she could easily say that's oemthing was wrong, Rey didn't even react seeing all his favourite dishes on the table that too made by her. There's never a day when he doesn't praise her for food, but today he was lost in some other world and did not even concentrated on food. She decided to give him some space and ask him after the dinner.
He again went upstairs after having his meal while she cleaned up the dining table, that's a first too because he always helped her doing chores knowing even she works and gets tired after coming from office and both of them doesn't like to wake the serants up till late just because of them so they do it together after dinner.
She shrugged it off and quickly prepared coffee for him, aware that how much he likes to have coffee late night. Taking the mugs she ascended the stairs and went to their room, he was standing near the long windows beside their bed, gazing the patio. Taani called him,
"Rey! I brought coffee."
He looked at her and sat on the bed, she too settled down beside him and handed him the cup. They were silently sipping their coffe when she decided to break the ice,
"Rey! Is there anything wrong? Agar kuch hai to aap mujhe bata sakte hai."
He looked at her smiling slightly, but she could tell it was not his genuine smile,
"Kuch nahi Taani, bas office or academy ki thodi tension hai. Dono ko sath sambhalna thoda mushkil ho jata hai kabhi kabhi."
She nodded in understanding, juggling two things and still keeping them in top position is difficult and the fact he does it so effortlessly always leaves her in awe and a very proud feeling to have him as her husband. She kept her hand on his,
"Kya hua? Sab thik hai na academy or office mein?"
He held her hand tightly,
"Haan, actually office ka almost sort out ho gaya hai, we were actually working on a very big deal but academy, pata nahi bahot sare anonymous transcations aa rahe hai academy accounts mein."
She raised her borws hearing that,
"Matlab koi academy say paise chori kar raha hai? But who?"
He just shrugged his shoulders,
"Pata nahi, the whole teamis trying to catch the person but it's not easy Taani. It's not just this building, academy ki itni sari branches hai, itni sari cities or countires mein and the staff in all this is in thousands, koi bhi ho sakta hai."
She got tensed hearing this, looking at him asked,
"To ab?"
He again shrugged helplessly,
"We are trying to track the account details but as I said anonymous hai, it will take some time. But agar ye solve nahi hua then we might face huge loss, itna ki we would have to pay the high dues to banks and even have to shut down the academy."
Her eyes widened, she knows how passionate all of them are about their dance and this academy is their dream, passion, heardwork and sweat, if they ever have to close it, it would break the whole team apart. But she can't be hopeless in this time so she kept her hand on his shoulder,
"Don't worry Rey, aisa kuch nahi hoga, sab thik ho jaega..."
Rey, who was already tired of hearing everyone saying the same thing, lost his cool a little and said not even thinking about the words or consequences or how might they hurt Taani,
"Kya thik ho jaega Taani? Kese thik ho jaega. Vese bhi why am I expecting you to understand, tum kabhi nahi samjhogi, after all you are not a dancer, you won't ever understand how all of us are feeling....."
And she stilled at the spot not hearing anything besides,
'You are not a dancer, you won't ever understand.'

The Next Day
Both taarey were in their respective offices, working, even though Taani tried really hard to not focus on the words he said to her but she couldn't deny the fact that they hurt, they hurt a lot. She couldn't even concentrate on her work when her secretary, Maya, knocked on the door,
"Mam, Mr. Sharma wants to have a meeting with you regarding the new brand line."
Taani nodded and told her,
"Fix a meeting with him in this week."
Maya immediately said next,
"But mam, that's not possible, actually Mr. Sharma is leaving for Italy tonight and he won't be back till next month, so he requested if you can have a meeting with him tonight."
Taani thought for a moment before agreeing to her,
"Okay, fix a dinner meet tonight and please book the tables and other arrangements."
Maya nodded and got out of the cabin, Taani picked her phone up to call Rey and inform about her meeting but his phone was coming switched off, so Taani left a voice message for him,
Rey, I have to urgently attend a meeting with Mr. Vansh Sharma since he won't be available after today so I would be having a dinner meeting tonight. I might be a little late and won't be able to pick up your calls.Would try my best to reach home on time.Please have your dinner and sleep. Bye jaan, I love you!
Although she wasn't sure if he would hear the message due to his busy schedule but she did it on her part to inform him and got busy with her work.
Here with Rey he was extremely happy as he finally got the deal the whole office and his staff was working on. He came back to his cabin and was going to look at his phone when his secretary came inside,
"Sir, are you leaving for the academy now? Shall I ask the car to be ready?"
He thought for a moment, he felt like it's been a long time he spent time with Taani so without a thought he said,
"Yeah! But I will be leaving for home, even tell the staff that they can have a half day leave as they have exerted themselves because eof this deal, so half day treat for all of you."
His secretary smiled widely, thanking him left to inform everyone. He exited the cabin with a big smile on his face and sat in his car and asked the driver to drive back home,
Taani would be surely surprised seeing me early. She must be in the office right now. Ek kaam karta hun, let's not call her now. Ghar jake ek accha sa surprise plan karta hu, vese bhi I was very rude to her last night. Ab mistake rectify bhi to karni hai. She would be happy seeing the surprise, ek accha sa romantic dinner, flowers, music, dance and then a romantic night ahead.
He smiled big and ordered the stuff he wanted, as soon as he reached home he started with the preparations. He decorated their whole room and giving a leave to all the butlers he get on to make the food. It was soon night and all the preparations were done. He looked around and checked everything once.
It was already 8 but there was no sign of Taani whatsoever, so he thought that she might be a little late. Not giving it a thought he sat in the living room looking around when he looked at his phone lying there, he picked it up and was trying to switch it on but the battery was dead. So cursing himself he went to their room and put the phone on charging before descending the stairs again and coming in the living room.
The time was passing fast and still there was no sign of Taani. He was getting tensed by each second. He tried to call her from house phone but it was coming switched off, his worry increased ten folds. His gaze went towards the clock and it was close to midnight. Now his tension was at peak, he was again going to call her when the sound of car halting reached his ear. Sighing that it must be Taani, he went towards the window to see if she is back but the sight in front of him boiled his blood.
Taani got off the car with a guy, well dressed in a white blazer, he opened the door for her and Taani got down from his car, after hugging him she finally bid him bye and started walking towards the patio of their house.
A muscle twitched in Rey's face seeing the scene in front of him, first of all she didn't tell him where she was, second it's late, almost midnight and she is returning hom with a guy, her phone is switched off and on top of that she is hugging him as if he is her boyfriend.
Although he was just a business partner but for Rey, everything got so piled up, the tension, worry, bad thoughts, then the long wait and his impatience and finally the last nail in the coffin, Taani hugging the guy. His temper knew no bounds at the moment.
All he knew was he wanted some answers and he wanted them now.
