The Light

Emotions rip my sanity apart,
Sending me down into the depths of despair,
All logical thoughts have fled,
Leaving me fumbling in the dark.
There is no light,
No end in sight.
I pull at my hair,
Trying to make the good memories appear.
But sadly all I see are the bad,
And all I feel is the pain-
Piercing my heart.
My mind is left fragmented,
Filling with strangely comforting notions.
All of a sudden, the lights come on,
In front of me lies a dark cold gun
Putting it to my head, closing my eyes
I pull the trigger, while whispering goodbye.
i daresay... the more poems i write ... the worse i become... anywho :)
