Authors POV
Eight months later (6th July @ midnight)
Taani was sleeping peacefully in the room hugging his pillow, Rey was there too sleeping a moment ago but he left for the kitchen when clock strike 11:55 pm, to get his surprise for his love. He entered the room with the food trolley and kept it beside the bed. He sat on the bed beside her and looked ta her face for a moment.
This face held his whole world in it. Raising his hand he pushed the strand of hair coming on her face. Giving a look at the clock to ensure it was time, he bend down and whispered in her ear,
"Happy one year of blissful marriage sweetheart."
And gave a peck on her lips waking her up, she looked at him with sleepy eyes, rubbing her eyes like a cute baby she asked him,
"Rey why are you awake at such a time?"
Shaking his head at her cuteness, he told her,
"Happy anniversary baby!"
Her eyes widened realising it was midnight and it was their first wedding anniversary, she looked at him sheepishly before wishing him with double excitement,
"Happy anniversary Rey, I love you!"
Saying that she pecked his lips softly, breaking it he replied to her,
"I love you too jaan! Chalo lets cut the cake."
She nodded excitedly, he brought the trolley near both of them, opening the lid he looked towards her for a reaction. It was the first time he baked something, although he cooks but he never ever baked a cake so he was really nervous, but looking at her wide smile he was relieved.
"Chocolate cake! Yummy! Aapne banaya?"
"Yes! I tried for the first time."
She clapped excitedly,
"Yippee! Lets cut it fast, yummy cakes ko kabhi wait nahi karana chahiye."
He chuckled at her weird theory of cakes, she was such a crazy fan of chocolate cakes and pastries, he sometimes wondered if she can survive on them her whole life and the answer is YES SHE CAN!
Holding each other's hand both of them blew the candle and cut the cake together, he took a piece and fed her and she did the same. She moaned at the taste of the cake and he breathe a sigh of relief that the cake tasted good, in fact it was delicious. They ate it sitting on the bed in each other's arms and talking. Soon their mobile phones rang, Vicky has messaged them to pick their skype group call, taarey chuckled at their friend's excitement and connected his laptop. Soon the whole screen was filled with their friend's faces grinning at them and the whole gang shouted,
"Happy Anniversary!"
Taarey chuckled thanking them,
"Thank you guys!"
"We didn't disturb you both right?"
Sharon asked them, not wanting to be a bone in between their personal time, Taani shook her head assuringly,
"No bhabhi we were just cutting the cake."
She nodded when Nil said teasingly,
"Yeah Sharon, I am sure they can continue with WHATEVER they were doing after our video call."
The boys chuckled making taarey blush, Rey passed him an 'you are impossible look', when Swayam said,
"Btw what's the plan today?"
Everyone shrugged and Neha said,
"Yeah married couple, where's our party?"
Soon the whole gang started shouting party party, taarey chuckled at their craziness, their friends were literally kids,
"You guys are invited tomorrow at our place, just a small celebration with you all okay?"
Rey told them making them frown,
"But why a small celebration, it's your first anniversary guys, you should throw a big party."
Rinni said, the others nodded in agreement when Taani said,
"You know na I am not a fan of big parties, hum sab enjoy karenge sath mein."
"Yeah! Perfect plan vese bhi hum sab hain to kisi or ki kya zaroorat hai, right guys?"
Swayam said enthusiaitically and all of them cheered in a loud yes.
"Chalo guys, let's cut the call I am sure they wanna spend some alone time together."
Simmi said gesturing towards taarey and agreeing to her everyone bid bye to the couple and they ended their video call. Rey kept the laptop aside, then looked at her with so much love,
"Kya hua?"
She asked him innocently making him smile,
"Can't believe it's been a year we are married now."
She sighed in bliss too, she was happy, very happy with their life,
"A year full of love, bliss and happiness."
He smiled pulling her closer to himself in his arms, they were talking about all the moments they spent together till this date, their memories they created in their married life, their fights which always brought them closer than before, their childishness when they are together and their love for each other.
They talked about the time they spent away from each other, the six long years which were not less than any imprisonment, then the shocking treaty between their families, their journey towards their wedding, taani's contract and his anger, their musical, their words which they said to each other in anger, then their wedding which was nothing less than a royal dream.
Their wedding night and finally the night of their reception when they became one for the first time, their honeymoon period, their trip and Rey fulfilling all her wishes and so on. Everything went like a movie in front of their eyes. Sleep soon took over both of them and the darkness enveloped their beings, making them fall into a pit of beautiful dreams and aspirations.
